Thank you for talking about these amazing new features. The whole english UA-cam, Twitter etc is full of people talking about iOS and no one really talks about Samsung so it makes it seem like iOS has everything and Samsung is just a random boring alternative. With videos like this however, you really show that OneUI can be even more fun to use than iOS in many aspects, even in places that are supposed to be new in iOS. Many iPhone users hate Samsung without knowing what makes Samsung great, and why we keep buying Samsung. It has its problems like every brand, but the OS is fun and has absolutely everything. Great video!
The one UI from samsung always catching up IOS, seems they copy and apply it on the one ui, in the ends tight money people buy samsung, rich & productive people buy iphone for quality.

Guess I'm poor and absolutely not productive at all with my fold4 then, oh well, sucks for me I guess.
What a retarded comment lol. You can even get a used iPhone XS that is almost the same as the newer ones for $200. And all iPhone users I see keep their phones for 4-5 years and are still rocking iPhone 6s to 8. Also poorer people are the ones who usually worry about "looking rich" for their friends and almost always have iPhones. Many people go into debt and pay their "new iPhone" in 3 years of monthly payments or more. I worked at a tech store before, I absolutely know what I'm talking about. People constantly got there trying to make credits that failed, because they earned minimum wage of 600€ and were trying to pay a 1600€ phone monthly for years, and the credit company refused and they got sooooo sad (oh no I cant go in debt for 3x my wage, so sad). All this when they could very well buy a already great mid-end Android like a Pixel 7 or a Galaxy S22 for less than half that. But nooo, poor people are the ones who will buy an iPhone the fastest because those are the ones who usually dream about "looking rich" for their peers. Same with those who buy a 30 year old extremely used Mercedes with infinite problems (the "money pits"), instead of paying the same price for something better and less used just because "omg it's a Mercedes".
Real rich and actually successful people buy whatever the fck they want and don't care about what others think about it, and absolutely won't say that Android is for poor people, because they probably have both phones and enjoy them equally.
I don't hate iPhones. I just hate when people say they are for rich and successful people and Android is for trash people. That is the most zero-brained thing you can say in your life. iPhones literally look cheap and extremely basic compared to certain Androids. Just like some Androids look trash too. I have a Fold4 and I absolutely love it even if it literally costed DOUBLE what the most expensive iPhone costs. But I payed it in full at once, and I absolutely love it each day. A tablet in my pocket, with a pen and extreme productivity. I read emails and work with it in split screen most of the time. I do what I could never do with my old phone. I'm succesful at my job, earn well and got promoted recently. But I'm sorry, I guess I'm a complete failure and absolutely poor by your standards after reading your comment. Damn, I guess I should really rethink my life choices and BuY aN iPhOnE fOr RiCh aNd SuccEsFul PeOplE
@@azenyr i never said android for poor, including samsung, in general or in statistic people buying iphone, people who bought folding phones are minority (probably for their secondary phones), like what i said people in the ends people will buy iphones (majority) as their primary, not tech expert or some youtubers who doing that just for showoff or viewers, almost all people i seen using an iphone including artist and celebgram

Customizing call backgrounds is another cool addition. One UI 5.1 will be having even more changes and tweaks (new widgets) but One UI 6 is expected to be even more substantial.

@@mangekyou329 Well usually this is more of a revolution - evolution circle as we have also seen in iPhone. So don't get your hopes up as much for 7 but you should definitely be looking forward for 8!
Customizing call background isn't new tho. I've been doing that for a long time.

@steveglitterbutt I went from iPhone 13 Pro to 14 Pro but my god the battery was horrible and it got REALLY hot!
I returned the 14 Pro and got myself the S22 Ultra 512GB in Graphite 👌🏻
I only downloaded chrome on my 13 Pro to sync passwords between chrome and Safari, the rest was easy breasy 😎
Now I'm debating between S24 Plus or Ultra for the next upgrade 🙈

@@AhmedIbrahim_ I decided to pass on the S24 series and get the new S25 instead :) i'm however buying a new Galaxy tablet this summer to replace my 4 year old iPad Air.
Samsung's One UI has been my favorite OS since version 4 released. Samsung caught up to Apple in hardware design with the S6. Now, finally, their software is not only the best Android OS (skin), but also beats iOS imo. And especially for those with mid range Samsung phones, having access to a 120hz display with this quality of software is something no one from Apple can get, and really not anywhere else in Android. Samsung has really levelled the playing field, and I think it's great.
Yeah, my last Samsung phone was the S3 slim and now going to s20 fe 5g is amazing to see that it's now actually better than the stock android, at the time it was way way worse imo
5:19 is already been there before but overall, OneUI can be unique even if you're seen it before and I prefer it. Nice job, Ella

Obviously they already with a new one ui version and that is one ui 5.1 more change
This new update is fantastic, especially the digital wellbeing features of having different modes. I currently use it to focus while studying, editing videos and exercise. My only complaint was that before on ui4, they actually count the time you spent on each mode, but before we could only have 3 options so I guess they removed the timer and I want it back. Which btw I use it to limit my use on apps like social media and monitor de time I'm actually using them. Bisby routines are quite amazing too. At least as a Samsung user they work like a charm

Just got it several hrs ago on my Galaxy S10 Lite. Really nice, have rearranged my lock screen layout and have customised some of my call layouts. This video actually made me aware of most of these features in question, so really appreciate the effort put into this. Thanks!

Good stuff here. Even though we had the split screen stuff before on good lock but they had taken it away. Also I've always had PIP for UA-cam without having UA-cam premium. Which also was another feature u could use in Good Lock. Sometimes I wish they would just bake these features into your standard OS rather than having you download good lock and all of this individual apps or add ons

05:45 I can't remember a time when multiple timers could not be set on stock android (also available in android 13). One of my biggest issue with IOS. It seem so simple yet the iPhone is still missing this feature. 😡
Wanted to mention another cool trick that involves Bixby. In the Bixby settings, you can toggle on "Talk to Bixby without wake up" which will allow you to tell your phone to answer and decline calls, dismiss or snooze alarms and dismiss or restart timers. I'm not sure if it's an android 13 trick tho
I use this. It's not instantaneous, there's a significant lag between your voice command and the phone acting.
I just had my old phone upgrade to Android 12 about 6 weeks ago, and now my new one got the 13 update today. I'm already liking some of these...the backgrounds and multiple timers I've already dabbled in. The split screen I will have to investigate. I never used it before, but it might be worth a go now. @@invisible716 Switched from the Samsung A11 to A13. I use my phone really just for calls, text and music. My Chromebook gets most of my use.

Date and time watermark is super underated feature that I hope apple add it in the future, like when you share a photo others can know when you took it, or when you move it the date can change sometime so having the date printed on the photo helps so much

Great video! Feature 6 is something that I've been looking for since I'm switching to this phone from a Huawei P30 Pro, which has a quick sidebar where I could do pop up view very easily.
Now if only someone does the knuckle knock for screenshots and screen recording for non Huawei phones also....

4:43 It seems the Smart Suggestions widget didn't make it only the A52/A53 range as yet unfortunately, all the other features are available in this update though, thank you for your easy explanation. Loving the widget stacking and new lock screen options.

That looks so nice, myself over the Years with Amoled screens, i choose minimal background black, i noticed on my iphone 12promax when I choose a new background with clock, etc....on the 16.2 ios the battery will drain faster, so i revert to nothing...the battery life is very important for me.

Great video! The only thing you forgot to mention is that we have been able to change the lock screen wayyyy before Apple. We just had to use Goodlock, now they baked it into the lock screen. Apple actually copied Goodlock which is a Samsung made app! 😉

it should be available. Go search software update in settings and see if the update is available. If not you should be able to get it by new years
One of my reasons to not have an iPhone is that I don't like being locked into an ecosystem like Apple's. Ironically, with Samsung, I'm in a pretty similar position. Leaving One UI would be a pretty tough deal...
Samsung don't really lock people in like Apple does. If you can't leave OneUI, it's because you prefer it
It's different. With Samsung you're here because you enjoy the system. With Apple you're there because you're tethered to iCloud, AirPods, Apple Watch...
Eh I don't think Samsung locks us into an ecosystem, think about it... in Apple's appstore, there are a lot of apps you can not get from the store that you can get from the Google Play store... plus, Apple restricts what you can do with your phone when Samsung/Google doesn't restrict us whatsoever. But this is just my view. 👍🏽

Cool update, thanks for the updates on the updates. I like the tennis 🎾 wallpaper that of which makes me, want to go for a game of tenis? Other than that nice improvement in the text search option in pictures and videos, but it would be really cool to add an image search option, as well upon highlighting a particular image, subject on a picture and or paused video. Making a transparent cutout has been a feature for years now, I remember doing it on my s10 for discord emotes
Not sure if this was available on the older Android 12. But after updating to Android 13, i see group messaging from iPhone users, where as before it was just sent individually from per person
I have the ZFold4 and this update is huge... huge in size and in perks... ... I was becoming bored with the phone, but this update added a much needed freshness. .....

in the notification panel, how do you change the design of the notifications? I feel like they are mixed in too much with the white background, i preferred the previous notifications design.
is the lockscreen changes only available via good lock app? the problem with samsung is that good lock or any of those new customized features are only available on certain regions. If I am not mistaken good lock is not available here in the Philippines. As well as routines and other samsung apps. The only way to add them is via 3rd party download apk files which is actually not an official way to add it.

The transparent cutout is already in the past oneui versions
The same goes for lock screen, stacked widegt, and almost everything else. But in youtuber's world features do not exist before they are introduced in iOS.

I saw you've on your screen the clock widget that looks like those of the Pixels. It's native with your Samasung or you downloaded a third-party app ?

is that freeform snap on cut out in images and removing background really a new feature on oneui 5? On my galaxy s10 (oneui 4.1) it can do the same albeit not as good as my zfold 2 which snaps on slightly better? Or is there something I'm missing here?

Finally, multiple timers. I'm always surprised that the Samsung clock doesn't have it. I used Google Clocks for that.
