Isopropyl alcohol doesn’t actually dissolve the glue holding in the battery, instead it permeates in between the battery and the glue because of its low surface tension and breaks the vacuum between the glue and the battery.
@@JerryRigEverything It’s not the surface tension that permeates it’s the lack off. Water has a high surface tension that forms a barrier that prevents it from permeating between the glue and the battery. Adding some dish soap to water will remove the surface tension making it able to permeate and break the vacuum just like isopropyl alcohol. This is why the effect is instant and you won’t end up with a glue isopropyl alcohol solution.

Hey, the video was sponsored by the number 4, which I don't think was an accident!
I have one of these. It does feel really solid and the hinge action is good. The speakers are the best I've ever had on a phone. This teardown shows there must have been a ton of R&D gone into the device.
how is the battery life on the device?
I think Samsung has the best speakers on the market, the flagships just sound so fucking amazing.
@@alexitosrv same as the one before. when u have a charger at the office, in the car, on your motorcycle, in your bathroom and next to your night stand battery life is irrelevant anymore.
default settings last aroud 12 hours and more if you use battery saving. if you take the time to tune the settings such as turning off accurate tracking with wifi and bluetooth and deep sleep apps you dont really use i get 24+ hours easily, granted im not a facebook/social media addict that spend more than 4 hours looking at the phone every day my usual screen time per day is around 2 hours but i do listen to music quite alot so your mileage may vary
This video has convinced me to save up and buy one of these phones. Honestly it is just like you say, a near invincible masterpiece of technological design. Pushes the absolute limits of cellphone form and really amazed me. Excellent video as always!
Until I have no other option I think I'm going to try to stick with a more durable screen.

I say you should wait for a few years until the folding screen technology gets more refined and mainstream. Until then, I still don’t think it’d be reliable enough to withstand our day to day lives.
@@insert_username_here nope the previous gen are holding up quite well.... for people who switch phones every year this phone possess no risk at all.since Samsung will replace the screen for free in the first year.

I've been subbed for many years now, and have gotten "used to" seeing you tear phones apart. But this was so painful to watch nonetheless. A true masterpiece for sure! Can't wait for the Z Flip 3 teardown!

It depends. Yes it's an advanced device, no doubt, but I do not think that one only "extra" - the folding screen, justifies doubling the price than a normal flagship. Its just that it's a lot of engineering ( and price increase) for only one extra feauture.
Price is justified, but customer will rather want 1 screen for half the money
@@bluehonour02 it is a normal smartphone + a tablet tho. It's not like a normal phone that folds, that's the flip. You can never put a screen that big and with that aspect ratio inside your pocket if it doesn't fold (or scroll, which is a totally different story).

Isopropyl alcohol doesn’t actually dissolve the glue holding in the battery, instead it permeates in between the battery and the glue because of its low surface tension and breaks the vacuum between the glue and the battery.
I don't know much about permeating surface tensions, but this sounds smart enough to be correct.
@@JerryRigEverything lmao
@@JerryRigEverything When you can't convince them. Confuse them.
@@JerryRigEverything
It’s not the surface tension that permeates it’s the lack off.
