Nice video Robert. Thanks again nothing like a good cup of coffee and a trip from Northcape to Lofoten to start my day.

So many familiar places! I just got the feeling that I want to drive there again maybe next summer!
Me too :-)
Okay, we will meet in Norway then :D
Wonderful! 💗💗💗
Thank you!
Very nice video. I think you got lucky with the rain, it makes the landscape look even better.
Btw i was just about a few weeks ago at Sørstraumen (11:30) fishing and camping, we drove there all the way from Rauma, Finland.
It's cool to see someone else like you just driving by really close to the place, you should've stopped there for some Cod and Saithe.
I was tempted to stop at many places, but we just didn't have the time. I will go back... by the way we also visited Rauma on the way back to Helsinki. Thank you!
Great job on your videos! It's great that you can do them in 4k, it takes a lot of computing power for editing those. Also appreciate the drone footage you are able to do, too! Excellent!!
Thank you!
nice stuff Robert, Norway looks beautiful, it looks more interesting and mountainous than Finland, guess it depends where you go. I’m hopefully gonna do a road trip similar next year so this is good to watch 👍✊
Norway is mostly mountain, Finland has few mountains
The views,..the conversation,..great editing, and I've got to say I love this song!!!!!! Is it online where I can buy it?? I have had that song on my mind...Love the angel 'ahhhhhh' part. Lol.
Hi, thank you. It is not online yet, but it will be soon.
I enjoy watching your videos and I really enjoyed this series in Scandinavia. It was so beautiful!
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account?
I was stupid lost the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Isaac Kase instablaster ;)
@Abraham Javier Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out now.
I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Abraham Javier It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out !
@Isaac Kase Glad I could help :)
Being someone who grew up in this constant overcast rainy cold climate, you reminded me why I got out of there. Yuk!! Enjoy your vacation Robert and I know you'll be so happy when you get back to the sunny world. You're definitely taking one for the team so to speak. No need for solar panels there...and think too, this is their NICE time of year!
Ehm, there was a long period of rainy weather in the north of norway this summer, much more than normal. In the south we were sweating our arses off in a 3 month long heatwave. After Robert left the heatwave struck the north as well, with temperaturs up to 30 degrees celcius. He was just unlucky with his timing.
I escaped southern Norway, to Northern Norway, to get some liveable conditions. I am glad I did. Robert was extra unlucky. I had a handfull of sunny days in the two weeks I was there. The midnight sun is unbeatable. You don't have that in LA.
James Farnham Yuk? Nothing beats rainy cold climates.
James Farnham I thought the same thing...wonder how many sunny days in a year they have! I wouldn’t be able to live here. So thankful I can see it through Roberts viewing!
Hi. I have noticed one special about German RV users. They travel trough out of Europe and find beautiful places, but what they do? They elevate their satellite antennas and start watching TV. Who needs TV when traveling in Norway? It can also be seen on 9:43. By the way, great video once again. Tero
I noticed that too. Thanks Tero
Are you sure that it's for TV? Maybe it's for satellite Internet access?
@@drevoborod8613 Doubt it, satellite internet is very expensive and there is almost complete 4g coverage in Norway.
I think it’s probably for watching porn 😉😂
Thank you very much for another great video with spectacular views, Robert! And could you please name music track that you use in the beginning and later in the video? It's very nice and i would like to find it to listen separately.
I just finished composing it. I am calling it Lofoten for now. It is not online yet, but it will be soon
You may have already answered this, but I would be interested in knowing the MPG's you got on that diesel rig with a standard transmission.. Shame we can't get something like that in the states...
And this was June. That are is covered by snow 8-9 months per year.
Did you guys ate a lot of bacalao over there? My parents love it, I noticed the bacalao we eat in Puerto Rico comes from Norway.
Spanish bacalao with norwegian fish is awesome, whether eaten in Spain or made by spaniards in norway. :)
What road would I need to take from Kristiansand to Trom? I can't really figure it out on google maps. thanks Joe
It feels like THOR will come out of no where. You are in the land of the gods and titans.
In july they had 30+degC / 85-90F in this area... A 30 year cycle
I went one month too early
I live 15 minutes from that Sami camp at the road
Fantastic video congratulations, just a brief question , what time of the year you did it .
Thank you for keeping us so absorbed in your great explorations , and fabulous descriptions
Thank you! This was in early June
Traveling Robert Thank you
When were you there? The snow on the mountains is beautiful.
That was in June
Robert, Norway is a place most of us will never see, and you showed us in your usual awesome way. We also think your music is perfect for your videos. Hope to see more. Thank you!
Great videos from Norway. Question...About how much does it cost to rent one of these rv's? I checked the Savonia website but couldn't find that info in English. Maybe I missed it. Thanks and Happy Travels!
Looks like Savonia's prices are around €1 100 - 1 200/week during high season (July-August) and under €700/week during low season (most winter months).
Very beautiful! Is the weather there cloudy and over cast most of the year?
Yep, see James Farnham's answer above.
Not as much as it was this June when Robert visited. It was the wettest june ever recorded in this part of Norway. After he left, the heatwave struck Northern-Norway. Also, Norway is a looong country with different climatezones.
Awesome drive, did you meet bikers, is it possible to do this with a bike?
Now that I think of it I don't think I saw many bikers. There were a few going to the North Cape
Sometimes I just cant believe places like these exist...God is so good. As always Mr. Robert you take such awesome video and I can tell you put a lot of effort into them. Thanks so much for always taking us along on these journeys! I hope to one day visit sites like these and other places.
The "n" in "Rafsbotn" is pronounced.
8:38
You didn't stop to look at the petroglyphs in Alta?
9:49
Hum, I don't think of "Lefse" as flat bread, but ok.
We *do* have a tradition for flat breads, but they look different.
13:07
Not harvesting, that is a fish farm.
Essentially they're breeding fish there to sell instead of fishing it from the sea.
How much was it to. rent your Rv? How much was gas per gallon when translated from liters?
Savonia caravans rent their RVs from €700 to €1 200 / week depending on model and season. In Nordic countries diesel is around US$6.5 / gallon. And RV like the one Robert was driving makes around 15 to 25 MPG (of course depending on driving style).
how do you do the map with the arrow line showing the route
I used an application called Motion
12:48 mountain vistas
How much cost to rent this camper van per day? Amazing video... thanks once again!
It's around €700 to €1 200/week depending on season.
@@TheUglyGnome Thank you!!!
This series makes me rethink that just maybe having a class c or class b is better than having a trailer...🤔 Less space but seemingly more function
It is certainly easy to park... but for now it is a trailer for me, not that I got a truck.
did you rent an rv and do you travel alone, i never see others in your videos
I travel with my wife but she doesn't like to be on camera most of the time
just saw a picture of your wife as part of north cape video. She looks great and let her know she should be in your videos with you. Would love to have her point of view as you travel.
Sometimes you have to stop on the side of the road🌏:-)
There was a glitch in the matrix... You drove past the same houses twice 16:42 and 16:49 :)
Indeed
😍🌍
I do not think that distances were under-estimated. It is just that our roads are so far from the standards of the US freeways..
Thanks for the clip. But you skipped Tromsø and Senja. You missed some real good stuff there.....
If I had only had one extra week
Oh and also Circle K were all over the place...who knew? LOL
Circle K bought the petrol stations from the norwegian oil company Equinor in a deal they made a couple years ago, so it's rather recent actually.
@@cleverlyblonde I think that Equinor at the time of purchase was named "Statoil", but I might be wrong about that.
@@Greybone62 No, they were named Statoil
13:00 - looks like a salmon farm
So that's what they look like. Thank you!
Beautiful country. Home of Vikings.
Skibotn = Yykeänperä (finnish name)
I have a supermarket fetish also, but only when visiting other countries
Cool, so I'm not the only one
@@TravelingRobert Swede here. I have found it fun to browse US grocery stores, even in Florida, however as I've been staying in hotels I haven't really been able to cook much ;)
Did you see multiple ethnicities there?
Not really, didn't see many people at all for that matter.
Traveling Robert ok thanks
The northernmost part of Norway is in fact home to several ethnicities. In addition to Norwegians there are of course the Sami people who were the original inhabitants of the area. In the 18th and 19th century there was a significant influx of the Kven people from Finland, and in recent decades a number of people have also moved there from Russia.
Alot of north-norwegians are samis and kvens(finns that moved to Norway to build a better life). Most are a mix of ethnic norwegians and the mentioned minorities. The more south you get in northern Norway, the less there are of these minorites.
So...Don't know how it happened but I had CC turned on during this video and got a kick out of the descriptions of the music which were displayed. You figure out which song was which ;-)
Light Upbeat Pop music
Diving Orchestral music
Pulsating Electronic music
Rhythmic Synthesizer music
