Hey Guys. In this week's lesson, I am going to teach you about using the sampler on DJ decks. This is a really cool sampling technique that I use all the time.

I think its super cool that the DDJ RB has a button that pulls samples from your tracks and saves them in the sampler! I wish more controllers had that feature.

Good tip for taking the low end out of the sample. This is the first tutorial where I finally see someone put in a sample. I love how most of these tutorials skipped completely where to put the sample. I felt like a moron when I realized I had to expand the menu lol.

I've been DJing since the 1980s, same with making beats. I use FL Studio to accomplish what you've demonstrated here.

How to get sampler to play continiously when switching between different sampler banks. For example whenever i play a sample from bank A, and i want to add another one in from bank C, sample A stops.
Completely new to Ableton, is there a free version of the software? And would it be able to do this kind of sample making?

Is there a way to record samples with out using a daw? For example could i record "ah, damn girl" in serato pro as it was playing md track, and save it as a sample?
Btw i totally agree with learning basic - advanced producing skills to enhance mixing abilities. I'm more or less asking if there was a quick way to create and save samples on the fly
Why not just cut the sample straight from ur deck on Serato and save it in the sampler. Using loops
