    THANK YOU SO MUCH... this has been an issue with my finacees 02 Jeep GCL - he didn't worry too much about the check engine light, but I have to drive it for a few weeks and your videos helped me "leave it better than I found it"

    Awesome, my headlight was stuck just like you said. Hit the points with WD40, and presto! Easy fix. Thanks!

    Perfect!!! THANK YOU! Loved the static vs. dynamic coefficient of friction side-bar, discussion and solution. WD40 worked like a champ. My rig has new lights on it, working perfectly now - and I owe you big time. :) TY TY TY. Onto the fog lights next!!!

    Hey Brian I have a '99 jeep grand limited cherokee and your videos are the most helpful out there! After just recently purchasing this vehicle I have noticed that sometimes when I pump the brakes when I'm coning to a stop my jeep will begin to shake side to side. Was wondering what your thoughts on that issue are and whether it is an easy inexpensive fix or a more expensive fix. Thanks

    The WD-40 trick on metal/plastic unions where it's dirty is awesome. Plus, tons of Jeep cold into my shop. Ya never know when a bulb needs changing. No matter the difficulty it pays the least so time savers are huge!

    Asked a few shops to swap the headlights out because they offered, but after looking they gave a massive talk about how they would have to pull out a bunch of parts to get to the bulb, I'm going to be very surprised if the replacement is really this simple

    brian, thanks for the physics refresh... force (friction) = force (normal) x coefficient (friction). so, coefficient (friction) = force (friction) / force (normal).

    Tha is for the video. I figured I could do this myself I was just a little worried about pulling too hard and breaking something. Changed my bulb and I am good.

    dude, im in the market for a jeep grand cherokee what years would you recommend or avoid?
    thumbs again as always.

    • @wmweirich
      @wmweirich 5 років тому

      Avoid the FIRST model year change, e.g. for the WJ, that is 1999, etc. Many more technical service bulletins (TSB) - factory fixes - on the first years, in general, and specifically with the 1999 JGC Limited (brakes, drive shaft, brakes, rear-end, did I mention brakes?, lol). Find a site that publishes the TSB's for a year and do the comparisons yourself. www.wjjeeps.com/index.htm

      99 jgc the headlight sensor in in the same bit of plastic that holds the red alarm light. Check it out with a mirror. Sensor is about 1/8 " in diameter.
