Martinbuilt, the king of the WJ'S 😊
This was darn near the best most informative how-to video I've ever watched. Great work sir
Awesome, thank you. I like that you leave in the little errors so we can see you correct for them and explain them. Thank you for sharing this information. I had someone back into my car while parked in the street in front of my house, then leave without acknowledging what they had done. Your video will go a long way toward my repair.
Thank you. I'm glad to hear you liked it and found it helpful. I like to put a lot of detail into my videos so that anyone can understand and give them the confidence that they can perform the task.
I know the feeling of having a little ding, just makes you crazy so I sense your relief. It's great you were able to find a fender the right color for so cheap, once again , gotta love the pick and pull!
Definitely, heading to the Pic-a-Part tomorrow there is a black 04 they just got in hopefully the hood is great condition.
I just picked up an 04 H.O. and have to replace both front fenders. You have such great videos! Your instruction is spot on! Wish I lived down the street I'd bring mine over and we'd work on both units lol. Yours is crazy good looking! Way to go! God bless you!
Thank you, I really appreciate that.
Just made a move to a bigger shop I'll be putting a video out on that.
Such great detail on how to replace the front fender! Thanks Martin!
My pleasure!
Martin Great job on the videos! A real pleasure to watch- real informative, well explained especially how you edit in circles and arrows. Very well made! Found your channel because I have a ‘99 XJ, ‘04 WJ to name just a few. Thank You!
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it And found it helpful and informative. I also have 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee as you can see and a 98 XJ
@@martinbuilt I noticed that-good content. Getting ready for valve train rebuild on my “ticker” ‘14 Chry T&C, rockers, lifters, maybe phasers? I’m certain to have a least 1 bad cam shaft!
I just bought an 04 overland thats the same color with a damaged front fender. Perfect timing sir.
Super helpful video. Made this project so much easier
Great to hear, glad you liked it 👍😊
Thanks. I just changed the right side on our 2000 Grand Cherokee. It wasn't that hard to do, but it made it even easier knowing what to expect.
Glad to hear you found it helpful.🙂
About time someone made a fender removal video. Thanks Martin! As for your hood I would do that repair yourself and have it painted by a shop since you got a hood scoop.
You are welcome 😊
Yeah I may just have to repair it and have repainted.
what a beautiful pick-a-part find! anyone in the “salt belt” knows these WJ fenders rust out! Ive done this, and making sure the gaps are proper was not easy!😅 i love the grand cherokee videos- thing is looking fierce, nice job Martin😎🇺🇸
Yeah I was pretty pleased finding that Fender especially in that great condition. Thank you 😊
Always a great video Martin 👍😁
Thank you, I really appreciate that. 😊
Great to see you again. Thanks for the valuable information.
More to come!
Dude............Best Video I have ever seen .....YOU KNOW what you are doing it is quite evident!! I hate all the videos on here where a complete NOVIS tries to demonstrate how to do something....drives me bonkers!!! Great Job!!! Thanks! Tim....Alaska
Thank you 😊 I really appreciate that 🙏
What a great video! I don’t think he could have made it any better. I live in New Hampshire and I have NO garage. I’ll have to replace my right fender in the driveway, hopefully with no snow. I love my rust bucket!
Thank You Martin. Great content as always.
Glad you enjoyed it 😉
Excellent vid. Thanks Martin
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it and found it helpful.
Awesome job. Your G-Cherokee looks mean and clean.💪
Thanks! 👍
Your rig is packed with ideas and CLEAN! I just put my 01 WJ 4.7 4x4 on the driver side, avoiding a Collison I capsized it. Looking to save time, if not money on parts I searched for some insight in performing the job, of course your videos are top of the heap.
Enter WJ and who always is on top with the most subscribers? MARTINBUILT! The WJ is built like a Russian Army T-73. Thanks for another concise and time saving video. Looks great like all your work!
Thank you, James. I really appreciate that. It's always nice to hear that my videos are helpful.
I love the WJ series. I think it's the best-looking Grand Cherokees they ever made. Stay tuned, I got a HUGE surprise coming up in May of 2022 Maybe sooner than that.
I love your jeep Martin. It's really in a mint condition.
Thank you, I do love this WJ
This was fantastic, thanks!
Thank you. I appreciate that.
Very awesome work there, I'm about to do the same job there myself,.. Thank you for the tutorial,... Wish me luck...
You can do it 🙂
I'm glad you found it helpful 👍
you have a really nice jeep man
Thank you, I appreciate that.🙂
Thank You!
You are very welcome, glad you found it helpful. 🙂

Might need to do this for my rusted out drivers side fender on my 2000 grand Cherokee
It is fairly easy but in your cause getting the hardware out (because of the rust) will be the hardest part.
Regarding the antenna cable, instead of fishing it through the inner fender, you can also disconnect it at the whip. The cable should just pull out of the underside of the antenna base.
good video
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it and found it helpful. Thanks for watching.
I love it
Thank you, me too! 😎
Excellent video, it helped me quickly replace the passenger side fender on an 02 grand cherokee. I'm curious, do you have any videos on the antenna base assembly itself? I tried removing the nut with the proper 3-prong socket, but the plastic has seemed to mold/fuse with the nut. I basically mangled the antenna base assembly trying to remove it, and can no longer secure the antenna to the new fender. I tried going to the junk yard to get a replacement antenna base, same problem. Thanks for any tips/links you can provide.
👍 Ótimo trabalho(good job).
São Paulo Brasil. Obrigado.
Thank you, Marcos 🙂
Ty bro
You're very welcome i'm glad you liked it and found it helpful.
Perfect timing martin,im just about to change my drivers side fender has a case of northeast fungus rot just on fender wheel lip top.i held it off with bondo but now thats peeling.so time to do it.!!are you gonna make some cool sliders for the rockers.ive got the chrome pipe type on but dont truly like them they stick out to far.and wouldnt provide any protection.its all show no go.ok well good to see ur still doing content!snookie pa.
Good luck with it. You coming from the rust belt I'm sure I made made this look easy. Spray all the hardware and let it soak for days before attempting to remove any of it.
very good video dude. please tell me where to buy the front cladding is exactly the kind of hachu that stands by your car I will be grateful if you tell me
you should do a video on specs of the jeep
power/torque 0-60, whatever you might know.
Should work on the xj more ?
nice job, I think you will have that car for the rest of your life!
I think so too!
Getting the same color part rarely match but black generally doesn't matter
great, clear video.. I'm not clear why you need to unhook the antenna wire inside. Cant the antenna just be swapped?
Yes, exactly, thank you
Good video. Where did you get your bumper cover-grill from
Thank you. The bumper cover is the factory original and then the grille is one that I custom built here is a link to the video. ua-cam.com/video/GLnlaWFElWM/v-deo.html
I need that fender, cant find one here in mexico tijuana $$$$
I had a little ding like that on the gas tank of my Triumph Tiger TR6, I looked at it every day for 5 years. My eyes were always drawn to it. It drove me nuts but I didn't want to Bondo and repaint the tank from the original metallic green which were identical to the fenders. I never would have matched the fenders and then THAT would have driven me nuts. Dings are very annoying.
I feel your pain, I could have just bought a new or used fender that didn't match but then I would have to get it painted and that would be at least $200 so with a little patience it paid off.
I have a gap between the side of my driver headlight and the fender..what do you think might be the cause of it? Both my oem and aftermarket light have a fitment issue
Check the header panel for breaks in the plastic this could cause the headlight to move and cause that gap.
What size is the deep socket for the two inner screws closer to the door?
10mm
On laredos, do I need to drop the rocker cover in order to remove the fender? I cant seem to be able to find the two bottom screws
Yes you're most likely need to remove the rocker cover.
How do I pull the fender up towards the headlight more?
You may need to add a shim
What's going on with the Dakota you bought?
I got something coming soon, it is hard to divide my time with three vehicles.
I always think to myself while watching your videos, you have an excellent beard. Consider beard modelling my guy.
lol.😆 Maybe one day.
Who makes that cowl hood?
I used an MMD 71323-00 hood scoop that I purchased from www.americanmuscle.com for 138.99 free shipping. Made to fit the 05-09 Mustangs.
hey martin i want to host you in turkey maybe we will do something for my 2004 GC 2.7 wj when it comes :)
I'm faltered 🤗
@@martinbuilt you’re still strong king of wj 🤴🏻
Did you have to take the wheel off?
I would recommend it, It makes it a lot easier.
Why didn’t you just jack the car up so the sway bar tilts and the jug drops right out
Looks like a good video but no sound 🤷♀️
lol I bought new fenders, had them painted, and put them on recently.
How much did that run? I need to do the same thing!
@@SledsandGear fenders are cheap, even new. Now professionally painted, not so cheap.
and that's why I was hoping to find them at the salvage yard.
Your Grill is so nice... I like it... please Let me know the shopper address
