- Gear Review | My Fox Comp boots are the least expensive motorcycle boots I own. Despite this, they are probably the only boots I should be wearing if I am leaving pavement. - Frank

Wise words indeed Frank, you hit it on the head when you were talking about compromise for the bike, ride and environment.
the MIGHTY VERBAL WIDGET !!!!!! - "DOOHICKY" !!!!
Hello Dave!
@@pilotdane1 OBI-WAN!
@@ParallelCamper Good morning Rob.
The doohicky is a LIE! hehehehe - Frank
FRANK !!! - Another great review - Thanks so much - I used to have a set of "FORMA" BOOTS - Not bad, and you could walk anywhere with them - That said, after a few years - the leather shrank so much I couldn't get my foot in.... So in the garbage they went. I appreciate this review - I will be looking into them 🙂
Cheers !!!!
Hello Dane!
Hello Dane, well DAMN! Thats the first time I have heard of moto boots shrinking! - Frank
I have the lower Forma waterproof boots now for 6 years.
I put a leather boot protector spray on them once or twice per season and they are like new. I also keep them clean.
All boots require some attention.
Great comparison between MX and Adv boots. I prefer my MX boots over my Adv as well. I have cheap ones but they do the trick.
Hello Matt, That's one of the great things about MX boots. Even a $130 pair of them offers excellent protection.
I cannot think of another piece of protective gear where the "cheap" option delivers good protection. (Gloves, helmets, jackets etc.) - Frank
Good advice!
I just dumped my Africa Twin in gravel when I happened to be wearing my regular work boots. Stupid I know but I was just going for a short street ride. My ankle was smashed/sprained under the bike. I Sure wish I would've been riding with an ADV or better yet, MX boot. I would've been fine. A week and a half now and I still can't walk.
Thanks Frank!
Hello Rob! - Frank
Fox are great... I'm running some MX brand I don't remember that were on sale for $99 bucks at the local bike shop.
Excellent review and comparison👍
Good information Frank. As an older rider im always trying to find a balance of protection and comfort. I dont think I could shift gears in those fox boots.
Nice one video bro

I would never buy Fox boots as everyone I know who has bought any finds that all Fox boots fall apart in less than 1 year of casual use.
Alpinestar has a waterproof Tech 7 Enduro boot.
I have never felt my KTM when it falls onto my feet and knees in 7 years of using only Tech 7 (non-enduro model).
With Tech 7 I am not compromising safety compared to Fox.
Hello Human, I also check with folks I know that are using gear I want before buying it. I have been fortunate with my Fox boots. They are as solid as day one. And as you can see, I do NOT take care of / baby them!
I actually own The Tech 7 Enduro Drystar. Wodnerful boots. Though IMHO, they are not as protective as my Fox MX boots. They are what I wear most often though. Thank you for stopping by and commenting - Frank
