Dr Ellie has all my gratitude for her unwavering dedication to help people with their oral health. I’ve been on the program for about a year now and feel like I know the system inside and out, but I still love to watch all her YT videos. Thanks! 😊
Wish I would have discovered you and your approach 30 years ago. It’s never too late. I am onboard now and will follow your program. I live in Mexico City and can find all the products except Zelle’s on Amazon. Zelle’s are on Amazon but customs rejected the purchase and it was returned to the supplier. I am able to purchase other brands of xylitol products. Your system is expensive if you are living in Mexico but I prefer to keep my remaining teeth and will happily live with the cost. Thank you for sharing this information. I have had dozens of trips to the dentist but was never offered dental care education. It is the first I have ever heard of xylitol and I am 72 years old. Again, I am very grateful to you.
Dr. Ellie, do you have plans to do a full video on children’s teeth and caring for them? I have started using your system the past few days and already love it but would really like to adapt my children’s routine as well. Also did you ever do a video with one of your children on how to properly brush? I looked through your videos and didn’t find it. Thanks again!
I think a lot of folks would like to see a response to Mark Burhenne’s video attack on this system , as we are not dentists and sometimes it’s tough to know what to believe entirely. I have been following Dr. Ellie's system now for about 5 months, I like how my teeth feel, and her system makes a lot of sense, but I sure would like to hear a response to his video. Of course, all the testimonials here made me a believer too.
He had nothing of substance to say. He also admitted that he doesn’t know what Dr Phillips full mouthcare system consists of. She doesn’t have to respond or back up anything with his argument. I’m sure she has more worthwhile things going.
I started the cool mint listerine and the xylitol gums last month, I really hope to see changes overtime cuz Im 31 and I lost 1 tooth and have around 10 capsules... Also I suffered from severe reflux and immunity problems in the past, always ill. I started the cold therapy in may and its changing my life, no more sore throat and herpes in the mouth and on the lip. I an hopeful to get out of all of this so thank you.
Just the listerine is not enough, and it acidic without then using act flouride. Don’t use listeria as a last step without it rinsing or using a flouride mouthwash without it glycerin
@@padmeasmr her program says Closys, then brush with crest cavity protection, followed by listerine and then followed by act flouride mouthwash. The act flouride is ph balanced and restores the ph to a higher acidity than the listerine.
@@DasGoodASMR yeah but I read the book and she also explains the benefits of each one of those and more, the science behind teeth care, so if you are a bit intuitive you can understand how it works in principle, not only combining those products (although it's suggested as the maximum benefit) and I use Xylitol gums after washing for the pH factor and I try to end meals with fruits or cheese. Also Clodis it's too pricey for me sadly. But in any case I already saw results cause I couldn't stand Listerine 2 seconds and now I can keep it in the mouth for ever and no more herpes or bleeding. So something is working! Best wishes for your channel btw ahah
So thankful I happened across Dr. Ellie's videos! What a wealth of information. Started her program maybe 3 months ago or less. Had pieces of had tartar coming off when chewing gum and brushing my teeth. Now the tartar that was on my back bottom teeth is melting off. I am thinking the xylitol gum is repopulating the good bacteria in my saliva and it is doing it job to remove it. Teeth feel stronger too!
I've been using the complete mouth care system since April, and my gums have never looked this healthy. I look at them sometimes and I'm amazed at how they now cover and hug my teeth! My gums were really bad in one place and I can literally see where the healthy gums came back. I can't wait to hit the 6 month mark and see how my mouth is then! Thank you so much for this, my mouth was getting very bad, now I want everyone to look at my beautiful gums 😊😊🙏
My dad was addicted to sugar and I don't think he even owned a toothbrush, much less flossed. He did have a root canal ONCE. He had most of his natural teeth when he died. Go figure. Genetics definitely had something to do to it.
Yes but maybe he also ate alot of cheese or happened to chew gum containing xylitol without even knowing it. maybe he also used listerine and didn't drink alot of acidic drinks....
Keep in mind that what the Doc is offering requires patience; if you do not patience then this video is not for you.. If you have-or can develope the patience- you will see substantial improvement in your teeth.
It's not true. Used her system for four months: increased teeth sensitivity. Her system made my mouth more acidic. Stop listening to her and start testing your oral pH. Her system made my mouth more acidic. Yours may be different
@@alexandertyutyunnik7285with Dr. Ellie Phillips' complete care system I improved tooth sensitivity and reversed two superficial small cavities. I will tell everyone about her system and the benefits of xylitol. It definitely remineralizes the enamel
Has the zellies xylitol gum changed the integrity of ur fillings? Incase you have any because the pulling and adhesive forces of gum pulling ruin filling
Dentists always assumed I'd fed my younger son, with special needs, bad stuff . He's never had a fizzy drink in his life and i never gave him sugary kids sweets. I dont think the milk formula is helpful for babies. It made him vomit, i tried goats formula which was a little better. No one has ever identified his problems and in the UK all they eant to do is extract. Im trying to keep the few teeth he has left, despite the dental professionals saying you zan eat without teeth. What a load of rubbish ive heard over his 25yrs. Unbelievable 😢.
Love it......they sell Zellies at Alive and Well in Lakeway and also at People's...... HEB is going to stock Zellies ( and all the other products you need) next year.....

I JUST got your complete system and I’m very excited! I’m 42 and my gums are receding and it’s very sensitive! I always took care of my teeth but after your videos, I realize that I have done wrong my entire life. My question is before starting the whole system. Should I go to the dentist and get the last cleaning? I haven’t been in a dentist office for at least two years.
Thank you Dr. Ellie for the very good information. I am wondering whether if we can use the cool mint listerine without alcohol, or it has to be the one with alcohol.
The Listerine Cool Mint has to be the one with alcohol. The next step after Listerine, however, is ACT, which rinses the Listerine off the teeth, so you don't have to be concerned about alcohol remaining on your teeth.
A question: I have a permanent wire retainer on the inside of my teeth - can I use your mouthcare system (closys, listerine, crest) or is it going to somehow interfere with the retainer? Dear Dr. Ellie, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! You are amazing :)
She has talked about braces and retainers in other videos. Yes, she still recommends using the Complete Mouth Care System in these situations (you only listed 3 of the products, but it also includes ACT and xylitol). They will not interfere with the retainer.
@@SunrayStar Thank you so much! Can you please tell me which videos you mean? I watched many and yes, she mentions retainers, but I could not find the ones where she talks about using the System while having retainers.
This is kind of long, so I'll try splitting it up. I haven't seen any videos she's made on YT that focused on braces/retainers except for one that advised about the drawbacks to oral health, but she has made several comments here and there in other videos about using the system if you have braces/retainers. However, in articles she has written elsewhere, here are a couple of quotes: "Braces are a risk factor for tooth decay and gum disease, and braces can have devastating outcomes for adults who have poor oral health at the start of treatment. Prevention is so much easier than correcting problems when they have occurred. I suggest anyone considering braces, child or adult, should spend 2-8 months using Zellie’s and the Complete Mouth Care System before braces are fitted, and stick with the System through the treatment. This system is effective even without flossing. Anyone with braces knows flossing around wires and brackets is impossible."
She also wrote: "The physical presence of aligners, brackets, braces, night guards and final retainers can also stress oral health, so it’s important to know the best way to defend your mouth from these potential hazards. I’ve seen patients who developed new cavities and required fillings, root canals, and crowns at the end of treatment. This is why my advice is to ensure your oral health is in tip-top condition before any treatment begins. Removable appliances and aligners are easier to clean than fixed appliances, but all retainers interfere with the flow of liquids in the mouth. This makes it harder for healing saliva to contact tooth surfaces, and easier for retainers and brackets to become traps that increase your risk for cavities, plaque, demineralization scars, and gum disease. My Complete Mouth Care System is your ally: - Xylitol can help limit the formation of plaque (which is particularly important if you have brackets or wires from fixed appliances or retainers). - CloSYS pre-brushing rinse helps control erosive damage and gum disease. - Brushing with the correct toothbrush helps massage gums and keep them healthy. - Crest Cavity Protection paste brings remineralizing to tooth enamel. - A vigorous swish with Listerine can loosen particles more effectively than floss. Do not use Listerine alone; use it after brushing with Crest and before using ACT rinse. - A final rinse with ACT zero alcohol supports tooth enamel to keep it strong and healthy. Zellie’s mints and retainers: - Use the Complete Mouth Care System 10 minutes before replacing your retainer/aligner in your mouth. During this time use one or two Zellie’s xylitol mints. Allow saliva to flow into your mouth, and when the mint has fully dissolved and your mouth feels moist, replace the retainer. Saliva will then be trapped inside the retainer and in contact with teeth. - Use Zellie’s after meals and drinks and use the Complete Mouth Care System twice daily to help avoid oral health problems during treatment and to support the health of teeth after treatment."
I have an implant, I had braces 23 yrs ago, I have a retainer and nighttime mouth guard. Could you make a video about not using my retainer and mouth guard and whether that’s a good idea or not? Have been following your system since May. Thanks so much.
Dr. Ellie, are there any alternatives to the Crest toothpaste and the Act mouthwash that are available in Europe and that you can reccomend? Thank you!
Same question, fluoriguard colgate for England... im in Switzerland and I took Emmodent wild sensitive, for Closys I consider to test Ultradex, theres the chlorine dioxide and the ph is above 7
For those of us that haveve amalgam(mecury) fillings. Do you agree dr ellie that zellies xylitol gums is liberating alot of mecury vapor and ruining the integrity of the filling
Definitely not before your morning coffee, breakfast, or early AM workout (particularly if you need to hydrate). Try to NOT drink or eat anything (Xylitol gum/mints are fine) for at least ONE hour after the Complete Mouthcare System.
Hi, Dr. Ellie, I am from India. Have you heard about Neem (Azadirachta indica)? In old Ayurvedic tradition, using Neem can prevent many gum diseases. Kindly share your point of view on this. Thanks.
Dr. Ellie, I read your book and we are using your system for few months now, so far very happy with the result. I wonder if I can use it for my 7yo too? She keeps getting gum issues like bumps on her gum. She is using Zellie xilytol during the day and before bed. I would appreciate it if you can get back to me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Hi Dr Ellie, I enjoy the Cool Fruit flavor zellies but I noticed that the ingredients list has two acids, malic acid and citric acid, are these flavor of mints acidic and undoing the benefits of xylitol after meals? Should I try to stick to the other flavors instead? Thank you!
Dr. Ellie, would you be able to share what you know about using a Myobrace or overnight mouth aligners that are typically used for natural straightening, better breathing, and posture? I’ve been using your complete mouth care system for 2 weeks now, with remarkable results. My teeth feel stronger, brighter, and healthier every day. I wanted to pair your system with a Myobrace. If you can’t do a video, I would love to hear your quick thoughts on this. I have only a couple slightly crooked front teeth and my mouth alignment is off, so I believe I would benefit from the Myobrace. Thank you for the help you’ve provide so far! ❤❤❤❤
Hi Dr. Ellie. Between xylitol mints vs. gum, are they equally beneficial? I understand chewing gum can produce more saliva, so that's probably helpful, but mints can be a more convenient through the day, so wondering how they compare. Grateful for any advice.
I just got back from my teeth cleaning and my oral hygienist is puzzled as to why so much staining. I listened to your video about staining and tried using xylitol to remove it but it not working. I use closys unflavored ultra sensitive and don’t add anything, crest cavity protection regular, Listerine gold plain or cool mint plain, and act kids bubble gum. Plus plain xylitol crystals nothing added at all. She scraped away. I just wonder if some people’s chemistry just doesn’t like something in one of the products. I see others have said the same as me. I don’t doubt your system and I was hopeful for positive results with gum rescission but I just don’t know what to do about the staining and I don’t see anything else out there to give hope for a healthy mouth.
Having the same problem,3 weeks ago got dental hygiene, lots of tartar and brown stain removed, brush teeth twice, using xylithol , coconut oil pulling and seeing stain comes back... maybe cos im smoker?
I’ve been using the Pur xylitol gum. Just noticed the spearmint flavor is the only one without glycerol. Not sure if I need to stay away from the glycerol? Does Dr Ellie address this ingredient? I am enjoying her zellie mints!
Dr. Phillips, please inform your viewers, subscribers, and patients that Proctor and Gamble has released a new version of Crest Cavity Protection toothpaste that is very similar to the original Crest toothpaste's packaging that you recommend within your " Complete Mouth Care System". The new packaging is almost identical to the original Crest Cavity Protection toothpaste, except for an emblem of a small multicolored/white plus symbol, which also contains the word "Plus" in the middle of it, slightly right of center of the toothpaste box. The new packaging also lists, in the lower-right corner of the packaging, "Cool Mint Gel". When time permits, can you evaluate this new version of Crest toothpaste? Your assessment will be most helpful in preventing your viewers from being duped like I was. Thanks for everything!
Please make video on how to keep filling for longer time so we don't need to fill back our teeths again, most of my teeths are filled now I am worried.
There was a very flawed study paid for by businessmen to discredit xylitol. Dr. Ellie has addressed this issue in articles on her site and also made a video on here on that subject.
I've been following your program for six months now. I went to the dentist yesterday, and the hygienist told me my numbers of 2 and 3 on my teeth. She also says I have bone loss on the bottom front tooth, but it is strong now. Never have I been told this. I was very concerned. I eat well and take care of myself. Any ideas?
Hi Dr Ellie. I have been having a lot of gas pain since ingesting xylitol mints. Is it still good for my teeth if I swish xylitol mixed with water around my teeth and spit it out after I eat meals? Thank you. Lexie
I think so man, it’s still acidic as 😕 but Dr Ellie seems to say it’s more the exposure time than anything so maybe it’s just trying not to sip continuously
Thank you for continuing to provide these videos! I started your program on July 1st of this year. Trying to reverse periodental disease and the subsequent bone loss. Wish me luck 🤞🙂
@@carac2009 I think there’s been a lot of improvement but apparently 6 months in is when the real healing ramps up once you’ve cleaned your oral biome up. Got an oral pathogen test 6 weeks in and am waiting for results of my three month one to confirm if there’s been a reduction in bad bacteria yet. I think it takes six months to get the bacteria under control and the plaque to completely stop building up. But going well so far and I enjoy the routine. Products a bit more expensive in Australia but worth it
@@LisaMatthews-qs7le Thanks so much for responding! Would you let us know about your results when they arrive? @@Pua-s7c I really want to see you in my clinic. Just to show you that you ARE NOT brushing or FLOSSING correctly. But you seem like the type to not listen to advice so I set my expectation low.
Dear Dr Ellie, I've been using your system for about 1 1/2 months now. I feel like my gums are doing better but several of my teeth seem to have developed stains. Do you know what this could be due to?
Dr. Ellie has addressed this staining elsewhere: "Teeth staining: “Good stains” are seen on teeth when dental disease has been rapidly controlled, when the remnants of thick plaque and harmful bacteria die off quickly. The debris collects around the tooth, often looking like a dark stain at the gum line. This stain is the sign of improved oral health, less bleeding, and a healthier mouth and gums. A dental cleaning will quickly remove this kind of staining and leave the healthier teeth pristine and white. "If you do not have a cleaning within a couple of months of starting the complete system, the sudden improvement in your oral health may result in a thin band of stain forming around the edges of your teeth at the gum line. This staining is not a problem, is not permanent, and is not at all unhealthy. This stain is dead plaque debris that has shriveled up and formed a hair-like deposit around the edge of your teeth. One cleaning at the dentist will remove this band of debris. “This staining is a common problem that I have to find a way to address: 1. Are you using the Mouthwatchers brushes that I recommend? You must get away from fear of brushing too hard. It's not true and you will not do damage by brushing - you will get rid of these stains! 2. Do you let your brushes dry for 24 hours between uses? Never soak them in anything or they will get too soft. 3. Are you brushing this area of your mouth where you are seeing the stains? Aim at these areas first, when you have the most toothpaste on your brush, and before you do the gum massage, etc - this is almost always superficial debris that just takes a bit more work to remove. 4. Are you using the system 2x daily? You will get staining if more plaque forms on teeth every 12 hours during the first months - before the oral bacteria have been balanced. In the future you may be able to skip a time or two - but not in the first months. 5. Do you stop eating and drinking completely - not even water - after the xylitol at the end of meals? This allows the new healthy protective biofilm to form, and it is this biofilm that will stop your teeth from accumulation of this debris. You may also want to have a Zellies mint last thing at night before sleeping. 6. This stain is not a health problem - just no one likes a dark stain. But it is superficial debris and will brush off; just use a bit more toothpaste and some more energy on these areas. 7. IF this extra energy and toothpaste trick is NOT ENOUGH to get rid of the stain - then you are going to make a special paste for yourself - Exfoliating paste: Mix together half a teaspoon of granular xylitol with a big squeeze of the Crest Cavity Protection toothpaste. Use this exfoliating toothpaste mixture - aim at the stains first thing every morning (not during the system.…but as you get out of bed in the morning). Just target these stains with this mixture of xylitol crystals + toothpaste. In 3-4 days the staining should have disappeared completely. Then you do not need to keep using this mixture; you can go back to the normal paste as a part of the system.”
There are excellent blogs at Zellies.com about family oral care. I have just make a YT video about this topic - so it should be released later this month.
Are you sure xylatol dosnt feed cavitie? Because im not eating food all day; or water; brushing and xylatol and its just ripped out around the edges of fillings that were fine
@dr.elliephillips can you please recommend an alternative to xylitol gum or mints? I’ve been using your system on myself and it’s amazing. So I also started to use everything but xylitol on my 86-year-old mother who still has some bottom teeth left. She has dementia and she can’t tolerate chewing gum or sucking on a mint as those would be a choking hazard for her.
I've been using the 100% xylitol from amazon or any supermarket. Ellie does say in one of her videos that it's OK as long as it says 100%. Check the ingredients to be sure it's birch bark.
Hi Dr. Ellie , could you please mention if there's a routine that I can follow for my child? Does brushing with a xylitol toothpaste and rinsing with ACT help? My kid currently brushes twice daily and rinses with ACT, but has a lot of plaque development. We do go for regular cleaning but I guess we are missing something. Could you please suggest a simpler kid friendly routine. Thank you
NEVER with xylitol - because it is toxic for animals. There is a product called TEEF which i am told is good....please let me know if you try it. Here is a link from my website: a.co/d/1ZxfOCO
Thank you for your reply Doctor. You’re right. This is the only thing I am not using. I have two brushes, hard ones, and I try to massage with it but maybe the bristles are not adapted. Thank you 🫶🏼
What about someone with already many filled cavities/weak teeth, due to poor nutrition as a child and not being educated about oral health, can this woman be pregnant and her teeth not get worse? A lot of women during pregnancy had problems with teeth, some of them even lost it! What about pH of mouth during night while sleeping?
If you use xylitol every night right before bed, it will help your mouth overnight. But that is not the only time to use it. Regularly using it at the proper times throughout the whole day, every day, can do amazing things to oral health.
I love the info and your channel, but can you PLEASE say "your parents" instead of "your mom"?? I have enough trouble with my children blaming me for everything going wrong in the world, when I have done nothing but keep their health and safety first in mind. I DIDN'T let them eat sugary foods and sweets unless it was a special occasion. P.S. Could you please do a video on wisdom teeth? My daughters dentist is telling her they must be removed prior to braces or invisaligners. She has both of her canines above her other teeth and they need to be moved down. I disagree, and of course, she believes the dentist her in-law doctors recommended. They don't buy into more natural methods, and now she thinks they are the pinacle of all truth. Thank you, Dr. Ellie, for your consideration of these two topics.
Is it okay to use xylitol toothpaste and not rinse afterwards? I just spit out the excess. Ive only done this a few times but is it bad for your health??
My eleven year old went to the dentist last week and they found her canines are impacted. They will refer us to a specialist to move her teeth to the proper location. It looks like oral surgery and braces. Are there any other options? Please help!
I had pain in one of my front teeth. It wasn't unbearable, but it was hurting. A dentist told me that I had a crack in my tooth. My question is, can your system heal that crack? Because I heard that cracks in teeth don't heal.
I follow your complete mouth care routine for a while and got my cavity filled recently but I have swelling in gum on those teeth do ı need a root canal treatment my doctor said wait but I get worse
It can take a while for tooth nerves to settle after having a filling. So wait a few months and see how you feel then. Keep up the system and good habits to give yourself the best chance.

Are you taking the xylitol? Also what have you been eating as well? Diet plays a role in helping gums. Are you deficient in anything like vit D3 or calcium?? Taking breaks, doing unhealthy things, and kissing people with gingivitis can all lead to gum disease issues. I’m new to her system, but what I did to heal my husband’s gum issues is we only use toothpaste that’s mostly made of bentonite clay, wheatgrass powder, and baking soda and clove bud powder. We also gargle with colloidal silver and then gargle probiotic water. It has done wonders for both of us. It’s been almost 10yrs we have been doing this. As I learned more I had to make slight changes, such as stopping the use of peroxide, activated charcoal, and DE. They all were too harsh for continued use. We made mistakes along the way and some things started to work against us but we didn’t blame anyone for it. I kept researching to find better solutions for my family.
PS, a dentist convinced my husband (who was my best friend at the time) to get a partial root canal, which are dangerous. She caused him to develop a large abscess that ended up popping and sending him to the hospital. 4 years later another dentist told him that if he didn’t get half of his jaw teeth removed (the ones near the root canal tooth) his jawbone was going to start deteriorating from periodontal disease. I refused to let her take any of his healthy teeth and give him a bridge. This was back in 2015. We have been using my method for almost 10yrs now and it has worked wonders. I’m just mad that I’m just now learning about the wonders of xylitol. I hope the info I sent in my other msg helps.
Dr Ellie, I hope you will seriously consider developing your own products so we can all give our precious money to you instead of these big faceless companies that couldnt care less. I understand if you might not want to sink your savings into such a project, but if you start a crowdfunding account I'm sure there are plenty of us keen to contribute.
I do agree with this - if we can get something with less fluoride that would be fantastic. Either way love using your program Dr Ellie please keep it up!
I seem to recall Dr said the sodium fluoride is OK. Other ingredients are more toxic though, and I'm allergic to the preservative used in xylitiol so I have to swish it round and spit. Wish I could find a less processed version. Does it really have to look identical to white sugar? And where do all these chemicals end up after we spit them out? In the environment no doubt.
If you mean that peppermint oil, I have heard Dr. Ellie say in another video to throw that flavoring away and do not use it. In that video, she did not say why, but I can tell you that she has commented elsewhere on essential oils, that she believes those should not be used in the mouth because they are usually extremely strong, and so they can irritate and even harm or eventually kill the nerves in the teeth.
@@SunrayStar Thanks, I will definitely throw it away from now on. I noticed today that HEB has an off brand of the act anticavity mouth wash. Hi Dr Ellie, the products you recommend using ar enot readily available in Australia and would be really expensive to purchase from Amazon. What locally available products can I substitute them with? Thanks
Why is pregnant women's salivary ph acidic? Why would our body do this to us? God can't have designed us like this. It sounds like we are set up for failure just because we are women and we can give birth. Why do my teeth need to rot out of my face when I am pregnant? Pregnancy is difficult already as is. "Lost a tooth for every pregnancy" - my poor mother lost like 10 when whe was pregnant with me and then another 10 when she was pregnant with my brother. It sounds so unfair. :( It's great we have xylitol but I can't go back into the past and give xylitol to my mom when she was pregnant. Or to myself when I was sitting at the dentist getting my 6th root canal treatment when I was 20. The damage has already been done. I can do something now which I'm happy about but I can't go back.
It may have to do with your brushing patterns too. You don't want to go back and forth repeatedly on your gum for example, nor you do want to even press the toothbrush against the teeth. Just lightly trying to aim for the gumline and dislodge any food residue is enough.
@@DasGoodASMR Toothbrush is only one of the ways of cleaning teeth. From experience the most sustainable way of keeping teeth clean is by adopting a diet that is devoid of fermentable carbohydrate and other acidic foods (many of which but not all are from animal sources). Finger brushing could be another way of dislodging food residues around the gumline. And then there is also the chewing of xylitol which tackles the biofilm acidity.
I already started with the xylitol and absolutely love it. But I need something to replace the ACT as the last step of the routine. I know it would be better to use the exact same products, but it's not available where I live. Do you think a mouthwash with these ingredients would work out: AQUA | GLYCERIN | XYLITOL | POTASSIUM CITRATE | OLAFLUR | SODIUM FLUORIDE | PROPYLENE GLYCOL | COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE | AROMA | SODIUM SACCHARIN | CITRIC ACID | SODIUM BENZOATE ?
Hi Dr Phillips, in your 1hour step by step video of the total mouth care system you said that Act « Restauring » have dilluted concentration of sodium fluoride compared to « Anticavity » but when I go to the Act website it’s listed as the same concentration: « Sodium fluoride 0.05% (0.02% w/v fluoride ion) ». Unfortunately only « Restauring » is available in France. Also in the comment section you said that Colgate Fluorigard was fine since it also has sodium fluoride and no alcohol. As for the concentration I found 225 ppm F- listed on the label of the product wich convert to 0.05% according to Colgate. So I guess I can go with either Colgate Fluorigard or Act Restauring… What do you recommend between the 2?
Hi Dr Ellie, could you discuss teeth grinding, using a guard that is fitted by a dentist, using a guard that can be bought at a pharmacy, and not using a guard at all? Thanks for any information you can provide.
@@MrMiaumee I agree. However, since this study has been blowing up all over the internet, perhaps a video studying the study might be a good idea. Otherwise, people will just see the headline and think "Xylitol is bad for you" and not do any further research.
Dr. Ellie said down below: "The Cleveland Clinic clearly stated that this had nothing to do with the small doses recommended for oral health. This was a huge dose - given to very sick patients who had been fasting... The dose of 30 grams was like eating 60 mints in two minutes - not relevant. "Not one of their sick study subjects had a CV event - The findings were from drawn blood that showed an increase in platelet activity - that's all. Our bodies make 15 grams of xylitol during metabolism each day - and we find it is quickly metabolized. This is why this was such an odd study...who drinks 30 grams of xylitol ( and it was funded by Private Equity groups).... Thank you for your videos, Dr Phillips. I'm in England and haven't been able to find Act zero alcohol anticavity mouthwash. In the comments section of another video a commenter suggested that Fluorigard could be used as a substitute. Would you recommend this as a substitute?
I should have read the comments section here first where you have addressed this. If I understood correctly, it seems that in Europe it is okay to use Act zero alcohol Restoring as it has the same concentration of ingredients as the Anticavity one.
I started using her method about 7 months ago. I had 5-7mm pockets when I started. Last dentist trip 1-2 mm pockets if at all. I am also regrowing gums. It worked for me.
hey i started the regimen you suggested and been using my zellie gums and i have loss taste on the tip of my tongue i been doing 2x a day before i go to work and when i get home before i go to sleep I like how the regimen makes my mouth feel but I love being able to taste more lol any suggestions ?
Please be aware that excessive consumption of Xylitol may pose health risks. Dr. Ellie advises a daily intake limit of up to 10 grams. This advisory is particularly relevant for individuals who utilize Xylitol as a substitute for regular sugar.
I want to use the xylitol mints but just read xylitol causes blood to clot and can cause heart attacks and strokes. Please comment on this. How much xylitol is too much. Is it better to take use mouthwash with it than to chew mints and swallow?
Hello doctor, thank you for your wonderful content. I have a question. My 9-year-old daughter has white spots on her new teeth. They are not cavities, they are white spots as if we had put white chalk on some parts of her front teeth. I asked her dentist and he couldn't give me an answer. My daughter is worried because her friends at school don't have those spots. THANK YOU for the help 😊
If you can start using my system - and understand how it works...then you can introduce your daughter to it. You may like the personalized instructions on my oral health video bootcamp at drEllie.com My guess is that within 3 months of using my system - these spots will start to fade. If you join the bootcamp and want to send a photo - I can take a look if you want me to.....
My daughter is 6 years old & she is having two SS crowns in her upper back tooth region ( one in the right & another in the left) I would like to give her Zellies xylitol gums rather than mints as my other kid is already using zellies gums. My concern now: is it ok to give these xylitol gums to my daughter with the SScrowns( not sure if the gum would stick & remove the crowns)

Hi Dr. Ellie! Two weeks into following your Complete Mouth Care System, up here in Canada. Had to order “ACT” on Amazon Canada, as well as “CloSys.” There are two available CloSys choices: “Fresh Breath” or “Healthy Teeth.” I chose the latter. “ACT” had two options available: “Restoring” or “Anticavity.” Again, I chose the latter. Please let me know if I chose correctly. It was easy and affordable to source the “Crest Cavity Protection” paste and “Listerine Original” mouthwash. Thank you so much! 🙏
Regarding the ACT mouthwash - you chose well. In the Complete Care videos (Part 4) , Dr Ellie addresses the 2 ACTs - she said NOT to buy the 'Restoring' one - to buy the 'Anti-Cavity' labelled one. So, good on you!
@@jpnovak923 Her system of multiple mouthwashes completely decimates the oral biome. It works for teeth, but there are other consequences. For example there plenty of studies that prove that the use of mouthwash raises blood pressure.
Dr Ellie I recently started your mouth care system after going to the dentist for a cleaning. They found a cavity that is half way through the enamel. Will this be reversed by your system or should I get it filled like they recommended?
Following your system got rid of my plaque, but caused brown stains on my teeth. I have asked you why this is happening on many of your videos but have had no reply, except for other people who also have noticed these stains. I am not trolling you I am just a follower who needs help xx
@@Ariane-qq9co hello, fellow system follower! Dr Ellie posted a video recently about how to address the staining. Just go to this channel's page and click on latest videos... I believe it actually has "tooth stains" in the heading title. Good luck with your progress! :)
She has answered that to many many people about the staining already. Apparently it's an issue that occurs to a tiny percentage of people, and the stains can be cleaned easily during a dental visit. They are basically dead plaques that are no longer active.
Dr. Ellie has given the following information on staining elsewhere: "Teeth staining: “Good stains” are seen on teeth when dental disease has been rapidly controlled, when the remnants of thick plaque and harmful bacteria die off quickly.

I really appreciate this long form information that she is providing for free. She has taken the time to label the sections by topic if you prefer to skip ahead.
Dr Ellie is making several points. It’s good that she carefully explains each point. I inherited these funky teeth from my now dead grandma. Man she really didn't take care of these 😏 but seriously, please respond to the questions that are asked by your viewers in your videos. All the best!😊
Most of these questions people ask in the comments are addressed either at her website or in the plethora of videos on her channel. She already did 99.9% of the work. People need to at least meet her 0.1% of the way and at least TRY and watch her videos or visit her site. Nobody has the time or effort to respond to all of these.
@@XB.DarkKrog are you advocating for the mentally handicapped??? Because as the commenter above me stated, this woman has a crap ton of videos on her channel that will 100x over answer all of these repetitive questions. People don’t want to read to learn and now they don’t want to watch a video to learn 🥴😮💨. That’s on you if your teeth fall out, sorry. All of the information to help you save yourself is on this platform, but y’all just want a quick personalized fix for free. Not happening.
@@DasGoodASMR that's not whats being said in her program though
@@padmeasmr her program says Closys, then brush with crest cavity protection, followed by listerine and then followed by act flouride mouthwash. The act flouride is ph balanced and restores the ph to a higher acidity than the listerine.
@@padmeasmr I just realized we are both asmr channels lol
Thank you so much for this, my mouth was getting very bad, now I want everyone to look at my beautiful gums 😊😊🙏

*Inherited Bad Teeth? You Can Fix Them*
00:00 - 🛡 Dr. Ellie Phillips explains that perceived inherited bad teeth are often due to lifestyle habits, facial structure, and bacterial transfer rather than genetics alone.
00:10 - 🤖 Lifestyle habits learned from family, such as sugary diets, contribute significantly to dental problems, not just genetic factors.
00:41 - 💼 Dr. Phillips emphasizes that with proper strategies, individuals can reverse or halt dental issues, rather than feeling powerless.
01:24 - 🔝 Habits learned from parents, like frequent sugary treats, play a major role in dental health, overshadowing purely genetic causes.
02:47 - 📠 Small changes, such as using xylitol mints, can counteract damage from poor dietary habits and improve oral health.
03:24 - 👾 Childhood oral health significantly impacts future dental health, with early bacterial patterns influencing long-term outcomes.
04:47 - ✅ Genetic factors do influence dental structure, but issues like lip size affecting saliva flow are not solely genetic.
07:00 - 🧪 Women, especially during hormonal changes like pregnancy and menopause, face higher risks of dental issues due to altered mouth acidity.
10:28 - 🦷 Xylitol is highly beneficial for oral health, stimulating saliva flow and reducing harmful bacteria in the mouth.
11:00 - 👶 Pregnant women using xylitol show significant improvement in oral health, leading to healthier bacteria transfer to their babies.
12:12 - 🌟 Research from the 1970s shows that xylitol can greatly reduce cavity rates in children by promoting the transfer of beneficial bacteria from mothers.
Practice her program for six months and then get a cleaning
Thank you so much Doctor🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Dr. Ellie for the very good information. I am wondering whether if we can use the cool mint listerine without alcohol, or it has to be the one with alcohol.
Following
The Listerine Cool Mint has to be the one with alcohol. The next step after Listerine, however, is ACT, which rinses the Listerine off the teeth, so you don't have to be concerned about alcohol remaining on your teeth.
Thank you
A question: I have a permanent wire retainer on the inside of my teeth - can I use your mouthcare system (closys, listerine, crest) or is it going to somehow interfere with the retainer?
However, in articles she has written elsewhere, here are a couple of quotes:
"Braces are a risk factor for tooth decay and gum disease, and braces can have devastating outcomes for adults who have poor oral health at the start of treatment.
She also wrote:
"The physical presence of aligners, brackets, braces, night guards and final retainers can also stress oral health, so it’s important to know the best way to defend your mouth from these potential hazards.
My Complete Mouth Care System is your ally:
- Xylitol can help limit the formation of plaque (which is particularly important if you have brackets or wires from fixed appliances or retainers).
Zellie’s mints and retainers:
- Use the Complete Mouth Care System 10 minutes before replacing your retainer/aligner in your mouth.
@@SunrayStar Thank you so much!!!

Hi doctor, any video of how to get rid of bad breath. Thank you
I’m pretty sure if you start her system and follow the instructions, it will vanish. Trust me.
For those of us that haveve amalgam(mecury) fillings. Do you agree dr ellie that zellies xylitol gums is liberating alot of mecury vapor and ruining the integrity of the filling
Really why you say that?
So, when is the best time to brush your teeth in the morning?
Can you use Xylitol if you have type 2 diabetes?
Trying to reverse my gingivitis along with plaque and tartar wish me the best Ellie 😢❤.
Hi Dr. Ellie. Between xylitol mints vs. gum, are they equally beneficial? I understand chewing gum can produce more saliva, so that's probably helpful, but mints can be a more convenient through the day, so wondering how they compare. Grateful for any advice.
Can the system reverse fluorosis?
Its the listerine. Dead bacteria.
Will i be able to get your complete program from Amazon Uk please.

Hey I'm curious is xylitol safe? I've seen a few things saying it causes heart issues?
There was a very flawed study paid for by businessmen to discredit xylitol. Dr. Ellie has addressed this issue in articles on her site and also made a video on here on that subject.

She also says I have bone loss on the bottom front tooth, but it is strong now. Never have I been told this. I was very concerned. I eat well and take care of myself. Any ideas?
It sounds like you may possibly not be doing one or more aspects of the program correctly? Because that should not happen while on the CMCS.
Is it the chlorine dioxide in Closys that is good for our teeth and also bleach them a little? Don't we kill to much bacteria with it?
Hi Dr Ellie. I have been having a lot of gas pain since ingesting xylitol mints. Is it still good for my teeth if I swish xylitol mixed with water around my teeth and spit it out after I eat meals? Thank you. Lexie
Will coffee be better with no sugar in it is that more healthier? will it still do damage to your teeth even if you ain’t got no sugar in it.

@@Pua-s7c I really want to see you in my clinic. Just to show you that you ARE NOT brushing or FLOSSING correctly.
But you seem like the type to not listen to advice so I set my expectation low.
If you have seen no changes, you may not be using it correctly. Exactly how are you using it, and what kind, how often, how much, etc.?
Dear Dr Ellie, I've been using your system for about 1 1/2 months now. I feel like my gums are doing better but several of my teeth seem to have developed stains. Do you know what this could be due to?
Dr. Ellie has addressed this staining elsewhere:
"Teeth staining: “Good stains” are seen on teeth when dental disease has been rapidly controlled, when the remnants of thick plaque and harmful bacteria die off quickly.
“This staining is a common problem that I have to find a way to address:
How do we use xylitol? How can I give it to my children?

When it comes to Closys is it okay to use the flavoring?
No
@@bluesforcarlsagan Is there something bad in the flavoring?
It's probably that it's a different product, and doesn't contain the right ingredients
Does anyone else find dr. plotka toothbrushes too abrasive on the gums and enamel? Or is it just me
It may have to do with your brushing patterns too. You don't want to go back and forth repeatedly on your gum for example, nor you do want to even press the toothbrush against the teeth. Just lightly trying to aim for the gumline and dislodge any food residue is enough.
@@MrMiaumee but then how do you clean the teeth themselves? Thanks for the advice
You have different products in Europe - I think the restoring is good for you to use.
Hi Dr Ellie, could you discuss teeth grinding, using a guard that is fitted by a dentist, using a guard that can be bought at a pharmacy, and not using a guard at all? Thanks for any information you can provide.
Hello. Any comment on the recent news reports about Xylitol causing an increased risk of heart disease and strokes?
Hint 1: correlation is not causation. Hint 2: In science there's something called the hierarchy of evidence.
@@MrMiaumee I agree. However, since this study has been blowing up all over the internet, perhaps a video studying the study might be a good idea. Otherwise, people will just see the headline and think "Xylitol is bad for you" and not do any further research.

The recent studies on xylitol point it to the dangers of its use. In don't understand how that is ok with you.
Dr. Ellie said down below:
"The Cleveland Clinic clearly stated that this had nothing to do with the small doses recommended for oral health.
"If you look at the health of countries that have used xylitol for oral health for the past 60 ++ years - they have no sign of any problems with increased CV risk. In fact, gum disease is a high risk factor for increased platelet activity.
In this study they never looked at the condition of the subject's gum health."

Xylitol alone get rid of plaque?
No scaling required?
Not quite. It's elimination of acidity + proper consistent cleaning + a lot of time (think months or more).
