Thank you for the summary. She knows what she is talking about, but hearing for the first time, you are trying to visionalize it while she goes in complicated depth. Good info, just new. Again thank you for clarity.
Anyone who doubts that cavities can heal and close up, look at it this way: When you break a bone in your skeletal structure, they can remineralize over time and fill the cracks. A tooth is the same if allowed to remineralize over time. One just has to create an environment where it can do so.
@@susanthepowersellerNobody said not to get a bone set. You set the bone, then the bone heals itself. The point is that like bone, teeth can heal back. No need for filling at all.
@@t.n.-js6ei The mindset needed to make the comment that you made is facinating...wow. I guess there's no point in learning anything new since you know it all already...thank goodness you, as the arbiter of truth, set everyone else straight on the topic lol.
Good stuff. My dad's a dentist, he always said that if you feel a cavity coming on, just stop chewing on that side of your mouth and keep it clean and it will go away. It all works.
@goodolearkygal5746 were you also trying to eat right. Am going to try that in conjuction with the advise given here. I was about to go to the dentist but I know my downfall I all of a sudden started sugary food due to the nature of my work now I will be strict and try at least for three to six months. Unfortunately my two front teeth cracked when I accidentally knocked them and can only do with a filling to stop me cutting my upper lip area.
@gtiggsmusicstudent I don't really eat sugar. In all honesty I think somethings wrong. I went to a dentist and everything was fine. 1yr later I had 17 cavities, my first cavity ever. He accused me of having all kinds of sugar and lying about the dentist that said it was fine. He said things didn't hurt that I was telling him were causing me pain amd he just ignored everything. Good luck
The best mouth rinse is made with cloves NOT oil of cloves but fresh cloves pour boiling water over them and soak for a couple of hours then strain use as a. mouth wash it kills the bacteria that causes tooth decay and reduces sensitivity for sensitive teeth.
Or you could chew on 4 cloves until they’re really chewed up, then swirl them all around your teeth and gums for two minutes and swallow after that. I do this every morning after brushing my teeth. It’s excellent for healthy gums.
@MeowgicalCaticorn Oil of Cloves is far too concentrated, that's why. Oil of Cloves is so concentrated that it is in fact a poison. That's why the Pharmacist will always ask you what you're intending to use it for!
I got a cavity cleaned by the dentist and then instead of getting a root canal as suggested by the dentist, I have stabilised it using a combination of: 1. Minimising added sugar content in my diet 2. Eating 3-4 cloves everyday, 1 after every meal No pain, and no further cavities.
All these dentist butchers know is doing the root canal which, according to some, is the worst you can do for your health. Good job by doing your own healing👍
THANK YOU! Never in my 68 yrs of life have I heard such a thorough explanation of the process of tooth decay and how one's body rebuilds enamel. If everyone was taught this at an early age, there would be better compliance with dentist directives and far less of a need for dental care. We are told bits and pieces that don't really explain anything and then given directives that may actually seem to be bad for one's overall health. Thank you for providing the clear, concise explanation.
Remember, she is English. All of England is wordy while Americans need concise explanation. She is correct but listening makes me nod off and I have to replay the whole thing again. LOL....

Dentists don't want you to know that you can heal-seal your teeth withotu them working and weakening your teeth. bridges are a ridiculous waste of money...harming your good teeth.
Your saying 3 month observation minimum for a cavity filling is so refreshing. My dentist just hired a new second in his practice & this new graduate looked at my x-rays for the first time. I have never had any lasting dental damage of any kind to date. She said in the last 6 months had gone from 0 cavities to 4 & a possible 5th. When she asked me, "So can I schedule you for fillings next week?" I looked her in the eye & said simply No. Having completely ignored nearly every answer I gave to the questions she had asked so far I already didn't want her anywhere near my mouth again I tried to remain calm while telling her why I was not going back in. Only my experience with the primary has kept me going to that office at all. 6 months & new x-rays later I had no cavities to report once again. I share this so that other patients will take the time to advocate for their own health & not just dive into extreme or unjustified procedures. Remember you have a say in your treatment.
I'm having a similar experience. Can I ask what steps you took to reverse your cavities? I'm on a mission to reverse the 4 that have been discovered in the last year.
Same, I have some I ll try to reverse, I will get x-rays every now and then to see the progress and whether this is working, my advice: you need to be convinced you and not just listen to any random confident sounding person@@suruthijesenthiran2123
Your story reminds me of many times wondering if the dentist was just doing because my father had good insurance. I hadn't added it up to that conclusion until now, but the distrust was always there.
I found over the years that it’s common in Dental practice for Dentists not be completely honest with patients and typically encourage for procedures that are not necessary. People put a lot of trust in dentists but many are not aware that there’s a lot dentists that not so honest. Always get a second opinion and trust your instincts.
I’ve reversed internal cavity identified on my x-ray, with my grandmom’s suggestion of daily salt water rinse (actually not a gentle rinse but a gargle & pulling into the cavity of the teeth). I have reversed in about 5 months. Initially, it hurts at site of cavity, but the pain goes away. Occasionally, when I remember I do oil pulling with coconut oil (based on recent studies & by just trusting the medicinal properties of coconut oil).
I’m about 6 months doing your system and my gums are growing back, I really can’t believe how wonderful my teeth feel - God Bless you Dr Ellie you are truly wonderful ❤- I’m 63 and really wish I’d found you 30 years ago
you not worried about mouthwash with ingredients that give u high blood pressure///////.i read ingredients in mouthwash it looks like a detergent to clean toilets and do laundry/cant we just use a natural mouthwash witn no bad ingredients like u find in a vitamin health store////////////////the mouthwash in her system is acidic too///////
Yes, the Listerine is acidic, but it is preceded by fluoride toothpaste, and followed by a fluoride mouthwash. Much different & safer than using Listerine on its own.
I have 3 impacted wisdom teeth and one is very close to a nerve according to what we see on the x-ray and because of finances i cant have them taken out. I literally only chew with one side of my mouth! but hope to have the one that seems to be a serious issue taken out as soon as possible.
I have been brushing with a probiotic toothpaste for 2 years, no fluoride. Dry brush(no water, no rinse). Just clean/rinse brush when done. I haven't seen the dentist in 2 years. I used to have heavy tartar build-up(deep clean every couple years),gum issues, cavities. Since starting the probiotic toothpaste-tartar no longer an issue, gums are healthier than ever with uniform nice pink color and no more cavities. Fresher breath. NO fluoride. I also munch on probiotic breath mints after a meal or before a meeting, etc. This program is so simple and works great for me. I think the human body was initially designed to heal and repair itself. If conditions are right-body is detoxed, well hydrated, natural diet, while fasting or intermittent fasting when digestion is not straining the systems of the body constantly(as most of our diets these days have us eating 2-3 times a day...then snacks)the human body operates as if it were desinged for 1 meal per day(is most efficient in all processes)...then of course good state of mind/mental health. If these things are in order, I think the body can repair, renew, and take care of most natural ailments on its own. I also think a healthy spiritual life is essential in this process for me as well.
Will this help to reverse the cavity and tooth decay. How long will take to reverse the cavity? What is the name of the probiotic toothpaste? can you please....Thanks.
Fluoride is poison. Google "Fluoride rat poison " and look at images. You'll see many images of insecticide and pesticide products with sodium fluoride as the main ingredient. If it kills rats and cockroaches I don't want it anywhere near me
I have followed Dr Ellie's protocol and have almost completely reversed a crack in one of my molars. I could not chew food on that side of my mouth and now I can do so with no trouble. I have also cut out a great deal of sugar in my diet and my gums that were ugly and receded, have grown back. I'm amazed! And grateful and thankful. My teeth and health are so important to me. Thank you Dr Ellie!!
@DiscoveringJesusDaily I really don't know what to say. Mine did and I'm so happy. The lower part of the tooth (possibly roots) were showing in my teeth, and they were light brown and really ugly. That part no longer shows. I'm not sure why the article/posting you read indicated differently, skin and tissue heals itself and that's what I think happened for me. I was honestly contemplating a $10k gum surgery but who has that kind of money? That's how I found Dr. Ellie's channel.
I haven't followed her protocol but I did have painful receding gums at different points that went back to normal. I don't know why they receded or came back though.
@@romancetips365 I will bet its very possible that you started brushing more softly. I used to crank on my gums with my toothbrush and then bought an electric toothbrush. Since I purchased Dr Plotka's super soft toothbrushes, I started to polish my teeth more with gently brushing them instead of trying to use force to clean my teeth.
Other dentist here, she is literally just teaching minimally invasive and preventative dentistry. This is and should be standard procedure for managing incipient caries. Its always good to see another dentist teaching prevention and demineralization.
I've never seen a dentist who has preventative actions to help heal or improve teeth enamel.. or Denton .. Ive had several root canals and have tooth decay which they have said nothing about prevention outside of removal, fillings crown etc . Very frustrating.. I've learned more through Dr. Ellies videos...than any other dentist and I've spent thousands..
If a dentist has ever put a watch on a tooth that is usually them seeing if the caries is growing or not. Sounds like this may have not been clearly communicated for how you can fix that at home because if it progresses too far you still need to fill the hole. @@juliedavis520
For those of you who can’t consume the xylitol mints or gums on the market due to intolerances to the other ingredients besides xylitol (like the mint flavoring, etc), consider using pure xylitol crystals. It tastes like sugar crystals. I asked Dr Ellie about this and she advised to use the crystals straight into the mouth (no water). I bought one that has just pure birch xylitol crystals, with no flow agents added, and made several containers of it with sealed lids, and a spoon inside. I put them throughout the house so I always have xylitol close at hand. I pour some into my mouth, without touching the spoon with my mouth at all, over a sink to catch any crystals that fall, and melt it in my mouth while moving it around to coat my entire mouth. I do this for about 1-2 minutes, and then spit out the excess. Xylitol is supposedly good for strong bones as it leads to increased calcium absorption, increased bone volume, and increased bone mineral content. It can cause digestive upset so find the amount you can tolerate. And always keep it away from dogs as it is lethal/deadly to them. 😊 (Brand: Morning Pep) Edit: I’m a mouth breather during sleep so I use xylitol crystals right before bed, after medications/supplements and brushing, and don’t drink more water. During the night I may drink water if I’m really thirsty but usually I wait until morning so I don’t disturb my mouth. I now wake in the morning to teeth that feel clean.
@@nonyabusiness3619 I haven’t been using it very long, about 2.5 months. I used to get a rough film on my teeth within a few hours of brushing, and evening brushing would remove almost all of it but some would stay until I went at it with an electric brush. I don’t get that rough film, ever, anymore. My teeth feel very clean. And my extreme sensitivity has mostly disappeared except every so often it shows up mildly. At the same time, I switched from fluoride toothpaste to one of the nano-hydroxyapatite toothpastes.
You’re an amazing doctor, a healer. When I was about 19 I had a “dentist” give me 14 fillings and then move to a different country. I’m pretty sure she made me her cash cow, and I feel heartbroken that someone would drill into bits of me just to pad their wallet.
I had the same problem with my dentist so many feelings 😢 back in my country. Coming to the United States it gotten worse with bad root carnal which led to tooth loss..
That happened to me when I was 20yrs old---I thought my teeth were fine, & this dentist told me that all my back teeth were starting to rot & continued to start procedures to fill them all in--- I'm now convinced that they didn't need any fillings at all & it was done for financial gain 😢
No it mean the dentist 🦷 don’t make money 💰 and they don’t like that …think about it back in the day non of all this medical stuff was a thing and we had less medical illnesses ect
My Grandpa was made to brush his teeth since he was a child with baking soda. Never once saw a dentist in his life and never once had an issue with his teeth. Had them all in good condition, no cavities, etc his whole life. He was 89 when he passed. RIP Grandpa.
I brush my teeth with baking soda and I saw my dentist today for the first time in 6 years and I have a tiny little cavity. I figured I'd have a dozen and she said my gums look great. Everything looks good and I'm 53. I use peroxide to rinse occasionally. Not everyday, just once in a while and I make sure to put a big healthy dose of baking soda in my mouth and brush around a little bit and then I get my floss and that's when I floss. My teeth is when the baking soda is in my mouth. That way the grit from the baking soda helps remove the tartar buildup between the teeth. I also use my shower head and put it on the high pulse setting 🚿and spray my teeth and swoosh and swish and swish while being waterboarded😂 I also shoot🚿 it down my throat while gargling to help get rid of any tonsil stones and clean the back of my throat as far as I can go😂 It sounds lovely😂 if you could only hear me while I take it a shower😂
when I was a kid Mom told us kids we could either brush with flouride toothpaste or baking soda. I chose baking soda cos I liked the salty taste. Everyone else chose toothpaste. Guess which one of us kids got 3-4 cavities every dentist visit? MEEEEE. Baking soda is NOT the answer.
@@jennyanimal9046 Baking soda can be useful for some people - generally young men or women with alkaline saliva. For others - it strips away the natural protective biofilm and can leave your teeth vulnerable to cavity-forming bacteria. We need to change our mindset about what CAUSES cavities & what protects you from them. Ultimately it’s not actually the toothpaste choice - it’s YOUR mouth chemistry & using a paste that works for YOU. 🦷😁

Recently had amalgam fillings fall out and I can see and feel those particular teeth healing. I believe she speaks truth. These fillings were put in when I was 11 and 4 decades later they’re all gone and those teeth are doing great now.
@@babandeepbrar1195 I haven’t seen a dentist about it but there was a big hole in the middle of one molar that I could see and feel with my tongue which over the last couple of years got smaller. There’s no pain there anymore. The pain associated with that tooth subsided drastically after this filling fell out or at least that’s what it looked like to me. It was black and hard like a small stone. During the pain with it I used mouth wash very frequently and brushed my teeth more often than 2 times a day.
1) limit sugar 2) stop acidic damage by using your own Silva 3) only use the dilute fluoride she recommends and xylitol 4) no snacking to give mouth time for Silvia time to re-mineralize enamel - give mouth hours with no food to reverse decay
I started using your method in July just before I coincidentally broke a tooth. after the repair of my tooth I continued with the rinses and recommended practices and delayed my dental cleaning for as long as I could. I wish I could see dental X-rays of before and after with your cavity reversing. I’ve worked in dental for over 20 years and one product that seems to stop bacteria growth and hardens dentin is Sliver Diamine Fluoride. Con’s: it stains the teeth black on the cavity lesion. We know sugar is bad but don’t forget carbs break down into simple sugars in our mouth too! -ie crackers and bread! Yes fluoride bonds and strengthens enamel also MI Paste is a good product if you aren’t allergic to dairy. It’s calcium and phosphate based and fluoride free. I recommend MI Paste for the fluoride free people. Xylitol is good because oral bacteria can’t use it as a food source. Yes, chew a xylitol mint or gum after snacking.

Actually your teeth ties into vital organs.(Chinese tooth organ chart). It is tied to stress/trauma and is ‘feeling bad about yourself’ in relation to whichever organ that tooth ties into. Holes appear during stress. When the stress is over the tooth starts to fix itself… THAT is when you feel the pain.

How I am slowly fixing my teeth: I used to eat a lot of candy when I was little with no regard for my teeth, and as an adult I have yellow teeth and some minor cavities. 18-24 hour fasting daily not only helps with my Ulcerative Colitis, but it also helps my teeth not get exposed to sugar and acids all the time. I brush my teeth 3 times daily. When I wake up in the morning I brush my teeth. After my first meal I brush my teeth and rinse my teeth. And finally before bed I floss, brush and rinse. I pretty much only drink water because I love water, but when I once in a rare while drink a soda I use a straw. I don’t have pain anymore and while my teeth still have a bit of yellow hue, it looks much better than before, and hopefully it only gets better.
I also developed UC and when I was at the bleeding stage, around 1.5g of magic mushrooms in a ceremony (safe) setting with a trusted guide helped me heal that up, and stopped the bleeding... Unfortunately a lot of stress a year later brought it back again, now with no access to ceremony setting I've been microdosing on my own and also healed up to stop the bleeding, still more healing to do but the worst is over it seems. Maybe this info helps someone else in need...
Brushing right after a meal will ERODE your enamel as your saliva is breaking down food also softens the tooth enamel in the process. You need to wait at least a couple of hours before you start raking up that softened surface.

I have 6 cavities previously and jus us coconut oil as mouthwash (just around ½tbsp will be enough, also can put other spices like clove cumin cinnamon for more healing properties), after around 3 months I go to dentist for free check up and none remains. all my teeth have cavities from my childhood. over 40yrs ago, i started brushing with baking soda before bed. i have had no cavities since. in fact, two of my crowns have broken, over 20yrs ago, and my teeth are exposed and still have no cavities. of course, around the same time i changed my diet as well. while i eat a lot of fruits which are full of natural sugars, i have not had any processed food, including sugar, for most of that time. you can reverse cavities, as you say, by stopping the acid and baking soda does the job cheaply, easily, and effectively.
@@zrymill the crown was first cracked, then i lost a chunk from one side. the entire thing finally came off more recently. i have not noticed any growth but i chew on it just fine. it would be interesting if it grows in the next year or so but i am not expecting it. i wish i was a shark 🙂

I haven't heard anyone mention oil pulling. I used oil pulling for years to keep away cavities and strengthen my teeth... especially after having a horrible experience with a dentist who was trying to extract one of my molars. For oil pulling, you put about 2 tbl spoons of olive oil or castor oit in your mouth and swish it around your mouth through your teeth until the oil becomes like water. Hi, I am a medical doctor and dentist.msc orthodontics from the Netherlands and new here. 99% of my colleagues will not listening to your findings, but a lot of what you are saying make a lot of sense to me. The secret is in the saliva. One time I had a child with 100% amylogenesis imperfecta, zero tooth enamel, and no tooth decay at all! Explain that. Of course mouth breating is nog good for the saliva and the tongue position ( collapsing maxilla). And chewing gum is good for the musclus. Good musclus is good bone. Poor people that uses botox, and bad medical doctors and dentists, not knowing what they are really doing. We in the Netherlands drink milk, but the best milk is raw, a lot of Vit K. ( Westron Price is right). I would sure like to try your products in my practice! 😀👍
I have been trying to implement Dr.Weston Prices diet for over a decade. I have had some success, but some years I don't get so lucky and end up with Caries.
I have serious acid reflux my whole life. Got even worse the last 5 years when I got pregnant with my boys. I went to the dentist after not seeing them for years I didn't have coverage or the money to pay for the visit. But I finally saved up enough. And turned out I had cavities in every single tooth except a few. :( I really need help. I got 4 fillings so hard and I'm afraid to go back because the cavity is that deep that it hit the nerve but I qasmt having any pain until after I got it filled. Now I can't eat. Hurts so bad and there is nothing he can do he says. My teeth are that bad the dentist said "we are reselecting my teeth from the grave" my gums are badly infected too. So will this still be able to help me ??? Also my medication I take to controly acid reflux and gastritis problems isn't working clearly but there is nothing else the doctor can give me. Om waiting to go for a scope because all my skin ony stomach and up into myouth is burnt badly Please help. Me
First, why do you have reflux? Check a orthomolecular therapist and your diet. nd about the gum and teeht, give it a try...you have nothing to loose. @@NancyStapleton-i1o
I chewed xylitol gum for around 6 months and it weakened my teeth to a point where one tooth split in half and didn't stop cavities. The best thing I did that stopped cavities was using a 1 percent solution of hydrogen peroxide as a mouth wash.
Of course! Xylitol is alcohol sugars. Just like menthol and anti freeze. You can use iodine as well with your hydrogen peroxide cleaning routine. This doctor can dress like a hippie and light candles all she wants. She is just a mask for the pharmaceutical industry that's pushing their version of "do it naturaly" with xylitol and "watered down" fluoride! 🤪👍
You shouldn't have been chewing gum. It's already said that you should reduce chewing on the side that was already showing signs of damage... Of course chewing with damaged teeth will eventually split in half.

I appreciate your kind remarks. I have been teaching this concept of dental care and my solution for prevention - for over 50 years. Without the Internet it was usually to small groups inside and outside my dental practice: in libraries, independent pharmacies, business groups etc. I also have an oral health video bootcamp on my website that is perhaps more organized and therefore more strategic if you have any immediate dental problems. Thank you again for your interest -Ellie: DrEllie.com
1. Limit sugar 2. Stop infection, increase minerals with saliva, use xilitol 3. Sodium fluoride toothpaste and rinse (.05% 2-3x/day) 4. Not eating or drinking between meals If deeper in dentin.... 1. Use her system
Fascinating!! Beautiful lecture thank you! This may explain why people on carnivory diet report gum disease going away and teeth health improving leaving dentists suprised, because there is no sugar, just red meat and water, no snacking so teeth have time and saliva can work! Makes sense to me!
Thank you. I am on a low carb diet with intermittent fasting (not in ketosis though). If in the night I get a sour mouth, I clean my teeth and take care in the following days to remove all sugar from my diet. I use a sharp-pointed pair of tweezers to scrape tartar from between my teeth. I replace my toothbrush with a new one every 3 months as older toothbrushes become inefficient. But I do not brush more than once a day, sometimes not even once. The result is a naturally clean mouth, no gingivitis, no tartar, no dental problems. For toothpastes I use three types: Baking soda : Flouridated Sensodyne: or dog tooth gel Beaphar. Usually I use the baking soda type. Sometimes to get a more comfortable mouth I use the Flouridated type. If I get any buildup of Tartar I use the dog toothpaste using the enzymes it contains to break up the tartar. Ususual regime you might think, but the dentist when he did a once in 3 years check saw a clean and healthy mouth, and he asked me what I was doing to get such a healthy mouth.
I found your channel because a small hole in my tooth got a little bigger and I started frantically searching online to see if I could do anything to reverse it before it gets worse. Started using your system just yesterday so we will see what happens but I'm grateful that there is hope for my tooth 🙏
Thank you so much for all this knowledge. I wished someone had told me that in my early 20s at least. I'm almost 30 and for such a long time I've been feeling like no matter what I do, the decay will never stop. This gives me hope and I just ordered everything you mentioned. 💪🏻
I have multiple filled in cavities. Dentists are generally surprised when they see them. It happened when I stopped eating grains completely and totally due to developing celiac disease. The hole fills in with a clear enamel so you can still see where the holes were but they are solidly filled level with the rest of the tooth. I'm over 50 and the only two fillings I have I had when I was 14. But there's many filled in holes, the holes mostly developed when I was vegan and eating a lot of fruit. (and the grains)
@@elisasmith1609 Eat raw milk, raw butter, raw kefir, cod liver oil, bone broth and brush your teeth with xylitol, sip green tea throughout the day and don't be a vegan.
@@elisasmith1609 Just normal food without grains filled them in. It's the phytic acid in grains which ruins teeth. Look that up. These days I eat a keto diet so no sugar and no grains, I like to eat a lot of low carb tubers meat and cheese. But the teeth Remineralisation all happened just... without grains, I really didn't eat anything special or take any supplements.. I simply stopped eating grains completely, totally removed them from my diet for eight years, that's how long it took to heal my gut from celiac disease.
@@elisasmith1609 The biggest hole was on one of my upper canine teeth (the other canine had a less bad version of the same hole), it was a couple mm diameter circle wide and deep. It's easily visible still because where the hole was is "clear" rather than white like the rest of the tooth. It's a big mark and on the front of the tooth so you can see it when I smile.. but it's filled in and perfect, has been filled in for.. I dunno at least 15 years. No problem.
Fluoride in toothpaste is waste from the aluminum industry and is highly toxic and is not the same as sodium flouride. The aluminum industry had to pay to get rid of the highly toxic fluoride waste but then convinced the ADA to add it to water, toothpastes and rinses and charge for it.
Considering Fluoride in any form is slightly less toxic than Arsenic and everyone knows the cumulative effects of that. From my research it's the lack of adequate Vit D in the American diet and the acids de-mineralizing the teeth is the biggest issues..... Studies have show by simply adding Vit D that teeth can stop damage and even heal if bad habits like soft drinks and such are stopped
Dental pains are among the worst sorts, you will have very little sense to do what you have to do. Tooth pain is silent and you only use sign language as it is happening. Your useful video is life saving. Keep it always updated. Thank always.
I looked up how to make homemade toothpaste years ago and searched “what did people use before toothpaste was invented” and came across 2 dentist pages advising using a BAR OF SOAP, no chemicals added or scents, which IVORY soap is the best, I didn’t like the idea but decided to try it for 2 weeks only. After the 1st use, I was sold! It took off all the plaque! My teeth whitened as i continued to use and raised my kids on it. When my children were using toothpaste as babies and toddlers, they had a mouth full of cavities! When we switched to ivory soap….literally no cavities, same for me. So that’s my recommendation but not something I tell my neighbors or friends lol. I don’t want to gross them out. I’ve saved so much money not buying toothpaste.
I mix up bentonite clay, activated charcoal, baking soda and xylitol with a few drops of various essential oils. My mouth has never felt cleaner. Using regular toothpaste is a scam.
Thank you so much Dr. Ellie! I have been trying your system for about a month now and my teeth feel better than ever. Having very thin enamel since childhood I asked at least 8 dentists and 20 hygienists over the years if there is any way to rebuild enamel and was always told no. Now my teeth feel stronger and smoother and less sensitive. Even though getting some of these products in Canada is difficult and expensive I'll continue using them (Closys and ACT). My only regret is not having known about this 20 or 30 years ago - could have prevented some of my fillings. But now, thanks to you, I know.
I agree. The recommended products are expensive or tough to get in Canada. Even the Xylitol gum and the toothbrushes I had to substitute because the prices to import them are insane. I get an enormous amount of plaque on my bottom front teeth and in just over 2 weeks, it's all gone! I had cancelled my dental cleaning just before I started Dr. Ellie's protocol and was told the earliest appointment I could get was in March. I was really worried about waiting more than 3 months for the appointment, but now I'm thinking I'll probably not need that appointment at all! My teeth are so smooth and when I flossed to remove a food particle, the floss didn't snag or catch on anything rough so even in between my teeth there's no plaque. I'm hoping my gums will now grow back.
Yeah, Closys, ACT, and the Xylitol are expensive to get here in Sweden too, but probably worth the investment in the long haul. Had a couple of dental crowns put in and it cost me about $2000. I have good hopes this system will save me from future costs.
ACT is 500% more expensive in Canada than in the US. I did some looking around and found a possible substitute. Opti-Rinse 0.05% is almost identical to Act however it is better in some areas. Opti-Rinse uses Xylitol instead of sorbitol found in ACT and we know xylitol is much, much better than sorbitol as a sweetener. The only possible downside is that it uses glycerine which I know Dr Ellie isn't fond of, but I looked and from what I've found, the issue with glycerine was mostly debunked (it's water soluble so it washes away, S Mutans can't "digest" it, and there was only 1 researcher who found issues with it and his research on the subject had many errors) ACT is $30 in Canada. Opti-Rinse is $12... plus it's Canadian made. It has the same level of flouride, the same anti-bacterial ingredient.

I've started using your system for about 2 weeks now and notice the difference in how my teeth look and feel. They actually look whiter and feel incredibly clean. I actually like your protocol, it's different and kind of fun . Thank you so much for sharing this important information 🙏💕

I saw a video on UA-cam from a dentist who claims that using any mouthwash destroys the good bacteria on the tounge which triggers the body to make nitric oxide every time you swallow or saliva. Which then drives up blood pressure and all kinds of other horrors. He did say no fluoride too. Fyi
@@Riley_Luke_Wilderyou dont really have good bacteria in your mouth though and your own saliva also just kills the majority of bacteria in your mouth regardless its why you're breath smells bad after waking up because your mouth isnt spread the saliva all over itself and bacteria tends to form in the places it didnt reach

Hi I am a 29 yr old Indian female. I probably came across this video a bit late , but thankyou so much for making this video and sharing life saving advice. You mentioned at the end that you give your patients atleast three months time to see whether their teeth have recovered naturally before proceeding with other procedures and unless it is an emergency. Now I have been suffering with cavities since a very young age and not one doctor has told me that I can reverse cavities naturally. I've been quite frustrated frankly and stopped going to the dentist for a long time but that dint stop my cavities. Recently an year ago I had to visit the dentist again as my canine had developed cavities which reached very close to the pulp so I was told that I either need to fill it or go for root canal. I haven't gotten it treated yet and it's been more than an year . The tooth doesn't ache and I haven't done anything more than brush twice a day. So I'm not sure whether my case is an emergency . Is it ? And if not how can I reverse the damage naturally by eating what food or supplements ? Again thankyou so much for sharing this. I had lost all hope of saving my teeth until now.
Eat green leavy vegetables, best very fresh/raw or only in the pan for some seconds. and secure Vitamin D3 suppöy by sunlight or supplement if not possible.
5:30 What I've used to heal the holes in my teeth: 8 drops myrrh, 9 drops frankincense, 1 drop juniper oil. Put in a 3ml jar and multiple times a day put finger over the top, shake, and put that on the hole. Especially before going to bed. (Been using a dentist tool to get into a current corner spot. And the sealing over with rest from shaking the jar. Try to let it all dry for a few minutes.) Only use 100% pure oils NOT chemically extracted. Don't even mix it with carrier oil, because want it to dry and form a temporary seal over the damage. It does take a few months. And myrrh definitely lives up to it's name. But last time I went to the dentist they insisted the last one who marked cavities made a mistake. Looking forward to surprise them in few months 😄 Also a note: know problem came from diet as have been going through an incredibly difficult time with family and it couldn't be helped. 😒
Ty where do u get juniper oil? Dentist been watching my back molar that's got a cavity...been almost 2 yrs and she said something about redoing crown, root canal. I said No. IF it gets bad I'll Have it Pulled!!! I would cratger try your regimen! I have the other 2 good oils!

One thing I want to clarify here, is towards the end you talk about asking the dentist for more time before they fill in a cavity or whatever, you don't ask your dentist for more time. If you don't want to fill a cavity you don't fill the cavity
Yes you do. You will get the "no" answer from your dentist if you ask "Can My Cavity Reverse?" or "Can I Avoid a Filling" - they will say you need a filling because it is all they have ever seen and most do not believe in repair. If you ask for time - most dentists will give you a time line - maybe say you can wait for 3-6 months. Use this time - jump on my system and it is possible in this short time you can reverse the cavity. If you do not completely reverse it - you may ask for more time - and try another 3-6 months. Until we use equipment to measure teeth healing - DDS in the US will not believe you can heal a cavity. If you go to this page - you will see some European studies - scroll down the first page and look at the images to show a tooth healing - under special QLF light technology: www.dentalcare.com/en-us/ce-courses/ce73/quantitative-light-induced-fluorescence-qlf
@@jcismyall Yes - and I agree that this works both ways. The biggest problem is that most patients believe a filling ends the decay - and they don't need to participate beyond getting a filling. This is why so many "recurrent caries" problems occur seven years later. It's the same disease in the same mouth. I think patients need more help to learn how this disease requires attention - otherwise it will damage other teeth or around the edges of fillings.
@@dr.elliephillipsexcept the web page you referenced is NOT a published, peer reviewed study. It spends more time talking about the examination process than defining what level of remineralization occurs. There is a distinct difference between remineralization of a THIN spot and an actual cavity. You are not being honest here. Also, several actual studies show that just chewing xylitol gum seems to be sufficient to reduce dental Carries. Where is YOUR peer reviewed study of your process. This sounds like a “trust me bro”
He has a point. No dentist is able to tie you down and fill activity without your permission. You don't need to ask a dentist for anything. You can say no. You can state emphatically that you need more time and get up and leave.
As per NIH , xylitol, like erythritol, could have long-term cardiovascular health risks. Both xylitol and erythritol were associated with increase blood clot formation. This, in turn, could increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.
Thanks.I may be late to come across of your humble advice because i am in early seventy years and got all the problems you mentioned.Good for the present generation.Dear Dr. You are blessed🙏
I've been using dental products with xylitol for several years. A mouthwash with xylitol that I was using stopped adding it once, and I started having tooth problems shortly afterwards. Oil pulling is also very good for tooth problems.
Very good video.....I learned about Xylitol after reading a study that found it keeps bacteria out of your sinuses.......use Xlear Nasal spray with Xylitol whenever my sinus act up, and Lozenges for dry mouth with Xylitol daily before going to bed. 2 fillings fell out in the past year, I have no Dentist and unable to find one for about 4 years. After starting these routines daily for the past year, I have not had a cold, and the teeth that lost the fillings are fine now.
Believe it or not, I have done this. I was around 18 years old when a large cavity formed between my left molars, almost destroyed one. It was so painful and bleeding. In one painful session I filled that gap with regular Colgate paste. I was hoping the coolness of the paste may reduce my pain, and it worked. I had to refill the cavity with paste again when it was gone. After a week or so, my pain and blackness was completely gone. So I stopped filling with paste and that gap eventually got filled. I am 43 now my teeth are still healthy. I told this to many people - including my wife when she had a cavity and decided to get it done by a dentist - no one believed me. I am happy to hear this in this video now.
Mind blowing. I am 58 and just learning this. All through gradeschool, junior high, high school and college I was never once told this very essential info.
Some insights from the point of Chinese medicine about the importance of saliva In Chinese medicine, saliva is considered an important bodily fluid. Traditional Chinese Medicine views saliva as a reflection of the state of various organs and meridians in the body. In addition to its role in digestion, saliva is also associated with oral health in Chinese medicine. The condition of the tongue and the amount of saliva can provide clues about the state of the stomach, spleen, and other organs. There are some tricks to produce more saliva according to Chinese medicine - intentionally swallowing saliva throughout the day. The idea is to keep the mouth moist and promote a continuous flow of saliva. This practice is thought to have a positive impact on digestive health. Mouth and Tongue Exercises: Certain tongue and mouth exercises are believed to stimulate saliva production. One such exercise involves moving the tongue around the mouth in circular motions and then swallowing.
Ah, the seductive world of saliva stimulation - an unexpected turn, but hey, whatever floats your boat! 😂 Just trying to keep our mouths happy and healthy, you know? Saliva production is all about that good oral hygiene! Stay classy, saliva enthusiasts!@@shyguymercedesbenz5845
Simply put dental caries can be reversed to an extent or potentially fully before a cavity is formed using proper methods. Great info clearly explained.
I started your system July 10 this year - my teeth were starting to be sensitive but that went away quickly. - my big issue is my gums but every dentist visit has improvement!
Maybe ensure that you are using the correct kinds of toothbrush that I recommend and using them to do gum massage. Any periodontal problems will normally be resolved within 12 to 24 weeks. I have a lot more details on my Oral health video bootcamp at DrEllie.com.
Dentist with 35 years experience here. Yes very small cavities can be remineralized using these techniques. But caution if you have a small sticky pit I would commonly find massive decay deep into dentin that needed to be removed. These areas are too deep to remineralize. If you wait too long to see a dentist and you are having pain it can be too late because the bacteria have penetrated into the nerve. At this point it is irreversible damage that can only be treated by root canal treatment or extraction. So don’t be afraid to see your dentist to conservatively get rid of decay before it’s too late. These techniques will help prevent future cavities so that is good.
The difference between what I recommend, and what most dentists recommend, is that I suggest the consistent use of adequate Xylitol alongside an effective mineralization program. I know exactly what you mean about occlusal pits with caries underneath - but when patients use my specific system, it is able to completely seal the outer enamel and consequently allow the internal mineralization to occur at deeper levels. To drill a young tooth in my opinion is a travesty and well worth 3 to 6 months of observation as motivated patients use my specific mouth care system. DrEllie.com
I definitely want go see a dentist for a teeth cleaning. I recently just turn 21 and I have a two chips in my tooth. Anyone who doubts that cavities can heal and close up, look at it this way: When you break a bone in your skeletal structure, they can remineralize over time and fill the cracks. A tooth is the same if allowed to remineralize over time. One just has to create an environment where it can do so.
Good explanation.
Seriously////who wouldn't get their bone set? Why not get your tooth filled. Avoid a root canal and lots of money. Get a filling for crying out loud

The best mouth rinse is made with cloves NOT oil of cloves but fresh cloves pour boiling water over them and soak for a couple of hours then strain use as a. mouth wash it kills the bacteria that causes tooth decay and reduces sensitivity for sensitive teeth.
Cloves had been used for tooth ache years ago so rinsing your mouth with clove tea, boiled in water & swished makes Good sense.
Why not the oil of cloves?
Or you could chew on 4 cloves until they’re really chewed up, then swirl them all around your teeth and gums for two minutes and swallow after that. I do this every morning after brushing my teeth. It’s excellent for healthy gums.

We are told bits and pieces that don't really explain anything and then given directives that may actually seem to be bad for one's overall health. Thank you for providing the clear, concise explanation.

Thank you so much
I'm having a similar experience.

I have also cut out a great deal of sugar in my diet and my gums that were ugly and receded, have grown back. I'm amazed! And grateful and thankful. My teeth and health are so important to me. Wow
Other dentist here, she is literally just teaching minimally invasive and preventative dentistry. This is and should be standard procedure for managing incipient caries. Its always good to see another dentist teaching prevention and demineralization.

😊 (Brand: Morning Pep)
Edit: I’m a mouth breather during sleep so I use xylitol crystals right before bed, after medications/supplements and brushing, and don’t drink more water. During the night I may drink water if I’m really thirsty but usually I wait until morning so I don’t disturb my mouth. I now wake in the morning to teeth that feel clean.
How long have you been using it and what are your results?
Won't Food grade diatomaceous earth do all the same thing you just mentioned. I wonder if adding any D.E. with the xylitol crystals will help too.
Just use as mouth wash. Swallow and it gives you the sh1ts

@@nonyabusiness3619 I haven’t been using it very long, about 2.5 months. I don’t get that rough film, ever, anymore. My teeth feel very clean. And my extreme sensitivity has mostly disappeared except every so often it shows up mildly. At the same time, I switched from fluoride toothpaste to one of the nano-hydroxyapatite toothpastes.

How I am slowly fixing my teeth:
I used to eat a lot of candy when I was little with no regard for my teeth, and as an adult I have yellow teeth and some minor cavities.

@@zrymill the crown was first cracked, then i lost a chunk from one side. the entire thing finally came off more recently. i have not noticed any growth but i chew on it just fine. it would be interesting if it grows in the next year or so but i am not expecting it. i wish i was a shark 🙂
@@zrymill hmm, very interesting. i hope it is not the diet because there is no way i am going back to that diet 🙂 if it is exercise and sun, i am your guy. from dawn to noon i am working in my food forest and get plenty of both. i also heat with wood and cut all my own wood. i also split wood with an axe. then there is all the building and stuff so i am rarely not moving. i am, however, and old fart so that may be against me. i do not give much of an ear to dentists (even though there are several in my family). they told me my receding gums were caused by brushing too hard and cavities do not go away by themselves. they also told me you cannot restore receding gums but only keep it from getting worst. i have proven all these to be false. they also told me if i brush with baking soda, i will damage the enamel. i have been brushing with baking soda since the late 70's. i have much improved my receding gums. the last time i went to a dentist when i was still in the af, i had to go and they insisted on fixing my cracked cap which cracked again within the year, then a section broke off, then after 15yrs or so, the rest broke off in chunks over 2 weeks. no problem with me teeth other than that. i personally do not think you need dentists if you eat well and brush your teeth with baking soda before bed.
Thanks for the heads up.
I brush my teeth with baking soda and I think if we all did there would be less business for the dentist. Maybe then, they would consider lowering their prices.
@@kitchen_mitten3beware717 their prices are irrelevant as their services are not needed. i am not missing my cap at all. i am chewing with the base of the tooth just fine and have had no problems. it was weird having a gap there for a while but now i am used to it and do not even notice it. even if we actually got our country in a right way so everyone had free healthcare, i would not be using that service. in my active life i have had wounds needing stitches and i stitched them myself with my beard hair cleaned in vinegar and baking soda. no problems. i fell cracked my head with heavy bleeding, used a few herbs from my food forest, cleaned it with baking soda, no problem. i even seriously stressed my heart taking a tree down on thanksgiving. it was really cold and i thought the feeling in my chest was the cold air. but when i came in i realized i had over done it. again, some herbs, rest, and slow buildup of physical activity allowed me to put in a new section to my food forest the following summer. when you clean up your diet and life, you become more sensitive to your surroundings and your body. no one knows how to take care of you better than yourself, IF, you educate yourself and listen to your senses. one day my body will give out and i hope i am in the garden so i can become compost and join the circle of life again 🙂
I once was lost, but now I'm found.. Thanks doc.
My teeth were starting to become loose, I then started gargling with Himalayan salt in warm water, my teeth are now moving much much less.. I will try your process too and am convinced in combination, my teeth will be like new... thank you

I chipped my front tooth as a pre-teen. Years later my tooth repaired itself, i never knew how or why it happened, I was just glad I didn’t have to live with that chipped tooth. My parents would not take me to a dentist.
Thankyou, I am dealing with my first ever cavity as an adult with no dental insurance! I have hope now!
I wish I found you before I got root canal that has given me issues since I got it. The so called cavity I had didn’t bother me. Didn’t know I had a cavity. I would of tried your remedy. God bless!
Spit out, and you don't need to rinse, but if you do, do so with some warm water or warm clove water.
But people saying you get lipoid pneunomia from oil pulling, is that true?
Same! I have been oil pulling for 2 yrs with coconut oil. I had to root canals before that and I was in constant pain. I have hsd no root canals since and no more pain!! I do it for 20m every morning first thing.

Fascinating!! Beautiful lecture thank you!
This may explain why people on carnivory diet report gum disease going away and teeth health improving leaving dentists suprised, because there is no sugar, just red meat and water, no snacking so teeth have time and saliva can work! Makes sense to me!
Thank you for your comment! Appreciated. Ellie
Carnivore diet has zero fibre, so it will lead to diabetes instead.
This is so fascinating!!
I thought I was the only one who scrapes my teeth with sharp tweezers! There’s 2 of us!

Thank you so much for all this knowledge. I wished someone had told me that in my early 20s at least. I'm almost 30 and for such a long time I've been feeling like no matter what I do, the decay will never stop. This gives me hope and I just ordered everything you mentioned. 💪🏻
Thank you for giving me hope again about reversing the gum recession.
(and the grains)
what do you mean please
What do you eat that made them go away?
@@elisasmith1609 Eat raw milk, raw butter, raw kefir, cod liver oil, bone broth and brush your teeth with xylitol, sip green tea throughout the day and don't be a vegan.
@@elisasmith1609 Just normal food without grains filled them in. It's the phytic acid in grains which ruins teeth. Look that up.
It's a big mark and on the front of the tooth so you can see it when I smile.. but it's filled in and perfect, has been filled in for.. I dunno at least 15 years. No problem.
Dr. Ellie, you’ve mentioned using Sodium Fluoride which has been labeled a Neuro-Toxin that calcifies the Pineal gland.
Wow. We need the Pineal Gland in high functioning order. Maybe it's the amount of usage that matters.
@@nobodyhere4961 You're referring to Hexafluorosilicic acid.
Flouride was used in concentration camps by nazis. Im sure they were concerned about their oral care.

I used dankanti herbal toothpaste from india
I mix up bentonite clay, activated charcoal, baking soda and xylitol with a few drops of various essential oils. My mouth has never felt cleaner. Using regular toothpaste is a scam.
So maybe your mom washing your mouth out with soap and water wasn't a bad thing after all!
One question: Did the cavities disappear? Or they just didn't get any more?
Thank you. 💚
@@Cosmic-Cat. lol right.
@@kaycee557 can u tell me which mouth washes u r using and which toothpaste//can we use them natural ingredient mouthwash from vitamin health store/
The only possible downside is that it uses glycerine which I know Dr Ellie isn't fond of, but I looked and from what I've found, the issue with glycerine was mostly debunked (it's water soluble so it washes away, S Mutans can't "digest" it, and there was only 1 researcher who found issues with it and his research on the subject had many errors)
ACT is $30 in Canada. Opti-Rinse is $12... plus it's Canadian made. It has the same level of flouride, the same anti-bacterial ingredient.

What I've used to heal the holes in my teeth: 8 drops myrrh, 9 drops frankincense, 1 drop juniper oil. Put in a 3ml jar and multiple times a day put finger over the top, shake, and put that on the hole. Especially before going to bed. (Been using a dentist tool to get into a current corner spot. And the sealing over with rest from shaking the jar. Try to let it all dry for a few minutes.)
Only use 100% pure oils NOT chemically extracted. Don't even mix it with carrier oil, because want it to dry and form a temporary seal over the damage.
It does take a few months. And myrrh definitely lives up to it's name.
But last time I went to the dentist they insisted the last one who marked cavities made a mistake. Looking forward to surprise them in few months 😄

I count myself very lucky coming across this educative video. Am dealing with dental carries and I will try this
One thing I want to clarify here, is towards the end you talk about asking the dentist for more time before they fill in a cavity or whatever, you don't ask your dentist for more time.
If you go to this page - you will see some European studies - scroll down the first page and look at the images to show a tooth healing - under special QLF light technology:
www.dentalcare.com/en-us/ce-courses/ce73/quantitative-light-induced-fluorescence-qlf
Point being, it’s an autonomous choice. A dentist/doctor cannot force any treatment on an individual.

I've been using dental products with xylitol for several years. A mouthwash with xylitol that I was using stopped adding it once, and I started having tooth problems shortly afterwards. Oil pulling is also very good for tooth problems.

Some insights from the point of Chinese medicine about the importance of saliva
In Chinese medicine, saliva is considered an important bodily fluid.
Wow! Thanks for the info!

Then you get to talk about RTC's 😖

I have to get my medical insurance figure out but sadly not all dentist take medical insurance and I have been trying to brush my teeth once or twice a day. Also I need to mouth wash a floss more. I plan to cut down on sugar drinks and sweets. I did get a new crest pro health tooth paste and a softener tooth brush because my other toothbrush is to strong on my teeth.
Lol. Dentist. Whats that? UK has some real issues with dentists right now...
You and Barbara should team up and run the world. Everyone loves healing nowdays and I love seeing younger people today get a keen interest. Blessing to all that you do and keep spreading the knowledge ❤
Do you mean Barbara O'Neill? I'm fairly certain she wouldn't agree with the use of fluoride, considering it's a neurotoxin. Also, her husband is the founder of an anti-fluoride political group.
@@mswatchman4u oh yes true she hates fluoride and toothpaste. I just love this approach to health though. GPs don't fix the issue they just treat symptoms and fill prescription quotas so funding will rollover the next year. These people should be recipients of our tax dollars or held higher in our communities 🙏
@@mswatchman4u I think you could swap out the fluoride for something else. Maybe colloidal silver or vinegar??? Something anti-bacterial.
Nice comment but running a world with billions of humans esp geo politics is very diff then being good at teaching and community health care solutions.
