As the saying goes, “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.” Mike Tyson is considered one of the most dangerous boxers of all time during his prime. The former undisputed world heavyweight champion dominated the ring for several years.
However, despite his fearsome reputation, some of his opponents didn’t consider him a threat before they got into the ring with him. Unfortunately, most of them learned the hard way and got destroyed by Mike Tyson.

He had a concussion, broken orbital, and a jacked up neck from the first round. He had good reason to be shook.
Damn golota really got shaken up after that knockdown. You can clearly see he does not want to continue anymore despite his corner telling him to go on, he knows that if he continues he'll get knocked out or worse so respect for him backing out.
I don't think i have ever seen a trainer trying to force a mouth guard into a boxer and telling him to go out for another round.

you must be kidding. Did you miss the wilder/fury trilogy? wilder/fury III was the greatest fight in ALL of boxing history those two fighters put it ALL out there. After watching it I cried. I'll never see a fight like that again. Go to that fight on youtube and scroll through the comments....universal acclaim for both fighters! virtually unheard of.

McNeeley was in the best shape of his life for this fight. For an athlete who suffered from alcoholism and cocaine addiction, he was focused on beating Tyson but was absolutely no match for the genius of Iron Mike. I personally wanted to see Tyson finish him off and send a message to Medfield because I grew up in Needham and we beat them in Football, Basketball, Hockey, Soccer, and Baseball.

A lot of these guys weren’t cocky. A misleading headline for sure, that’s kind of cheap and weak.
The over-under on McNeeley was whether he would survive the first round. Spoiler Alert... the answer was no.
Green had a better chance, because he was a defensive boxer, but in the end, he was a joke too.
Fergusson was more respectable, but he got cracked so hard that he ended up holding until he was DQ'd.

He broke his cheekbone and herniated a disc in his neck that was pressing on his spinal cord. He also had a concussion. The fact that he plays off, makes him a warrior. Also, the fact that his trainer and the reporters belittled him, and tried to shame him because he quit is disgraceful.

Everything just went south for Golota after the Bowe fight. lf he had just kept his head on straight he would have beat Bowe and this fight with Tyson could have broken gate records.
