Sure hope I didn't forget anything! The flight planning part of my Oshkosh trip has begun and although I am far from done, I am presenting what I have so far. Initial tracks, items that have to be completed including US Border Crossing requirements AND Canadian Border requirements for my return flight. More detailed information will come in upcoming videos as I tighten up on the what and where of my journey.
Any additional suggestions to help get my planning tightened up would be greatly appreciated.
Don't be shy and subscribe, watch a few videos, hit the like and pass the links around. It helps me keep going!
Here are the links I mention in the video.

Informative videos Tony. Thanks. My FF XC plans can also be a mish-mash of options. Hope to meet you in OSH.

Good news on my side. Got my CANPASS certificate in email the day I had posted the video. That opens a few options for my return trip. Continuing on the details. When do you plan on being there?

Hey Tony. I'm also planning my first trip to OSH this year, out of Red Deer in my RV9A. I applied for my DTOPS decal on June 3 and received it last week. I applied for CANPASS on June 11 and the had it approved in my email box 24 hours after they received the application. If you are on week 2 and haven't heard from them, call them. They are extremely quick right now. I plan to fly out on the 21st - all in one day - but with an option to camp overnight short of KOSH if I don't feel fresh enough to do the Fisk approach. Weather permitting, all the way home in one day, taking advantage of CANPASS into CYEN.
BTW, I know you don't care, but I hit subscribe right at the moment you gave your convincing Quebecois appeal. :-) I am also Claude, but I'm not fetching your coffee.

Hey Claude! Thanks for the sub! Always appreciated. You have the the white and green rv?
I got mine just a short day after I posted. I had not checked email as I was informed that there would be a phone call and interview, etc. Guess not!! LOL Either way, I have the docs printed and already in the documents bag with all the other stuff. There are a few other guys who will be down there from our area as well: one of them in an R44 (but he plans on arriving on wednesday). My plan is for the 20th departure as you know. Weather is the only thing that will have me delay to the 21st. It will be a one day plan for me as well but will probably do a hotel stop the night before as I don't want to be packing a possibly damp tent the next morning. Given that things start on the 20th, I am expecting light traffic on that day but one never knows. I have seen a few videos in the past years for that "first day of the notam" arrival but have not had luck finding it this year. Send me an email at hudpilot1@gmail.com and I will share my number so we can chat. I should be at CEA3 working on the annual in prep for the journey this weekend. Drop by if you like (the weather mod hangar next to clubhouse). Where you crossing into the states?
OH ... I am a little disappointed about not fetching me coffee! LOL.

@@HUDPilot Yes, mine is the accidental Buffalo colored RV. My plan A is CYYN- KMOT and then something East side of MSP and then into the Fisk arrival. Plan B would be camping at the last stop - but the wet tent thing is a good thought. Date is flexible and dependent on weather. I don't really want to get there too early since the on field amenities only start up on the Saturday. The possibility of less traffic is a strong lure to an earlier trip.
I'll drop you an email, Saturday might end up being a flyable day, so popping down may be an option.
