How To Use PS2 CodeBreaker Cheats For PS2 ISO/BIN Games On PS3! (CFW)

Additional Information:
◦ If your going to be using a FAT32 USB stick to transfer your PS2 games over. Only games that is UNDER 4GB’s can be transfer this way. If your PS2 title is larger than 4GB’s you’ll either have to use FileZilla FTP Client or a PS2 ISO Splitter to transfer on FAT32.
◦ Note for this process as well it's important to know your games content ID.

I have finally find the video guide I've been looking for. Thanks for the detailed explanations, and I understand the process more/less. The game I'm playing now is Star Ocean Till The End Of Time PS2, and the game grinding too much on higher difficulties, so I gotta use some gameshark codes, but I don't know how to use PS2 gameshark codes for PS2 games on PS3... But thanks to this video, I think I get it. But I don't have PC as I type this on my Macbook. 😅 Hopefully I could get around it.

Is there a software similar to isobuster I can use? The software included in the download link only unpacks a small portion of the disc image file for some unknown reason. When I transfer the files from isobuster to a new folder I'm only seeing 13MB of files of what should be around 2.8GB. The iso is Kingdom Hearts USA.
@lbrinkmeyer81 I was having similar issues and i tried running as administrator and that solved it. i hope it helps you guys

Would you know if with codebreaker on NHL 2K3 video game season mode, could you change players stats, take players off the injured reserve, create a player in season mode since there are hidden players like Jukka Hentunen and type more characters for their names since their is only 7 characters you could type in and Hentunen does not fit, as well as add players who disappeared from the game roster(which I accidently did) or turn off trade deadline once you have begun your season? That would be very helpful
Yo dude multiman says that it needs to convert the ps2iso file that i already modded to ps2 classic? Is my multiman outdated or what?
Also the codebreaker doesnt work if i enable the virtual memory cards on the ps3. Once i start the game on the codebreaker the screen blackout
What if I have the game breaker disc already? Could I still use it on the backup games?
How small did your file size shrink to? my Monster Rancher EVO file size went from 4ish gigs to 2 gigs lmao
Hey man it worked all good, but I can't find the game i want to play and i noticed there's 1342 games on codebreaker while in another version it has like 2048 games, do you know how to get more games?
The two games I've tried this on don't seem to want to boot up at all on my PS3. I have a CECHE-01 model, and the games in question are PAL and NTSC-J (running on a NTSC-U console). I followed this tutorial step by step and can't get these games to load at all when I try to boot the SCES-11111.ELF file. Any thoughts on how to get around this?

I got gta san andres, max payne 2, dynasty warriors 5 ,dynasty warriors 3 xl, ultimate ninja 5 eu, silent hill 3, mgs3 substance disc 2, black(shooter game),all (usa) working

Why can't you see the games cover art anymore after applying the codebreaker to the game? I've tried everything when it comes to getting cover art for those games. My standard games all have cover art, but not the codebreaker ones. ?!?!
I have a question about this and it is:
-When you already have the Iso with the CodeBreaker tricks, and programmed with the programs you used, can that Iso also be converted into a PKG, with the Ps2ClassicGui application?
It is that this tried, to do it in UltraIso, but I get a message that I cannot save isos, with the amount of 300MB, or if the program is not evaluated, and if there is a way to solve, the UltraIso, with the evaluation, I will be eternally grateful bro. ;)
I'm pretty sure there was an easier method involving webman were you would unmount the codebreaker disc when you went to start the game.?
That's what I used to do on a modded phat on 4.82 but can't seem to do it on a slim on 4.85.
My bad. looking back this was the only way but I swear we could do it without the extract/repack faffing about.

Showtime in the multiman app reads NTFS Usb Format so you don't have to use FAT 32 to transfer your games.

1 question.. i'm able to launch the game on certain game, but there's this 1 game called beat down just won't launch if you extract the codebreaker on the newly created iso file.. my tv just shown no signal and not progressing anymore, i've tried the SLES and SLUS version but still won't launch, but able to launch if it's the original iso.. any idea why?

I'm attempting to do this for xenosaga, its a dual layer disk, I was wondering if anyone figured out how to get the data from the second layer. so the original ISO i have is 8.XXGB. when I look at isobuster, it shows UDF and ISO, I followed the instructions per video and got the ISO out, but its only like 3.5GB, I tried to extract UDF (but it then says i need to register) but the files look exactly the same as the ISO one, so Im a bit confused here, anyone know what I am supposed to do here? especially for dual layer disks.

Could I do this process and then use the PS2 Classics GUI program to make a PKG file out of the ISO that has the codebreaker files installed into it and then install the PKG onto my PS3 would it work? Also would this work with HEN or it only works on CFW?

Tried this on FFX but it seems that when using isobuster the extracted files are not even 1gig even though the iso is about 4gigs. Any work around on this?
Not all ps2 isos can be extracted correctly with iso buster, some heavier games (ff12, gran turismo 4, rogue galaxy etc..) have a different coding or a protection that makes them unusable after extraction, often resulting in a volume that is twice the original size (sometimes less than half the size), and of course gives errors when attempting to recreate the iso file, thus making the new file unusable.
As of now I haven't found somebody that managed to solve this, the other option might be merging both the codebreaker iso and the game iso and convert them to multi-disk PS2classic format, if that's even possible...

So I have ps3 hen/hfw, and I am wondering what if I do these steps first and then at the end convert it to a pkg file since hen doesnt support ps2 disc format for us hen/hfw users🤔
Update: Working 2023 👍🏾 do all the steps then convert it into pkg using the ps2classic program.

Hi, I was trying this stuff on Final Fantasy XII SLUS 20963. When I load up the ISO file on iso buster, the total I got was only around 5MB, though the game itself is 3.78GB. I dont understand. Did I missed something here?

... You say that the files need to be the same size when extracted... But give no indication on what to do when that doesn't happen... Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Job System is over 4GB, but when extracted it only comes to about 10MB. I followed your instructions and this didn't do what you did...

Have you ever experienced an issue where you select the cheats and then go back to the option to load the game from the code breaker screen and then the PS screen just goes black? The system is on, but nothing comes up on the screen. It's like like it doesn't know what to load so the system doesn't start.
May I recommend how to play back up blu ray movie iso's?

@Tony Soprano the thing is, when I "put" my movies on USB, it tells me there's copy protection on the movie and will cease to play. I would have to download via torrents to play movies the way you're saying, but I would like to have blu ray quality
can you help me out? im trying to add files to my ps2 iso ps2 isos typically are 4gb, whats happening is everytime i extract the iso its only 128mb of 4gb with isobuster in this video so i add the files I want in this case codebreak elf files and then rebuild the iso and put that in my ps3 - the iso is now 1gb instead of 4gb at this point. It doesnt run the game..? The game is ratchet and clank 3 usa copy by the way.
Did you ever figure this out? Trying to do a ratchet game aswell.
@@FunkyPanda1 nope there is some copy protection which prevents all files to be extracted, the only option you have is use your ps2 and load the cheats there then transfer the saves to ps3 :(

tombafan I did kinda there is a tool called ps2 patch engine which will let you inject cheats into the iso similar to this method but alot quicker. It only accepted one of my codes though the rest it wouldn’t work with. You can try it and see if it works for yours

@@Duran_Duran784 I tested it and it doesn't work you can encrypt the iso just fine but you can't convert it to pkg.
I have issue using codebreaker on Onimusha 2. It shut off my ps3 after I start game with codebreaker. See if you can use codebreaker on Onimusha 2 and work... and let me know.. thanks...

@@bustergundo516 best way to do it if you've got a pc load up onimusha 2 in pcsx2 choose all the cheat 100 health things weapons eyctc make a save and copy the sve to the ps3 you'll have enough stuff to easily finish the game
