  • The shed build finally gets under way. From delivery to completion. Unfortunately I had to work while the construction was happening so most of the updates are after each day as the work progressed.
    The shed turned out pretty good but I had a few contractor issues which I would say is typical with any build.
    So it’s a big shed but it’s going to have a tiny home inside it. See future videos for the fit out of the living space.
    If you have any questions about the build just send it in the comments.
    Thanks for watching the vid. next up the fit out will start.

      Thanks mate. Yeah the boat hasn’t seen much action and it won’t for a while. I’m on a trip around Australia at the moment. Hopefully I will get some content to share.

    Hey mate, I’ve been looking to do the same thing but with ICF to help go completely off grid. I’m looking to go in the n/nw in the Gippsland in VIC. I do want a basement to so that should be interesting. This is a great eye opener because I want a shed house to. One thing I’ve learnt seeing this and a few more videos is stay on site as much as possible and learn as much about other trades as possible. Cheers mate for this, really enjoyed watching the series getting it done. Just a quick question. How high is your is the top floor from floor to ceiling? Again cheers

      Glad it was helpful mate. Shed is 5m to the gutter then 6.2 to the roof apex. The mezzanine is around 2.8m from slab. Add the thickness of it to that. So it’s not full height at around the perimeter when walking around the mezzanine.

    Nice shed mate! What size is it and how much is the kit?

    Dents in the roller doors were from “you” sitting them on the Timbers when they got delivered

      That’s what the delivery driver said to do.

    Thats cool mate, guessing its Class 1a for liveable shed or whatever ?
    Could have almost dropped the mezz deck and had living quarters up the top instead, would have almost be easier to plumb as well
    Its kind of what I want to build for myself ... big 2 car garage, with a workshop area, mezz deck above workshop with living quarters .... and build house later
    Defs feel you should put some windows higher up especially up in the dark mezz deck area (you'll have lights but natural light would be good no ?

    • @AusAdventure
      @AusAdventure  5 місяців тому +1

      Yeah it’s 1a. Mezzanine is going to be storage and a bar eventually. I do have window to go up there but haven’t put them in yet.

    Last thing I’d want is someone watching me work let alone filming so I understand old mate being camera shy

    • @AusAdventure
      @AusAdventure  6 місяців тому

      Yeah it can make people feel uncomfortable and I respect that. However I did tell them I would be filming the build prior to signing the contract and it wasn’t an issue then but I don’t think the sales people passed that info on to the build team which is why I didn’t film much.

    What company did you use to design and supply the steel? With the benefit of hindsight would you do anything differently? I'm about to embark on a multi-use shed with accommodation about 26 x 18 x 5.1 in northern nsw.

    • @AusAdventure

      That’s a good sized shed. Wish mine was that big. In hindsight there are a few things I would change. Bigger windows, dishwasher, extra bedroom. I’m not going to be promoting the shed builder on here. Contact me on instagram and I give you more info if you like.

      They were the red tongue. Pretty sure they are the one standard size. They are just thicker than the yellow tongue.
