Picking that floor out with your mini-excavator was some very impressive operating skills. Great Welding skills also. Love watching your work habits. Keep on Doin Stuff.
The cutoff metal can be used over your windows as an awning or if you put in a man door, an awning over it. Also if you need to reinforce any areas, you have the perfect patch! Enjoying from California's Gold Country, U.S.A.!
Great video, looking forward to the next one. Personally, I think a Perspex/engineered glass floor insert would have been cool on cantilever container!
In reference to @ 41:10 Use the shipping container scrap to make window shades/awnings. The kind that over hang and block the direct sunlight and rain. maybe a 25 degree angle? they are the right size and would need very little extra support. Also You gained a Subscriber. I really enjoy these type of videos, They kinda remind me of Farmcraft101 and his videos. Well done. Little bit of criticism Your music is a bit louder than it should be to be honest. It comes in rather loud from a relatively lower volume when you're talking. I hope you don't mind me saying that, and other than the volume of the music vs the speech I found the video nicely rounded. Maybe use a bit more time lapses and you will have a real banger of a format!
I love the setup! Use of terrain is awesome! The off cut metals, you could make a door insert from it? Potentially a little awning over the back windows set in a tube frame...
What a fun video to watch!! They turned out great and I like the shade of green you selected!! I am enjoying watching all the different ways people are being creative with these shipping containers. Also I am jealous because I would love to have a spray gun that works as well as yours did!! I have tried and tried and they just never work!!! 🥺
Just joined, take the piece you cut out and make an Awning for that window. Yes it’s only 1/2 the size of that cutout- but on the end cut another piece about a foot and angle it just slightly- make the frame from old bed frames. Everyone just throws them away. That Metal is some Strong Metal. Anyway you asked what to do with those pieces- and that’s what I would do - my wife would be happier- and Me, well - eww lala - haha-
use of cuts for window awnings or external door entries as mini awnings? just a thought, or rain deflectors for the point where you are attaching the containers to the existing building.
use the steel container sheets.. look out the window.. there is a small gap between the I-Beam legs n the other container... plus you can make a awning above the windows.. n rain not falling on top of the windows. you can also fill the hole with the same material...add some electrical outlets inside... for a fan or lights or just use them as extension when working inside.
use them to make a retaining wall. Your property has a lot of elevation change, im sure there is an area where you could create a small retaining wall to get more space and it would look good.
Always handy to have a gate lying around those window cut outs will come in handy for that. Horses run along way so maybe Phar lap would be a good name. 🤔🤔
Use your steel cut outs to make awnings for your window. Stops sun shining in, still heaps of light and keeps rain out when I forget to close the window.
Another great video, Jim. If only it did take 1 hour....my recent shed extension took 1 hour + about 10 days of hard slog. You look like you have so much storage now, you will never fill it....BUT, I reckon you will fill those containers, then go looking for more!!
Put an edge on the end of the sea can so the rain won’t go thru between? Make a cap to go along the sea can where they but up to stop rain ?? Make a porch along the edges where you dug out to get under to direct rain ? Or make a small wall under the sea can to make a small storage?? Maybe you could have put the door up side down??? 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
was a company here that put silt for the parking lots in the cans for the winter they did that to there cans when the break throw the floors concrete them
Great job Dude ! .... just a thought with the left over container wall bits , might be enough left for a retainer wall under the two 40 footers from ground height ?♥️😉🙃😎 NZ
You could use cut out pieces to make a awning for the windows! Putting a roof on the containers will stop standing water from rusting the roof out and help keep them cooler.
U can use thoes extra pieces as skirting for your little container or as patches for the holes and you should put a porch on top of that other container with a door and lil bridge
Do you need side to side gussets? Actually if they drove a machine in they would stop at the first dmg. They dragged something out Looking really good. Please come to Canada and give me a hand lol Can you put the door in backwards and swing out? Much easier
Extremely interesting Do you think you should have purchased A grade instead of stuffing around? I'm going to do the same thing at my block but don't want the stuffing around
Are you sure it wont collapse. You are supposed to bang it and say that ain't going anywhere for confirmation. Nice solution for your property. Pipe is measured on inside, tube is measured on outside. Leftover steel could used for a Raised garden bed, with some rust proofing.
Could have taken a grinder and knocked the edges off of it to where you could have rolled wrote it smooth and stuff for the road smooth right over top of it
If you place work benches over the taller ply floor, or fixed shelving your laughing, oops guess not Now all you need to do is take some of the wall out between the 2 containers??
I Mastered Shed Expansion in Just 1 Hour. 😅🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤨🤨🤔🙄😱 I think you spent over a hour on the footings part alone. I love titles like this, so unbelieveable.....😋🤬
Probably could make some awnings of those cutouts to minimize the sun/heat coming in the widows but not obstruct the view much at all
Great idea, thanks for that 👍
Absolutely best use
Came here to suggest the same!
Came to suggest the same too haha. If you make them L shaped then they has a vertical support and can shade from one side too.
Window awnings for sure...but the bridge idea sounds pretty cool too.
Picking that floor out with your mini-excavator was some very impressive operating skills. Great Welding skills also. Love watching your work habits. Keep on Doin Stuff.
Thanks mate, glad you're enjoying it! 😎
Love ya work that door turned out sick so did the windows 👌🏾😍, you should just paint that black ply around the door green.
Thanks for the ideas 👍

Yes, very good idea, thanks! I'm liking the awning over the man door. 😎
Liking this type of content. No stuffing around and in to it .👍🏾🇦🇺
Thanks for that 👍
I’ve just found your channel. Your building technique is much like my late grandfather’s. Use what ya got. Mend and reuse. I love it!
Aww, thank you. I'm glad that you liked it 👌
the concrete is used as a counter balance to make them more steady on railways . love the vid M8
here from Canada ! woot! some beautiful country there
Thanks for that 👍
That window fit is so satisfying…
greetings from siberia! thants for the intresting video , it's nice to watch a man who does what he likes👍
these containers would make a great mini house with a rood terrace on another container
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. 👍
Great video, looking forward to the next one. Personally, I think a Perspex/engineered glass floor insert would have been cool on cantilever container!
I'm not sure I'd want a glass floor but thanks for the idea! 😉

I like that idea 👍
I’d use the off cuts on top of container creating a seating area for an evening beer enjoying the views you have 👍
Sounds great!👍
nice, i wish you were my dad and showed me how to do stuff
Thanks mate, my dad didn't show me how to do this. I just tried it for myself and never gave up 😎
Great video so far, with those cut outs. You could make some raised garden beds would be nice simple use.
Hmmm not really a gardener, but I appreciate the idea. 😉
I love the setup! Use of terrain is awesome!
The off cut metals, you could make a door insert from it?
Potentially a little awning over the back windows set in a tube frame...
I love that idea, great thinking 👍
Just a comment to show appreciation and support for the hard work!
Thanks mate for that 👍 appreciate it 😎
the left over bits are good for patches if you need to repair the containers for rust or anything else look forward to seeing it finished
Yeah I was thinking the same thing.👍
What a fun video to watch!! They turned out great and I like the shade of green you selected!! I am enjoying watching all the different ways people are being creative with these shipping containers. Also I am jealous because I would love to have a spray gun that works as well as yours did!! I have tried and tried and they just never work!!! 🥺
Thanks for watching, I think green is the perfect color for the shed too!
Great execution of your idea. Very well planned out great work.
Thanks! Glad you liked it! 👍
Good luck with your channel. Good work. Watching for the first time.
Thanks, glad you're here!

Getting good views on this 1 Jim. We'll done mate awesome vid 👌
Oh Yeah, loving it. 😎
Good and servicable, well done.
Thanks for that.👍

Another great video mate. Really enjoying this build. Chris TRP
Thanks Chris 👍

Thanks for the idea, I'm not sure if I'll have enough left over but it's worth considering 🤔
Always handy to have a gate lying around those window cut outs will come in handy for that. Horses run along way so maybe Phar lap would be a good name. 🤔🤔
With a couple of posts, you could use the leftover cutouts as a quick retaining wall.
I like your thinking 👍

Nice job! Loved the vid
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Great job Dude ! .... just a thought with the left over container wall bits , might be enough left for a retainer wall under the two 40 footers from ground height ?♥️😉🙃😎 NZ
Good tip!, thanks 👍
That’s a handy way todo it
What a excellent vi really appreciate seeing it. I just hate snakes and mice like everybody else.
You could use cut out pieces to make a awning for the windows! Putting a roof on the containers will stop standing water from rusting the roof out and help keep them cooler.
Good Ideas, thanks 👍
Scraps I've seen welded into raised garden beds using rubber hose along the top edge as a safety bump.
Use the steel as awnings over the windows. Keep some heat out while light/breeze can come in.
Thanks for that, great idea! 😎
Sun shades for the windows
Nice, thanks for that 👍
@ your welcome if you rebate the profile and hinge the top profile it can also be used as a bad weather shutters
You could use the metal walls leftover as a roof between the shed
I like that 👌
You can put them over the windows to give shade and reduce the amount of water hitting your windows.
Great idea, thanks for that 👍
U can use thoes extra pieces as skirting for your little container or as patches for the holes and you should put a porch on top of that other container with a door and lil bridge

No problem love the videos

Can you put the door in backwards and swing out? Much easier
I currently don't have a passport 🙃 thanks for the offer though 😏
Extremely interesting
Do you think you should have purchased A grade instead of stuffing around?
I'm going to do the same thing at my block but don't want the stuffing around
I have the materials, skills and time to do this at a lower cost for me, It's not for the faint hearted. Good luck with your build 👍
28:09 Path of Destruction is such a metal band name type of phrase
🤟
Are you sure it wont collapse. You are supposed to bang it and say that ain't going anywhere for confirmation. Nice solution for your property. Pipe is measured on inside, tube is measured on outside. Leftover steel could used for a Raised garden bed, with some rust proofing.
Thanks for that info and ideas 👍 appreciate it.
Hi Jim, Im from WA. Can the door go in upside down
I had thought of that but the way the door frame is made the way it is. If it was just a door without a frame it would wrk . Thanks for the idea 👍
Easy way to remove the floor is to use a hole saw over the bolts....work well and is quick...then just hit the bolts off with your hammer..👍
Thanks for that, I'll give that a go on the next one! 👍
you should see if the cut off metal fits between the end where the windows are and that other container dawn below
Sort of like a bridge between the 2?
I like that idea.
Use the left over sheets and make window ornings
That's brilliant, I like that idea.
Super
Thanks
Id chuck some stairs up side the container keep that view ahy.
I like your thinking, stay tuned... 😎
Use left over metal for shade block
Maybe rotate the door so it become left swing? Might need new lock for that.
Thanks for your thoughts 👍
great vid looking forwrd to seeing more
Thanks for that 👍
How about an Awning out over the windows to keep the sun down a bit.
Thanks for that, good idea 👍
I used my cut outs for over hangs over the windows
Cut the left over peaces and make above ground planters.
I'm not much of a gardener but thanks for the thought 👍
Being your on hill side, use leftover metal from container to build wall for plants , concrete work for sidewalks, 😅
Thanks for that, I'm not much of a gardener. 😉 I like the other idea though 👍
Make garden beds outa the left over bits of steel. Make 2 boxes compost bins mulch. Your on land. Veggie patch ahy.
Thanks! I'm not much of a gardener though 😅
retaining wall from the offcuts
The Used the shipping container metal if you’ve more than four ,raised veg or flower beds
Nice, but I'm not much of a gardener 🤣 thanks anyway 👍
Then a canopy over the smoking shelter lol 😝
Raised planter bed
Take your circular saw and set the depth so you can only cut 4.mm hold fennce up and just cut back and forth to make a little ramp (problem solved )
Is it a " saw " or a " sore " or a " soar " ?.
Yes....
Raised garden beds
Make pool or small spa.
I like that idea 😏👍
Could have taken a grinder and knocked the edges off of it to where you could have rolled wrote it smooth and stuff for the road smooth right over top of it
Interesting! 🤔
If you place work benches over the taller ply floor, or fixed shelving your laughing, oops guess not Now all you need to do is take some of the wall out between the 2 containers??
Good point! 🤔
I Mastered Shed Expansion in Just 1 Hour. 😅🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤨🤨🤔🙄😱 I think you spent over a hour on the footings part alone. I love titles like this, so unbelieveable.....😋🤬
The video went for an hour....
But you watched it right....😆
It took longer to move all the stuff in.
Security window shutters
Garden beds
Mmmmm I'm not much of a gardener 🤣 thanks for that though.
I mastered "Domain Expansion"
Spray gun and no mask god damn
Thanks for your input 👍
50x50 shs "square hollow section '"
Not rhs!
"Rolled Hollow section" is what I've been told by the supplier. Anyone can call it different if they want to.
