We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

I dont know why eufy didnt put wifi built in! Instead of using the bridge! Just doesnt make sense!
Yeah, I'm still tempted to get it but that's very annoying 🤦🏾♂️. I swear some of the these companies make things unnecessarily complex for no reason. Checking others on the market
I think partly it has to do with the bridge being a chime.
I’m not an expert, but this is my research so far. Built in Wi-Fi is a energy hog. Having a bridge that’s plugged in all the time solves the problem of having to change your battery every month versus every six months. In addition, the bridge is an extender between your door lock, and your Wi-Fi router.

Does that wifi bridge by chance act as a chime when the doorbell is pressed? Or do you only receive notification on mobile devices?
According to a different video, the bridge does act as a chime -or- you can have your Alexa or Google Assistant device chime instead

Hi, for the video recording, does it have the option to record only movements/interactions vs recording 24/7 like a security camera? Considering the SD Card memory size for storage, what is the maximum size we can use?
Does this doorbell works with 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz? Had trouble with the s40 cam which only connects to 2.4Ghz wifi. Luckily y just walked far from the house so my phone would switch to the 2.4 wifi and set it up before installing it. I wonder if this doorbell can be setup before actually mounting it.
How do you reset it to connect with your door bell chime?
Mine stopped working. Waiting on customer service support to respond. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, replaced the battery and nothing. Kept reading offline although it was connected to my Wi-Fi. Disappointed that I can’t access my front door anymore. I’ve had it less than a year.
You dont need a wifi bridge! Lock comes with built in wifi!

concerened the camera has limited field of vision when someone is at the door when the senor picks them up? I need it to pick up their face no matter their hight when someone walks up to my door which will be no more than about 2 feet away when they are in view of the camera. I don't just want a body shot?

Downside, with door open and uninvited guest at your door, you lose line of sight
Who keeps their doors open unless you have a security door then. It would capture anyone at or entering which is what I'm interested in. All doors have standard peep whole, I am interested in monitoring who comes in when I'm not there or snooping around not when I'm home and my dog alerts me.
Any chance you'll review Lockly's Vision Elite? Heard promising features about it like enhanced night vision and solar panel charging. Been wanting to get one from Best Buy
I watched a video on it and was impressed it came with extra battery and solar but, it was said the motion sensor was iffy at times and it didn't work if it was unlocked not great for vacation rental monitoring,

Can I just use the guts of my existing deadbolt or do I need to swap out to the one provided? I don’t want to have to make a few copies of the keys for it

It detects all motion lol, but you can set it to notify when it sees a human specifically. We have had bear and deer in the backyard and it didn't notify us that it saw human just motion detected. Hope that helps.

Would love for you to show more examples of adults at the door and coming in and out of the house. I hear a drawback is the camera is too low to see the adult faces when they are standing right at the door. You only show kids (maybe this is intentional to hide this drawback)
Totally not an issue for me. I've shown myself at the door in the video. I'm not tall 5'9" but you can easily see my face. My kids also helped with the video as these are the people I had access to.
The point is valid which brings me to the question.. does it pre-record few seconds before the motion is detected?

where is the battery charger ?
I have the solo cam s340 and the T8530 door lock bell cam and they both constantly miss events. The door records to the doorbell chime SD card and the outdoor cam records to the Homebase 3. I have checked all settings / firmware updates and still cant figure out why they miss events. Anyone with these issues?
I personally haven't experienced these issues

Not sure a smart lock on a thin door that is also housed with glass makes sense but I appreciate the installation review.

Have to disagree. I have a deeper door frame and the camera loses a third of its picture due to the frame. I do not advise purchasing this product for the camera if you have a door frame equal to or greater than 2 inches. Eufy support says its a problem with my door frame. 2 stars from me.
that is not standard, but everyone should evaluate what their needs and setup will produce as this is not a cheap unit.
