1990 GMC Topkick Dumptruck Start Up, Engine, and In Depth Tour

- Опубліковано 4 гру 2010
- In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 1990 GMC Topkick Dumptruck. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this truck while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this truck designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I really appreciate that you also review such vehicles, not just supercars :)
Car Dude 777 he doesn’t now all he does now is view the must want Dream car of every scrawny loser high school millennial
Silas McGee
These cars also happen to be the same dream cars for you old farts. Also, high schoolers aren't millenials, they're gen z.
@@bossmansal67
Yep.
I love how he says something along the lines of, "Fantastic," or "Wonderful!" every time he starts up a vehicle, no matter how big a piece of shit it is.
Gavin Brown just like your crown Vic
supra6t9 I love a cvpi any day but that gmc is still cool I got a thing for old big trucks and trains aswell as cars

V8 gasoline truck. Awesome!!
Post The 1997 Chevrolet S10 4.3V6 Start Up Engine And Depth Tour
Glad you put in all this effort just to show us cars. Thanks Kyle!
Haha, oh I love how you are so kind to these beat up old cars Kyle! I think you are a very strong person for being able to do that and not just let opinions or the overall state of the car make you say anything negative about it! (Unless it was a neglected repo... LOL)
1:20 I LOVE THE STARTUP
meh, city people don't realize how powerful these old GM trucks are, but just trucks but everything american made before 1995 they last a long time, and the sound they make is heck of a lot nicer than any modern car/truck, nothing tops an American v8... I bought a 1986 GMC Vandura cargo van and 1985 GMC topkick brand new from the dealer for my business here in Kuwait, both are running strong and are being worked with minimal wear and tear..
Abode A nice
Old machines were built to last some still on the job to this day
We had one with air brakes, the way the pump was set up was horrible. It would constantly rattle them out, one time it broke the bolt holes in the head that held the pump up. Easy enough fix, we just swapped the heads around (by the way, the heads on those 366 bb's were fucking heavy). That's when we figured out the factory bolts weren't using up half the threads they could have. Put in the right length bolts and it was great from then on out.
love how he says 1985 even tho the title and description says 1990
Right here Kyle we need more of this right here for 2018
1:06 Me after Taco Bell.
Adam Thomson 😂😂

These taco bell jokes are unoriginal af.

Lmao nice try, dummy.
@@bossmansal67 yep your right
good review dude,i love the variety of vehicles you review.
Car Salesman: *slaps roof of 1990 GMC Topkick Dumptruck* "This bad boy will do 45 mph in about a minute and always reeks of gas even though it is almost always empty."
I love these old gmc top kicks
kyle you are the best..you know how to show off a car/truck the way we would if we were looking at it not just walking around something and saying thats it
people still use these kinds of trucks everywhere in my area. just go to a local construction site, train track, or mountain snowplows and you're bound to see these everywhere.
This thing would have probably looked old in 1975...
+Falando
April 23, 1987, to be precise.
Wilhem275
Lol, I have an 81 Chevy 3 ton. That thing looked old in 75.
The wheels
@@mowenreal Spoked wheels were used for a while and can still be very common on trucks from the 80s and 90s.
For some reason i like these videos better than sports car videos.
Fun video. I enjoyed it. I daydream of these and plan to buy one. I currently have a GMC skoolie with the bbc 366. Not a race motor but a workhorse for torque.
I day dream of owning a 1980s gmc b series and making it to a daily where the very back seats are sold along with a handicap arm for space
Great video as always Kyle! I've always liked those GM heavy trucks.
It's vehicles like these that make me appreciate my functioning driver side doors lol.
dude the last two vehicles really make you strugle but we appreciate it, keep doing the good job.
This has to be one of the funniest video on UA-cam I've seen for a long time. And the comments are priceless! :-D
if i had the money, i'd drive one of these back and forth to school and work everyday :D
Interior looks just like my 91 GMC truck
That thing may be old, but she's a beaut! I've always wanted a Topkick to build a custom box on the back and use it as a gigantic pickup.
To me this is a beautiful truck so antique
oh man the drawing on the sun visor is SO funny!
Awesome truck!
you're the best man ! Thank you buddy!
366 is a great engine i got on in my c30 pick up daily driver, great on power and great on fuel
i like how you do every type of car/truck/ect not just the good ones(if you get me) :)
awesome entrance
Sick truck massive steering wheel Haha that car behind it looks pretty cool too
I like the touch of humor. :)
GOOD job saabkyle04 for honking the horn at 7:18 we couldn't hear it the first time
Fantastic
great video kyle. good old workl truck
When you was crawling out you touched the horn it made me laugh
waoo excelent gmc saludos desde Ecuador
This is probably the funniest car review ever!
dude nice find man. always love the old stuff from u. just becareful of the horn next time lol
I would love to see more videos like this one specially if you can get your hands on the newer transport trucks. Say like the sleeper bed style ones would be neat to see
Awesome love it
My friend used to have an '88 3/4 ton Sierra with the 350 TBI motor. Sounded just like that, with the whine.
always wanted a GMC dumptruck, it's my dream
then go buy one
this is a full restore project.i notice in 1985 no head supports
what about doing new trucks or pre owned trucks.did enjoy it.great sound
I'll be damn, I was expecting it to be a 454. Cool vid!
1:07 That odd noise when he stepped on the brake
That’s the brake compressor so when the truck is off, you don’t need to stand on the brake to stop it
@@gregorysgaragetowing164 Good to know thnx 💯👍🏽
Hell yeah!! I’d drive that to a wedding
I found it funny the way you said "fantastic" after the engine started haha
The dash reminds me of my old '93 S10 Blazer Tahoe :P
this is a great video I loved it and it was really funny too lol
\
I like it!
1:27 Love Kyle's enthusiasm, "Fantastic!" ahahahah
he even had problem getting in hahaha
nice video
i think this is my favorite saabkyle video
That clutch goes in so far
Awesome, love how you don't discriminate, keep up the good work. I'm guessing this is your last dump truck review. :o)
I love how the signals would stay on for 2, 3 seconds and then flicker a bit or something
The most funny review of all his channel
world class seats :D
damn man you really do go over the top with the variety! shall we see a peterbilt tractor trailer or a full blown monster truck in the future?
The second generation of the Chevrolet Kodiak/GMC TopKick was introduced for 1990. Under the GMT530 architecture, all GM medium-duty trucks were consolidated under the Kodiak/TopKick nomenclature, with C/K shifting to consumer-derived vehicles (pickup trucks). Following the 1986 joint venture between GM and Volvo, GMC ended production of the General, Astro, and Brigadier, leaving the Class 6-7 Kodiak/TopKick as the largest vehicles produced by GM. In a break from the single engine offering of the first generation Kodiak/TopKick, GMT530 adopted the powertrain line of the 1973-1989 medium-duty C/K trucks. Gasoline engines were offered as standard equipment, with diesel engines as an option. The standard gasoline engine was a 6.0L fuel-injected V8, with an optional carbureted 7.0L V8 (replaced by a 7.4L V8 in 1991
The interior is in rough shape but I like this truck. I wish I own one of these for winter.
Wow I was like in Kinder garden when this vid released
You know, even though the shape this truck is in, I'd still take this over the Wildfire :D
I like the unique gear pattern. Reverse on top of 1st, don't see many of those anymore.
That’s called a dog leg I think
wow. wouldn`t that be a nightmare to detail, lol. It would also be a work out to trim down with all the climbing in and out too, ha. Sorry Kyle , I had to laugh when you honked the horn on your way out, lol. Cool video.
Sounds like a keeper you should get it
very nice!)
This truck looks funny to hit the other cars just like in GTA4 lol xD wel.. jokes a part, i also appreciate the good job u done once again.. u give a possibility to all cars & trucks no matter if they r break or not. that's a good thing Kyle. I like the color of it 4 exmpl. and the engine is enough powerful to hit everything! ahahaha! :D
Greets.
you should do more trucks!
are you AROUND Kalamazoo, Michigan? I really like your videos!
@saabkyle04 my bad kyle =) thanks for uploading buddie...was waiting for that
one of my friends has one of these Top Kick Trucks. His has the Allison Automatic trans PS/PB Factory A/C which works, Tilt Cruise Am/FM Cassette and cloth 60/40 split seat. also has a Power drivers seat., Power mirrors. I thought it was strange someone ordered all these options but no Power Windows or Power locks. His is Flash Red.
me to I like sports cars but they are all the same but these have so many cool features and are so interesting.
My farther works at a lumber yard and they have a 1993 GMC TopKick with a Cat Engein and she is a work hose!
But with a nicer inter
I would drive it from my house in NJ to OREGON that would be fun
I like it
Oh nice
I like you horn in the end lol
The truck's horn sounds the same as the horn in my dad's 1992 Buick Century.
The sound when he pushed the clutch and brake is the electric brake booster a few of our trucks have it
LOL, you should do this reviews more often, some jukny truck and cars :-)
I just bought one of these, having an issue with the fuel pump. Do you know where the fuel pump relay is on these?
It what gives the vehicle a certain character XD
Can you tell me if the computer that controls the fuel injection is behind the glove box
This car is cool
I was waiting for you to dump the dump truck.
this looks earth-friendly (:
366 is actually the smallest of the big blocks. Shares the same stroke as a 396 and 427 but has a smaller bore.
Nice looking motor in that truck, driven a few 90's chevy trucks and vans and none of the interiors seem to last.
the horrendous noise it makes when you start it really matches the creepy vibe of the interior
@CWM880 when the engine is reving to high for a long period of time, the light will come on, kinda like driving in too low of a gear for to long, it will illuminate
the 454 was a car/pickup engine. you could get a 427 tall deck, different from the 427s in caprices, camaros and pickups. they are low revving engines that are very durable.
Does it have smart key access system? :D
No, this is the 1990's, cars, trucks, vans, and SUV's back then did not have smart keys nor push button start.
He was joking
Kipras Raskevicius Yep
CloroxBleach No it does not. Cars back then did not have smart keys nor push button start.
Matthew's Car Corner they were being sarcastic obviously
you should annotate that its a TBI engine (Throttle Body Injection). Its a fuel injection system where the fuel is injected in to the throttle body like a carb, only its electronic. GM did this quite a bit on truck motors in the early 90s
This truck custom (tuning)? Nice job.
