💚UPDATE on the plant ➡: ua-cam.com/video/XdSNKLN9gUU/v-deo.htmlsi=cwJROxLwXDW25HT0 I was incredibly sad the plant was in such a bad condition. I wish I could have saved more leaves and preserved this beautiful mature specimen. It really hurt to cut her down so radically. She is at the current moment, merely a shadow of herself. Unfortunately the state of the roots was devastating. I am incredibly thankful I was even able to find a true large form Monstera and I promise I will do my very best to give her a new breath of life in my home. I intend to grow and love her for a long time to come. Thank you for watching and being part of this experience, see u soon 💚
Definitely try a seaweed solution to help rejuvenate those poor roots & when you do repot it again a 2:1 mix of potting mix & perlite to make it a light & airy mix. I have an outdoor gigantic monstera 5m long x 2m high that I’m water propagating atm to make some new little monsteras…. such a pity I couldn’t send you 1 but as I’m in South Australia that’s sadly pretty well impossible. Really enjoyed your video & fingers xed for your plant to survive
You absolutely did the right thing cutting it down. I gree up with teo of these in my childhood home, I used to pretend it was a jungle my smurfs lived in 😂 (the 80'). They were HUGE and when we moved my mom donated them to the church because frankly that's the only place they fit 😄. I've wanted my own since then, bought a speciment probably 10y ago, and yeah... still quite small 🙄 I only recently looked into it and realiced I had a "small leaf" version, the "Monstera Borsigiana", and obviously I went on a hunt to find a true "Monstera Dedeliciosa". Hard to find... mostly found one or two leaf cuttings for 20-50€. And then... I found someone giving a way a "small" plant 😍 She thought it was sick or dying 😄 Possibly too much sudden light and for sure too small pot with no support to climb on, it look really healthy otherwise! Obviously I went to get it! 😁 That was yesterday. It's now resting in my livingroom and I'm sooooo exstatic!!! The stem is only 20cm, but it's full of leaves, 8 actually. And almost all have perforations and holes, and the true deliciosa telling of wavy knobby edges where the leafs meats the stems 😁😍🥰. I'm sooo happy 😄. My mom was a devoted plant lover and died 2018 so this brings up so many memories and emotions. ❤
A small tip: When trimming browned portions off leaves, a good idea is to leave a really thin strip of brown on the leaf so you can see if the browning got worse. It's also better because it doesn't open new wounds on the leaf.
You're right Aiden, in hindsight I should have definetly been a little bit more careful cutting those pieces off. I can see a little new yellow brown edge. I'll think of you next time I have to trim something for sure. 😊 I'ts probably way less stressful for the plant if you only cut off dead material too. Thanks for the advice 💚
Wow! What a big monster monstera! Although the roots are not great, it’s still worth it; at 15 yrs with good genes, even cuttings will be worth it. Thanks for sharing!
Totally agree Carol! That was one of my thoughts too. Even if just the top cutting keeps on growing I would be over the moon. I also would have been happy with just a cutting of this plant, but the sellers were moving house and didn't want to take the plant with them. So obviously if I can, I will take on such a giant with joy. 🥰 Always happy to hear from you 💚
This brought back some painful memories: when I lived in a WG with a huge communal space I found a 25 year old large form monstera to pick up for free. We picked it up on the other side of the country with a van. I had to move out after a while and when I came back a year later the 5 meter tall mama and all the 'small' (1 to 2m) offshoots had died back to a handful of yellow and brown leaves. A group of 10 people was unable to keep that poor baby alive. It was devastating. Especially because I didn't know about the distinction between large and small form at the time. If I had I would have taken a cutting with me on moving out, and not just the small form one from my bedroom. She's doing great now though, she just hit the ceiling last week. But I would do almost anything to sit in a chair reading a book underneath those giant leaves again.
I live in Brazil and I have several growing outside, with 90 cm leaves! I also have a Monstera deliciosa albo-variegata 2 m high, with 60 cm leaves. It's so nice to live in warm climate!

Hi Kristina, my grandma has a MASSIVE large form monstera in pristine condition, and it is over 50 years old (bought in 1971!) and it is over 4 metres tall with incredible fenestrations and perforations like yours but with less brown tips!
Why are all the comments bragging like bro, it's not even special. Sure, it's important to have fun but everyone is acting like they have a unicorn at home lol.
Fair point ^^ Although a 50 Year old plant inside a House does seem a little bit special to me at least 😁 Especially since I can't imagine ever owning a house , let alone one that is big enough for such a huge plant 😂😂😂
@neonice why be so negative? Keeping a plant that long is an achievement! And I don't see it as bragging, it's sharing plant experiences with like minded plant people. I hope in decades I still have some of my plants to "brag" about.

One thing I have learned about Moneteras, even though i haven't had one for very long, is that you give them half the water you think they need, and twice or even three times the sun you think they need.
What a lovely save. Those roots show how resilient the plant is, just making do. I am excited to see her progress. Thanks for such great videos. I just found your channel today. Yay!
I love that you found this plant, and I am extremely happy for the plant. I went to Home Depot today and walked through garden shop. I was disgusted at the treatment and shape of the plants.
Your videos are very well made. I love your personality and the humor in the editing is fun! This was a real fun video to watch. Keep at it :) I love love love your content!
Awww stop it Mara ☺️. You're to kind, it means a lot you not only like the editing but also my personality. That means so much more to me 💚 I promise I'll keep trying to make those videos as fun as possible for you 😉
I looooved this video. Last year I finally got a true large form for my collection. It is one of my favorites. You definitely have to post updates as it grows!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed Mary 😊. Updates will definitely take a while. I feel like I'm in for a long lesson on patience with this Monstera 😅. See u in the next one! 💚
The combination of compost and perlite would do wonders for water retention, but the only way to stop roots from rotting is to use an open substrate (so something like a mix of sharp grit, perlite, bark chippings and coir or compost). Is this something you considered at all? Also, a black bin bag over the entire aerial root system usually help with transpiration for stressed plants. Finally, consider a humate-based plant stress reliever tonic. They can do wonders in the short term for getting the plant back into its rhythm. Good job with a plant that size!
Listen, I know it's a large boi but my jaw still dropped at 2:24! The small form is beautiful, but doesn't even begin to compare to large form. It's unfortunate that it's not in the best condition, but I know that you can rehab it and return it to it's former glory! Congratulations on getting one of your wishlist plants!
Thaaaanks, yeah the big foliage is a showstopper & honestly in person it's even more impressive. Maybe also because I'm a small person 😅 It really was a lucky find. Now I'll have to practice a lot of patience until it hopefully starts growing again. Not exactly a strength of mine 😅 I really appreciate you always being here 💚
I was just like you hunting for that large form Monstera here in the U.S. I got lucky and found this person purging most of his plants because he’s moving out of state. He sold me his two 10gal large form for $30.I had to rehab them both too since they were grown outside the house. Both are doing well now since they both just have new leaves.
That's an amazing find 😱. I hope mine can make a such a great recovery as yours. Congrats on finding such a good deal. I think patience and then being in the right place at the right time really pays out with big finds like these 😉. Greetings from Germany 👋.
This dream plant reminds me why i grow plants! Fortunately the little plant i bought in 2018 in a small berlin nursery turned out to be a large form monstera ❤ it’s already getting huge, but nothing in comparison to your lucky find Hopefully your monstera will bounce back soon, you did a great job saving it. Can’t wait to see updates on this one 😍
That's amazing. Lucky you found a large form. Seeing it grow up from a young plant must be really rewarding 😊 updates will 100% follow. I'm really curious how long I will have to wait for a new leaf ☠️😂
"Beam work" I shall rember that wording for the next time 😅. Hi Kim, I'm so happy you liked the video and decided to stick around. Welcome to the team 😊💚
WAU - what a monstera! A large form monstera with massive leaves is also on my wishlist, so I am kind of jealous now 😍 Congratulations for getting such an old and impressive plant! You did an absolutely amazing job getting the plant back to life. When I saw the roots I gasped, it looked really, really bad. Although it will take a while to get the plant back to its full glory, you did save it and will in time have a truly fantastic plant with quite a story to go with it 😀. Thank you for the content you put out and greetings from Finland!
Hi Joanna, sorry for the tease 😅. This plant definetly deserves to be on your wishlist! I'm crossing my fingers you can find one some day 😊🤞 Hopefully in better condition then mine. The roots were reaaaaally bad. I wasn't expecting it to be THIS bad. But you're right the story is great and the project will be even more rewarding once it'll be back to full health 🥰 Greetings from Germany 👋
Yep i think all Thais are large form. Just the promise of those large leaves someday in the future makes it absolutely worth it to care for them 💚 I hope it grows fast for you 🤞😉
I have probably watched this video ten times. I love that beautiful plant and her comeback story! After hoping and wishing, I just scored a large-form Monstera on Facebook Marketplace. I'm much less nervous about how I'll repot and rehab my baby after watching your journey with yours. Thanks for sharing this experience! :)
If you want your smaller leaved monstera to become "big form," I've found they need a few things. 1. Chunky, well-draining potting soil. I added sphagnum moss and orchid bark mix to cheap/standard, run-of-the-mill potting soil. 2. Slow release granular fertilizer. I've used Espoma Plant-tone as a topper every growing season, and added Osmacote pellets to the soil when repotting. 3. Strong but mostly indirect sunlight. They can take direct sun for a few hours (if slowly and properly acclimated!). I repotted a sad looking monstera, did all of the above and it got huge in a single year outside. It's a single stem cutting, so perhaps being the only stem the plant focused growth.
Such an amazing plant and don't feel bad for chopping it - it will recover and I'm sure it is grateful for your intervention and will show that in time by growing bigger and lusher than ever before... 🥰 I'm really curious how are those cuttings doing - it's almost 2 months in, have they sprouted yet? 🤩
this is an absolute dreamplant, i hope i can find one myself some day.. am soon moving into a house.. i only got a few small monsteras but this one defintely adds all the jungle vibes
Swiffer thingy-aka used dryer sheets. I Love the Love coming from this video/informational/tutorial/historical and great character development. 😁😎🖖🏻 Danke Schoen Great editing and music too!
I gasped so hard when you were getting it propagated and the stem snapped 🙈🤣 Poor dude is a mess. You did so good at freeing those roots! They probably put sand to keep the soil from soaking up too much water? We love a supportive bf
Hallo Kristina! Ich bin Diego aus Buenos Aires, Argentinen. That plant looks amazing! You should make an update on it. Please don't give up. Once I was given a Mostera Deliciosa just like that and I didn't have enough place to plant it. (The place where I live is cold during winter but it doesn't snow). I remember throwing somewhere on my backyard a cutting whitout any leaf and 6 months later finding new growth popping out. So, yours will be a beautiful large form one! Abrazo.
I can only imagine how beautiful this plant would look outside. I'm still nursing her back to health. She has taken a pretty big hit but is fortunately still alive 🥳
I half regret getting mine. It started as a seedling. But in the tropics grew to 5 ft and spreading out in just 2 years. It is huge and does not like its pot. It grows like crazy.
Glad you enjoyed it Nicolette 💚! I think the spontaneousness helped the video a lot actually. You got to see my true real time reactions. It was such a rewarding and fun project 😁
Reminds me of my childhood ... My mother was obsessed with them, and grew so many this size.. She regularly sold them to a massive tourist glasshouse ... ...as they got so high. About 16ft tall.!! It grew in the hall , went up the stairs into the landing ( upper floor hall ). It was enormous .😳 She regularly cut them and separated them etc.. But never cut them to pieces like the video. I wish she had now. Eventually they eiher died or she gave them away . But they were hard work sometimes... ...especially repotting etc ..lol. I remember using milk to clean the leaves in the 70s.😆 Loved the video and information..thank you... Makes me inspired to buy a new one for my next house . 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Hi Morgan, wow 16 ft in a house on multiple floors, that's really just like in a conservatory 😍😍. I don't even know how one would start repotting or moving such a giant plant 😅. Thank you for sharing that story with me 😊. Do you know why you had to clean them with milk ? Was is something about pests or just to clean them? Very interesting.
@@LeafyLuster Trust me , it was a nightmare , and a familly event when it was time to repot . We all helped . 4 of us grappling with the whole thing. We repotted it where it stood , using plastic sheets to protect hall floor. Mother would tie the plant up against the stair rail for support . Then it reached the 1st floor attic door .madness! Sometimes we had to repot many in one go. They were all giants ..😳😳😆 We even had a massive round glass bottle full of plants , typical 70s. But father accidently smashed it , using the hoover to clean the hall. Oops..😆 Mother wasnt too happy, to say the least . The milk was just to clean , then leave a shine on the leaves . Its so strange , my father and I even used milk as top coat for our paintings. Nowadays , i dont know how it never went off or left a bad scent . But it worked ! This was the 70s and 80s . The plants seem to like it ...they all grew beautifully . Ahh the good old days , you cant beat them. 🥰
I commend you for taking on such a huge project. This video is a testament to the resiliency of plants. The condition of the soil was poor yet it continued to hang on. I think you did an excellent job given the size of the plant. Thank God for the beams in your flat! I can’t wait to see the progress now that your plant has a fresh start. 😅
Well said! Thank you for the kind words. The plant has taken a little downward trend but I already see a new sprout growing from the stem I cut. So it's alive 🥳. Updates will take a while though. Things are happening very slowly 😅
Such a cool video, you have a new subscriber here! Really love how excited you are for this plant, im so excited for you, good luck with that beautiful plant, can't wait for updates! ❤😀🌿
Thank you so much Jess!! I'm glad my emotions came across right. It's such an amzing project & I can't wait for new leaves as well. I'm already getting new growthpoints and the top cutting is getting it's first new leaf. I am documenting everything for a future update 😉💚
Servus! Congratulations on your monstera. My favorite plant. I am blessed to be growing mine from a cuttings of my mother’s plant. In my care for 12 years now and it’s more than 40 years old as it was in our house when I was a child. Although I grew up knowing it as a split leaf philodendron. 😂 I’m reporting myself in a couple weeks. I have 4 vines going in the current pot. One primary and three are smaller. Going to separate them and add a Thai con in the pot. I think the multi tone look will be a stunner. That leaf is gorgeous. I think yours has me by size. My latest one broke 76 cm and is still hardening off. My goal is >91cm hopefully this summer. I would keep the chonk out of the water and only put in the aerial roots. Stop it from rotting. Good growing!
Hi Richard, wow 40 years! I imagine it to be massive! I love that you took over the plant from your mother and keep growing it out yourself. Crazy how old plants can get when there is someone taking good care of them. Love that! I feel like plant names are changing constantly so maybe it'll be called something completely different in 20 years 😂. I would love to see that thai with your big monstera. I'm all for it, i bet it will look absolutely stunning once they are potted together. Thank you so much for the tip with the roots & for leaving such a sweet and thoughtful comment. See you in the next video & good luck with your plants😊🌿
As a plant friend in training I loved this video! The whole thing was just well composed, entertaining and informational. Do you have a special soil mixture for your Monsteras or in general, and where do you buy stuff in Germany?
I spent a decade in Germany and only saw the small form. Here in Australia, we basically only have the big form. It grows wild on the street and in parks. The only small-form I've seen here is the albo, and even with variegated ones, the 'Thai Constellation' (large) is more common.
Cool video, I hope your plant grows healthy! Do you know what the white spots on the stem could be at 17:05? My monstera has those as well and I am not sure if it is scale insects or growth points or some other structure... Do you have an insight that you would share? :)
Hi Julia, it's an emotional roller coaster with this plant. But it's alive and there is new growth from the stem I cut 🥳. I think the white spots are just the beginnings of aerial roots. Especially when the plant has a trellis or moss pole to climb on, it promotes more of this root growth. I see it on my monstera variegata as well. Nothing to worry about. Fortunately not scale.
Ooh that monstera is beautiful!! Shocked it had so much root rot! I think you could've saved the leggy and bare stalk by notching it near the nodes to promote new growth there. Also I've been taught a chunky mix that allows for airpockets is better than regular soil for aroids. I'm excited to see the new growth on the propagations
Hi 😊 I think you're right. I didn't even think of notching as a possibility. I just recently watched a video from @unplantparenthood about notching and thought the exact same thing. Unfortunately a little too late 😅. I use perlite and orchid bark in my soil for more airation. I Agree, it makes for better soil. 😁 I'm glad you enjoyed your time here. Updates will follow, although I fear there will be a great deal of patience involved 😅.
Hey beautiful plant! I was in receipt of a Monstera cutting about six months ago! Over the winter I did get a couple babies! Just recently, the bottom of one of the "old" stems began to turn a "brownish" color! I'm thinking my roots by be getting root rot????
Hi Marvin, sorry for the late reply. From your description I'd also guess root rot. Do you have any news on it? Did any leaves get yellow or did the stem turn squishy? I would love an update if you checked the roots yet 😁
Hahaha haven't really spent any time worrying about root virus. Did you have any experience with root virus yourself? I'm just glad I was able to get rid of all the old soil 😁. Greetings & sorry for the insanely late reply 😅
@Leafy_Luster My primary plant hobby is Bonsai. I do a lot of cuttings and try to avoid contamination whenever I can. What I've noticed is particularly vigorous plants are more prone to long term root rot. They don't outright die, they live despite waterlogged, aerobic soil. Always better be safe than risk losing a favorite plant. Great content btw, keep the fun videos coming!
hydrogen peroxide to stop root rot!! can soak the roots in a 50% water, 50% peroxide mix when removing from water logged soil. a thorough watering with this mix for a plant this size should suffice! you did great!! cutting off the yellowing leaf was a good call, this beauty will redirect that energy into root growth :)
Oh my god yes!!!! Kevin you are a genius, thank you for reminding me of the peroxide. I used to use peroxide all of the time, I just didn't think of it. I already ordered some and will definitely use it. I usually buy 3% solution and mix it half and half with water. Thank youuuu💚
Hi Ravi, thank you for being here and leaving a sweet comment 💚 So far I am still documenting the process of all the propagations. If I ever put them up for sale I will probably only sell locally. So you'd have to live near Mainz 😅
Richtig klasse Video. Bin gespannt auf ein Update 💚
My regular Soil mix is approx: Orchid bark 20% Perlite 25% Coco Coir 25% Soil from the store 25% Worm castings 5% Very much eyeballing everything 😂😂😂 And I think after I finished the video I also topped it up with another bag of Aroid mix from Sybotanica shorturl.at/grF29

Well thanks for that very important tip. Makes perfect sense 😊
Great idea!

I felt really really smart when I got that idea, sooooo thank you for saying that Lari 😂😂😂💚

I'm SUPER glad that you decided to propagate the stem after cutting it. Your flat will be full of GIANTS in no time. Great purchase and great video.
I hope so! It would be great to have a lot of baby giants 🥰 Altough they take their sweet time to grow 😅 I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Yay!
Have to say it’s my favorite plant channel;) so happy for every new episode;)
Wow, thank you! You're a sweetheart Szymon, I appreciate you being here 😊💚.
I love that you found this plant, and I am extremely happy for the plant. I went to Home Depot today and walked through garden shop. I was disgusted at the treatment and shape of the plants.
Thank you 💚.
Your right, stores sometimes treat their plants horribly.
Your videos are very well made. I love your personality and the humor in the editing is fun! This was a real fun video to watch. Keep at it :) I love love love your content!
Awww stop it Mara ☺️. You're to kind, it means a lot you not only like the editing but also my personality. That means so much more to me 💚 I promise I'll keep trying to make those videos as fun as possible for you 😉
Agree!
You did such a good job!!! It was a joy to watch!
Thank you so much Morgan, I'm glad you enjoyed 💚 I love how it turned out. It was a big but really rewarding project.
I would love to see an update of this plant 🙏
Top tip, bread knife for the big stems, with a sawing motion. (It's cleaner than an actual saw!)
Yep in hindsight I should have at least tried using a bread knife. Thanks for the great tip Sophie💚
Not exactly a strength of mine 😅
I really appreciate you always being here 💚
Wow that is a gorgeous plant you got a hold of. I love it. And you had me laughing throughout the whole video. Good job.
Thanks so much! 😊 Glad you had a good time Jackie 💚 See u in the next video 👋
THANK YOU FROM AUSTRALIA - GREAT VIDIO GREAT EXPLINATION - FUNNY HAPPY GIRL WITH HER BOY FRIEND AND PLANTS..
This dream plant reminds me why i grow plants! Fortunately the little plant i bought in 2018 in a small berlin nursery turned out to be a large form monstera ❤ it’s already getting huge, but nothing in comparison to your lucky find
Hopefully your monstera will bounce back soon, you did a great job saving it. Can’t wait to see updates on this one 😍
That's amazing. Lucky you found a large form. Seeing it grow up from a young plant must be really rewarding 😊 updates will 100% follow. I'm really curious how long I will have to wait for a new leaf ☠️😂
First video of yours and earned a subscriber. Best repot ever, so smart to suspend from beam work. Can’t wait to see updates
I also appreciate you for taking the time to write such a long and kind comment 💚
I just got a little 35cm Thai Constellation and it is supposed to be a large form, I'm so excited! Those leaves make my heart flutter
Enjoyed your video. Very informative for plant lovers. Have a blessed day.
Thank you so much 😊
If you want your smaller leaved monstera to become "big form," I've found they need a few things.
You must be really lucky with this awesome looking and helping partner.
Yes I am! I'm very lucky he tolerates my bullshit 😂
Wow. Just wow. ❤🌱❤️🌱❤️ congrats on getting the larger form and as old as it is.
Thank you Avi 💚😊 Greetings
WOW !!! Such a beautiful plant
I’m so happy for you and your plant. I remember when I wanted a plant so badly and couldn’t get it. Anyway, enjoy.
Danke Schoen
Great editing and music too!
I gasped so hard when you were getting it propagated and the stem snapped 🙈🤣
Poor dude is a mess. You did so good at freeing those roots! They probably put sand to keep the soil from soaking up too much water?
We love a supportive bf
I loved everything about this video.
Wow what a great plant find!!
I think you did a great job!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed the vid 😊
I wish I had one this big too. 🥺 Amazing plant, satisfying video. Good job! 🫶❤️
Thank you! 🤗 I'm glad you enjoyed it, see u in the next one 💚
Abrazo.
I'm excited to see an update. I got a top cutting today that I have propped into 4 pieces. Here's hoping one or two live ha
Fingers crossed! Update is out now: ua-cam.com/video/XdSNKLN9gUU/v-deo.html
It's so satisfying to watch your video
Please bring in more big leaves 🥰 and lots of plant pampering vedios
Hello from Puerto Rico!!! That monstera plant is soooo beautiful!!! Enjoy!!! 💚🐩🪴🙋🏼♀️
Hi Nina, it really is. I just hope it stays that way 😅. Sending love to Puerto Rico.
My Grandmother had one about 12 feet tall...it was a real monster. I loved it as a child.
Hi Richard, woooow 12 feet, what a giant 😍. I bet it was glorious!
Great video from beginning to end. It looked great after all the pruning.
Thank you so much, I had a lot of fun sweat and tears with the project 🥰
oh wow this monstera looks like it comes from a mother that is 50+ years old! so many midcentury homes have outdoor specimens that look just like this
I can only imagine how beautiful this plant would look outside. I'm still nursing her back to health. She has taken a pretty big hit but is fortunately still alive 🥳
Beautiful Monstera and your green home 🍀
Thank you Kjewon 💚
I half regret getting mine. It started as a seedling. But in the tropics grew to 5 ft and spreading out in just 2 years.
It is huge and does not like its pot. It grows like crazy.
HI! I enjoyed your video so much! Your commentary also made me laugh, and feel your pain during the cutting down. Am now subscribed. Thank you!
What a ride! Great video....that looked like a lot of work.
It was 😅😅😅, it was very rewarding though. Wish me luck it recovers quickly. 🤞
Cheers
Spontaneous but fun! This was great!
Glad you enjoyed it Nicolette 💚! I think the spontaneousness helped the video a lot actually. You got to see my true real time reactions. It was such a rewarding and fun project 😁
Amazing plant find!!
It really is!
It was enormous .😳
She regularly cut them and separated them etc..
But never cut them to pieces like the video.
I wish she had now.
Eventually they eiher died or she gave them away .
But they were hard work sometimes...
...especially repotting etc ..lol.
I remember using milk to clean the leaves in the 70s.😆
Loved the video and information..thank you...
@@LeafyLuster
Trust me , it was a nightmare , and a familly event when it was time to repot .
They were all giants ..😳😳😆
We even had a massive round glass bottle full of plants , typical 70s.
But father accidently smashed it , using the hoover to clean the hall. Oops..😆
Mother wasnt too happy, to say the least .
Was ein tolles video, danke!
Gerne, schön das es dir gefallen hat 😊
WOW! love your video I am going to watch it 2 👍💖
Thank you 🤗
Suprisingly high quality
Thank you, I'm putting a lot of effort in 😁
Ready beautiful leaf
Here in Colombia we can find large form monstera un every corner beautifull plant congrats
Hi Daniel, if I ever manage to visit Colombia I shall admire them all! 😁 Greetings from Germany 👋
You are so lovely to watch! Subscribed❤
Thank you so much Robin 💚!! I'm glad you had a great time here on the channel, welcome to the team 😁
Servus! Congratulations on your monstera. My favorite plant. I am blessed to be growing mine from a cuttings of my mother’s plant. In my care for 12 years now and it’s more than 40 years old as it was in our house when I was a child. Although I grew up knowing it as a split leaf philodendron. 😂
I’m reporting myself in a couple weeks.
Wow it's very nice monstera love it new friend from Manila Philippines
Thank you Marian 💚 greetings from Germany
I spent a decade in Germany and only saw the small form. Here in Australia, we basically only have the big form. It grows wild on the street and in parks. The only small-form I've seen here is the albo, and even with variegated ones, the 'Thai Constellation' (large) is more common.
You did an excellent job
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
3:24 wow i hope you get to see a tree up close one of these days. There massive.
I feel you. I'll have to travel to south america someday. It would be awesome to see one of these outside of a greenhouse 😁
It took me about four years to get mine to grow such leafs. 50 Euros is actually cheap considering you get a plant that grew for years to get there.
Updates will follow, although I fear there will be a great deal of patience involved 😅.
beautiful creature
Hey beautiful plant! I was in receipt of a Monstera cutting about six months ago! Over the winter I did get a couple babies! Just recently, the bottom of one of the "old" stems began to turn a "brownish" color! I'm thinking my roots by be getting root rot????
Hi Marvin, sorry for the late reply. From your description I'd also guess root rot. Do you have any news on it? Did any leaves get yellow or did the stem turn squishy? I would love an update if you checked the roots yet 😁
Beautiful plants❤
Thanks for visiting 💚
I would be soo paranoid that root rot virus got everywhere in the house. Good job with getting the plant nice and tidy.
Nice video I can feel yor love for this cheese plant :-)
Indoor plants need a lot of light. Please remember to provide it to your new baby!
hydrogen peroxide to stop root rot!! can soak the roots in a 50% water, 50% peroxide mix when removing from water logged soil. a thorough watering with this mix for a plant this size should suffice! you did great!! cutting off the yellowing leaf was a good call, this beauty will redirect that energy into root growth :)
Is there an update video?
You did an incredible job trying to save her. She was in very challenging shape. Poor thing.
Hi, I love the plant its absolutely wonderful!! I too am in Germany and would love to have a cutting if possible!!
Hi Ravi, thank you for being here and leaving a sweet comment 💚 So far I am still documenting the process of all the propagations. If I ever put them up for sale I will probably only sell locally. So you'd have to live near Mainz 😅
Kristina, it would be nice to get an update on your beautiful Monstera ❤
It's coming today 😉
Oof!! The cutting sound effects are hilarious 😂 10/10 will recommend
Hahaha thank you Christopher 😁. I'm glad you can enjoy my editing genius 😂😂😂. See you in the next video!
i loved that u were swearing in the video shows ur real i subbed as well
Haha, hi Joel. It was such a emotional an wild situation, I just couldn't help it 😅. I'm glad you liked the video, welcome to the channel 👋😊
Wow..I wish I can have one part of it.....if possible please
Looks good
Loved the video great work! I think you’re funny
Thank you!! 😁 Glad you enjoyed the video 💚
Richtig klasse Video. Bin gespannt auf ein Update 💚
What soil ratio did you use?
My regular Soil mix is approx:
Orchid bark 20%
Perlite 25%
Coco Coir 25%
Soil from the store 25%
Worm castings 5%
Very much eyeballing everything 😂😂😂 And I think after I finished the video I also topped it up with another bag of Aroid mix from Sybotanica shorturl.at/grF29
