Funny thing is the front end of the concept looks like the rolls Royce suv 🤔 lol
you tell that to Tom Kearns. he'll be disappointed.
i love concept more than the real one
I do to! I wish I could ask them why they changed it!
Love hearing from team that brought Telluride to life.
Kia was like "this concept is too futuristic for you peasants in 2019". Maybe 10yrs from now.
I too think like this as well
concept car design seem so good
Love the inside view of the industrial design process (concept drawings) and hearing from the designers (most of which went to "Art Center" in LA). Excellent video.
Awesome! Glad you and most of the other subscribers seemed to enjoy this type of content!
You two get better and better with each video. Really informative and again, I'm sure you had a heck of a lot of fun on this tour! 👍👍
Thanks so much!
What an awesome story of the Kia Telluride. I'm super happy you guys got the opportunity to see how the vehicle is produced and tested. I have to say Drew and Mason, Kia has come a long way over the past few years, especially with products like the Telluride, Stinger, and K900. I can't wait for the next-gen Kia Optima as well. Fantastic work, and keep the engines moving and grooving.
Yes, very excited for the new Optima and Sorento! Have a great Sunday!
@@CarConfections Thank you. I'm traveling to Universal Studios in Fl9rida today.
A great video with a lot of interesting information guys!
I enjoyed the Kia story!!! I know y’all enjoyed touring the Kia Factory, that was so fun and amazing, I learned a lot of suff in the Kia story’s!! I would love to tour the Tesla Factory! Awesome job guys!!!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the series!
Car Confections y’all are so welcome!!!!
Howdy, awesome video as always! I honestly like the production version better than the concept.😸😻😸
Prototype looks much better than the production car in my opinion.
What a fantastic episode, Car Confections. Thank you for including it in the Telluride series. I really enjoyed this, especially the Harman International segment (H.I. is owned by Samsung Electronics). That bit was most enlightening with the behind the scenes you were allowed to capture. It's nice to see they haven't become lazy with the science of sound & engineering, especially in the hard to work with environment of automobiles. Samsung is to be thanked here, they have the funds to keep it top shelf.
Do go to or seek out as much as these kinds of one-on-one interactions/meet ups as you can and present them into your channel's forward vision. This series already stands out from most of the other review channels of same genre on UA-cam. Well done indeed.
That's very kind of you to say! We definitely enjoyed delivering this type of content, so we are very happy that there was a positive reaction to it here! 😀
Awesome series and thank you, Mason and Drew for putting that together and sharing it with us!! Hopefully, you will get more opportunities to visit more manufacturers and get to do these trips more often!! I definitely learned a few things about Kia and what goes into producing a new vehicle! Great job!!
Thanks so much! 😀
Damn the concept looks like the cullinan outside lol. This almost kills the production model for me. I'm sitting here like, "wtf happened????" Then he talks about having to be restricted to a platform. Bummer ):
Why is so hard to get a beautiful concept into production 😭
Love the look of the Prototype
This was a fascinating series!!! I’m happy for y’all!🔥👊🏿

Thanks so much! We enjoyed filming it so we're glad you enjoyed watching!
The concept Looks soo much better
I love concept!!
Wow that’s a unique looking prototype. This is a really cool and very intriguing video, thank you guys for making it.
Thanks as always, Jordan!
Telluride amazing product on the market.
Concept model Gorgeous 👌🏼🥇🏆
Producción style on the roads is pretty 🤩
They could be have gave us the dash and front grill man. Looks amazing
Like with all concepts, presented they are put on stage balls-out bold and invigorating. And when it comes to production, they basically cut the balls off.
I own a 2021 telluride sx in wolf gray with nightfall. I love it as much as my Porsche
You should review the new refreshed 2020 Honda CR-V as well as reviewing the new hybrid model and recomparing the Rav4
We are planning on it as soon as it gets to dealerships!
I would have liked it if they kept the dual exhaust...one on each side.
The concept makes the production model look like an epic fail. The only aspect of the concept that I think is worse than production is the chrome rims and the rear taillights. Of course the interior doesn't count, but the concept steering wheel is nicer too. That concept will never see the light of a production day, but it's a far better visual design than what made the cut.
Car Confections + ABSOLUTELY AMAZING that you got address to this and to have them side-by-side. I’m hoping by Kia Motor Group granting the media access to the concept they are fully validating the process that brought this homerun to market and are re-thinking what other elements could still be brought to market.
I would love to see the “GLASS CUBE” integrated headlights and fog lights make it to market like they did in the Mohave Master. I love the design of the Telluride but the fog lights seems like an after-thought and one of the weakest elements.
Thanks! It was an awesome experience seeing them side-by-side! 😀
Concept model is luxurious and sporty. I think it costed them more money vs competition. I hope Kia come up with that concept model soon.
Hopefully you see this, and maybe an odd request, but the Telluride community is frustrated about this. Do you have a contact that you can let know of an issue we have? Kia customer care gives a hundred different answers. On LX and S models, when you turn the vehicle off and let it sit for a while, the rear climate control resets. Every time you start the vehicle, the rear AC turns on. Even in 30° cold weather. The rear climate control won’t stay at your last setting, even if you had it off.
Atleast the concept grill didn't go to waste.. seems to have been used for the new Nightfall editions
Production car looks much better.
It is a very nice car, I do like the concept better. Also they should make the exhaust on the back on each side like most cars are. And when there’s a lot of passengers make sure that the car doesn’t drop. It should sit at the same level no matter how heavy it is. It looks like it’s slanted sometimes.
The concept has some little rolls Royce suv elements
Hello sir.Drew.and tho both of you car Confections Wowww what another.exciting video. Pretty. Nice KIA Telluride concept event so amazing concept designs roofing anf a lot of designs that we made for new generation design cars, thank u so much for your nice tour video presentation sir Drew Car confections.have a great weekend godbless u all.from.your solid fan viewer supporter from.the Philippines. Sir vhin.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🚓🚙🚗🚐👍👍👍👍👍☺😇😇😇😇
Right when I thought ths Telluride design team did well on the production model. Then the concept popped. That looks fabulous. But the headlights housing thou. Too retro in my opinion. Great LEDs thou.
where did you get the concept car?
Kia Motors America made it available to us at their research facility in California
Side and rear are pretty close to concept, but the front departed from it, perhaps next gen with some electrification.
I wish these had a V8, height adjustable, 4 corner air suspension, and a 4WD transfer case that had 4 options (RWD - AWD - 4H - 4L), and more ground clearance. However, Kia claims they are designing a full-size SUV that they say will emulate the aesthetics of the Telluride, but will be more comparable to a Tahoe, Expedition, and Wagoneer. So, I bet it will have all of those features I wish the Telluride had.
Looks like Kia made a copy of the Rolls Royce Cullinan at 1/10 the price
KHLegend thats why they delete that headlights in the prodcution model to prevent to be lime chinese.Too copy cat
Tell them they made a mistake not making the top of the line available in 8 passenger configurations. I am literally being forced to purchase a Honda pilot so I can get 8 seats.
Concept is like “I am from year 2029”
Telluride concept looks like they were thinking of using a rear-wheel drive architecture.
I think they did right. It would have competed with the GV80 which is my favorite out of the Kia/Hyundai/Genesis family
Production version is nicer
Why you guys don't keep them wide tires the same from the concept to the production version alway the concept is sexyer wider better look than the production!!! I really don't get!!
It could pass as a 2010 Kia Telluride
Bruh they should have stuck with the concept design in terms of the front facia like littarly with the square head lights on the concept it makes look super tough now the front end looks more family friendly which is doodoo id your buying an suv its gotta look tough (like the concept version)
The production model could’ve at least got that gorgeous steering wheel. The one in the production model is hideous.
Concept model had better headlights
You must be young, recessed HEADLIGHTS like that were done 30 years ago. But they say things come back in style decades later, probably because the young have never seen it and think ITS NEW!!
No is because it looks like a rolls Royce or Chrysler 300
Should have kept the front end 😔
The big mistake and disappointing about this large SUV, it's an FWD platform.
Ford did the right decision by making the new 2020 Explorer an RWD SUV.
Thanks.
Production looks so budget-inn and cheap compared to the concept. The concept really exposes how much they’ve “copy paste” from other manufactures too.
First
13 speaker brands and they are all the same.
IF YOU BLACK OUt ALL THE CHROME AND CHANGe THE WHEELS iLL TAKE THE VEHICLE ON THE LEFT LOOKS NICE...
The Kia concept looks more like the Genesis GV80....
THEYS SELL MORE BY PRODUCING THE CONCEPT VERSION WHICH IS EXTERMELY MORE ATTRACTIVE
That concept should be made into a full size suv. Just fix the interior a little looks too soul less
Sorry Kia Telluride I’m getting a new Land Rover Defender because we already have enough Kia’s in this world.
Lol, you're not getting either.
The front on the concept is SO SEXY. KIA screwed that all up looks like shit on the production one will not buy,
the concept front end is way better than the production... production telluride looks like a damn insect...bug...
