Kia Telluride models
The 2020 Kia Telluride is a midsize SUV with seating for seven or eight passengers. Under the hood is a 3.8-liter V6 (291 horsepower, 262 lb-ft of torque) that is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available as an option. There are four trim levels: LX, S, EX, and SX.
Kia Telluride SX
At the top of the list is the SX trim. This Telluride has all of the above plus LED headlights and foglights, dual sunroofs, front parking sensors, an upgraded driver information display, interior ambient lighting, driver-seat memory functions, the second-row captain's chairs, a surround-view parking camera system, and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound system. It also receives a blind-spot camera system, automatic high beams and a low-level automated highway driving system.
Kia Telluride SX
An optional 5,000-pound towing capacity tow package with a self-leveling suspension is available for EX and SX trims. The SX with AWD is eligible for the Prestige package, which brings premium leather, a head-up display, heated and ventilated second-row seats, automatic wipers, a household power outlet, and a heated steering wheel.

Please don't do this at home!
Snow and Lock mode or its useless
Did you have proper tires ? those tires don't look to much off-road to me, usually the tires that comes from the factory, are not made for off-road.
@@stockey the tires look bald and their new
My home cannot fit a truck inside living room.
Maybe you should try Mercedes 4Matic, it's smooth
I have to say since your video they have come out with a lift for the vehicle I just installed the 2" lift on mine and 2.25 in the rear because it has the toe package I am located in the States. I also have 2 sets of tires 1st set toyo at3 and 2nd set Hakkapleliitta R3 SUV.
Both sets are factory size when we had snow of course it is not like we're at the vehicle did incredible looking forward to having more fun and now that it has the lift and I have these dedicated tires good video.
If a Canadian says it's good in snow that's the best certification you can get.
What about Germany
@@tasalandscapewastemanageme3193 Need to take a discount Germany seeing how they performed in Russia. I would say Fins would give the best cert.
@@tasalandscapewastemanageme3193 yea but canada is worst
@@tasalandscapewastemanageme3193 Germany if he says it's fast then it's a porche I fell jealous for that AUTOBAHN
Or Minnesotan
I own a Kia Sorento, built on the same plaform and with the with the same AWD system as the Telluride. Living in the (US) Pacific Northwest on an island in the Puget Sound, we typically get occasional winter snows but unless we take trips to the Cascades winter tires are almost never required. Last winter, though, we were hit by the heaviest snow in 40 years. Nearly a foot of snow on my very long (thousand ft) ) steep driveway with a 90 degree curve near the top. My neighbors left their SUV's on the road at the bottom of our hill. My Sorento with All Season tires and the same 50/50 front/rear locking feature as the Telluride climbed and descended the driveway with no problems, whatsoever. True winter tires would have made it even easier, of course, but I was blown away by the Sorento's performance.
Would I take my Sorento to truly challenging, snow covered off-road environments? No. If my winter driving was typically challenging would I add winter tires? Of course. But my experience suggests the AWD system shared by the Sorento and the Telluride is an impressive feature even without the additional capabilities provided by winter tires.
Stephen Hendricks I’m not positive but when watching diagonal tests of AWD of sorento and Telluride, it appears the Sorento’s is way better as it’s Dynamax and not in house like Telluride’s but again, not positive.
Wow I'm sold definitely getting a Telluride prestige
I am impressed. That thing can plow through no problem. Awesome video man. Good on Kia!
Me too
I have the SXP Limited and LOVE it..handled very well in the snow and slush.
Impressive snow handling. How's it mechanicaly? Still going strong?
@@SamCarLegion My EX awd needs the valve cover gaskets replaced due to oil leak
@@SamCarLegion No issues thus far.
I was not aware Google sells mittens. Telluride is on order. Thanks for the video!
Looks like it's more than capable in the snow. Thanks for sharing! :)
3:13 that's impressive. 35 degree angle?
The AWD helps...but the snow tires are what truly made the difference.
50/50 i would say
That thing owned in unplowed snow and climbed that incline. Sold!
My telluride has definitely put snow driving faith in me!
impressive, with a set of more aggressive tires, this thing can handle snow no problem
Snow mode gonna come in handy here in South Florida lol
You should have tried with summer tires lol. That's where awd system can be seen. Uphill surprised me.
LOVE THE STEAM POURING OUT OF THAT BEAUTIFUL SALTY TAILPIPE SO CUTE
Wow~~~that's great.
How would this do on snow and mountain trails compared to my 2002 4x4 Escape?
love this car!
Looks like the same SX trim they sell in the US? Also, Telluride looks a bit short on ground clearance. I would imagine some deeper so and this thing would bottom out.
How do you find the telluride & cold starting when it’s super cold outside -30C?? Great review!
I would like to see a FWD Telluride vs AWD Telluride fitted with the same winter tyres ofcourse.
How is this different from the SX that they sell here in the US?
Can you try the Palisade as well?
I own the same car.
I tried it in the desert.
In Dubai
A really strong car.
Winter tires defo helped but a bad transmission wont change it great video
Tellaride ftw!
The snow tires make all the difference. Do one with the factory installed all seasons and see what it can or can't do in the same situation - please. Most of us don't have a set of snow tires.
great point!
Agree! I think it’s so so with factory tires. I love this vehicle to death, but not sure about the issues I’ve had in the snow. I’m leasing and don’t want to buy snow tires since I’m halfway through.
Incredible video. This is KIA telling other car companies to start taking them seriously. Their designs and quality is beating all of them.
Trash should of gotten the Subaru
Can these oversteer in the snow? If you wanted to power slide?
So Palisade will have the same result right?
is this with AWD option?
I own a telluride and this is an ‘ok’ test. Certainly not enough snow to worry about. Spinning on grass more than anything. Lets do a test here in NL.
I was thinking the same thing. I was not impressed.
Winter test
Ok what's with these tests. Take the thing to a mountain ski resort where its snowed its snow is measured in feet. Can it handle driving the Banff- Jasper parkway) Hiway 93),after a major snow storm, lets get real here. I took my Sportage on day one out there, with new studded tires and it felt safe. How do these big beasts handle reality?
We have the SX in the US.
Thats my car I buying this one in the future oh yes
I wish it had 4 corner air suspension, turbos, dual side exit exhaust.
Hey Sam do you own a Kia dealership and where is it located
Planning to purchase the Telluride in the summer Thanks Gerardo
No I don't own any dealership.
If you live in Ontario Canada, I can help you out.
Just hate how it’s mainly the front wheels spinning and not 50/50 lock as it’s a FWD based AWD system
It's also because most of the weight is in the front for better grip.
If these had adjustable air suspension I would buy one tomorrow.
Scott Warren you can’t. It is already sold out
In the same conditions, if this car had 18 inch wheels and some All Terrain tires it would have no problem with this area at all.
I live in Upstate NY where the snow is plentiful especially in Jan and Feb. We’ve recently had a few snowstorms (today there was). I find with the factory tires if just in Snow mode this thing slides at lights even when approaching slowly. It’s way worse than my Toyota minivans ever were. I have to downshift to stop completely without sliding. That was without the 4 wheel lock on. I’ve never had that feature although I occasionally drive my husband’s 4 Runner and Jeep Cherokee which does so I’m familiar with it. I put on the lock today going home from work as there were many inches of accumulation. It definitely helped but I still feel like I have to drive more slowly than I did in my van. I guess I need to get used to it. It’s a lease so I don’t think I’ll be getting snow tires. I normally LOVE this vehicle, but I wouldn’t rate it’s snow performance the best ever.
POV walk around of the L.A Auto Show on my channel. No commentary, no music, just first person view walk👍
Why don't you have the Black SX wheels?
Maybe Canada’s is different than US.
@@maxhr1749 yea I found out after this that they have different packages in the US and Canada and wheels are a part of that
I am also wondering if the car in this video is equipped with the winter tires? There are no much snow stuck on the tires, so i suspect they are season tires.
All season I believe
LED running light should be white
Is this model the FWD or AWD.
Thank you
Awd
@@SamCarLegion Thank you. We are in AZ and have snow but not like other areas and we are thinking we will go with the FWD. I've been doing my homework lol and the Telluride is my pick.
Thank you for your video.
Snow tires help
Hyundai Htrac is better than ordinary AWD system
Kia, telluride
We just ordered a 2021 Kia Telluride today a at local dealership and we PAID STICKER. Every other dealership was ask 6-7k over and people were standing in line to buy them at those dealership. The dealership where we bought ours also add a lifetime warranty on the Telluride for NO CHARGE. The only bad thing is a four to six month wait when you order it.
Corwin Kia, Springfield, MO check them out for yourself. Talk to Tater yes Tater and Tell them Mark and Dardi sent you. But if you don’t want to then don’t we are not getting any special deal if you do use our name. I told tater I was going to spread the word and I want him to know I did. You just pay Sticker.I want them to get your business because they say we are going to be fair to are customers. Where the next closes dealership with it higher sticker price had a rep from Kia who told us that all local dealers are asking above sticker and people are paying it but he did not mention Corwin Kia.
Didn't look that impressive to me. I didn't see the any transfer of power to another tire when one was spinning. It just seemed to keep on spinning until they slowed down the engine and it grabbed.
I think you works for kia . Wow 1 inch snow , with my Suzuki Grand Vitara i beat your kia .
Your Mom called............................................... she wants her mittens back.
Lol my prius can even drive in that snow up and down. Please bring it to more obstacles
기아자동차
베리베리 굿 이라는거죠?
This is fucking amazing 4 wheel ass😅
I’ve driven through deeper snow with my bicycle
This one or accura mdx ?
Acura
@@SamCarLegion i think i should ask telluride or palisade ?
Nice gloves lol crab man
Looks amazing but totally worthless as an AWD or 4x4. This doesn't even have 4 low gearing...or downhill decent assist so you are dead coming down a steep hill on ice and snow... so don't think about driving this to ski resort in a real storm. Believe me I live on a mountain peak and 4 low has saved my life endless times. At least the palisade, pathfinder, forerunner, Taureg, etc. have either low gearing or downhill decent assist control. But most people see AWD and think they are good to go... but they are clueless. This is a beautiful vehicle though if you are just looking for a city street SUV that looks cool and runs well...
The 23 I have has a fully locking diff and hill descent control the auto engages based on decline / incline. They have come a long way.
@@randysanchez1028 awesome to hear. They must have gotten a bad rap from people who need a real 4x4 and added this then. I think they are very good looking SUVs... I'd definitely consider a 23 or newer as an option for my next 4x4 vehicle then. I can't live without those features where I live high in the mountains and for hunting expeditions, etc. Thanks...
virgin snow would have proven something. following someone else's tracks, not so much.
This isn't someone else's track, our tracks. Did one test to make sure it wasn't wet since there's is grass underneath.
Kia telluride 33 lakh in india please
Snow and lock mode or its useless
Yep
Not impressed. Any 4 wheel drive truck/SUV can do that in 2" snow.
i think my Accord on snow tires would do better
Can cut 90% of this video
You may have the wrong tires to do this video. I have one Telluride and it will be a joke to me doing the same thing you have done. Even a FWD can do this with good tires.
Unpleasant experience, please go deep into the snow
All Carolina is trash mostly the telluride is just a van on very good body piece of crap engine is trash and they don't even offer you skid plate or splash cards and Kia dealership and service department cheater and thief
complete useless video as 95% of people would not buy winter tires.
THIS VEHICLE IS NOT GOOD FOR FAMILY ITS MY OPINION
An 8 seater not good for family? Hmmm. Why?
