I replaced the center axle disconnect gasket and didn't lose much oil. Do I use this same fill hole to refill the lost oil from when I re0laced that disconnect gasket?
It’s simple. Unscrew that bolt orrrr “plug” if your dodge diffs have that. Stick your finger it in and if you feel fluid then your good. If you feel a lot of fluid on your finger then stick that plug back in immediately because you are GOOD. If you feel little or no fluid add it. Easy. Rear diff is an also simple thing to change fluid on. Front diff is a pain in the ass cause there’s stuff around it making it annoying. In fact I have to fricken go outside in a little bit now to change my 03 1500s front diff fluid. I got the Rear done early this week
That is the rear diff... Look at the vid closely and you can see the front wheels and diff in the background... Front duff has more stuff in the way...bit as easy as doing the rear..

Do i need a gasket or just some gasket maker on when i re install it
You should’ve taken the cover off and cleaned the inside out and filled it up with new oil

Yes
I was told to use 75w140 for front and 80w90 for the rear but on 75w140 on the rear for heavy towing. Which is it?
+B E A local mechanic or the dealer may be able to tell you. We would recommend only using the fluid indicated in the owners manual.

That sure looks like the REAR diff to me.
