Hey thanks for the tips This setup makes so much sense (main skill on square instead of x) Trying to move from my potato pc to ps5 and controller is the only issue Definitely will try these
You're welcome! glad it was helpful - moving to controller can definitely be a big change. Fingers crossed the controller experience is better in POE2. Thanks for watching :)
I use X for movement skills, square for my main skill, triangle for curses (if I don't have something to cast them for me) or other AOE abilities, and circle for buffs/warcries. My secondary bar has my passives, like my auras and permanent summons so that I don't have to think about them too much, or accidentally deactivate them. I usually like to use Blasphemy Support for my curses so that I don't have to keep recasting when mobbing. I'm not a giga Chad, so I can sacrifice some DPS for comfort lol. Just a personal preference.
@@fibreglasscannon7518 I wasn't implying that it was better or anything 😅. It was honestly refreshing to see someone make a video on the console version, especially with regards to button mapping. Flasks are still kind of a sore topic though lol. Thanks for the engagement!
I highly HIGHLY recommend getting a controller that has paddles on the back (Xbox Elite or Scuf). You can map the flasks to the paddles and it is the great QoL you could ask for. I agree with everything else you said tho.
Playing on PS5 and I have no idea why they built in an entirely second hot bar with no way to bind keys to it. L2 + R2 anyone? It's just sitting there EMPTY. Meanwhile I can only have 12 skills for my SUMMONER BUILD.
Hey! That L2+R2 was put in purely for league mechanic keybinds (sentinels etc). I really wish they would active that as a hot bar we can use for skills. Thanks for watching!
Hey - hope you found out, I've been a bit behind on the comments! Anyway if you still need: 1. Go to main menu, navigate to the Skills tab 2. Scroll to the skill you want to bind 3. Click the right joystick to open the binding menu 4. Bind the skill to the slot you want using X (PS controller)
If your using a standard ps4 dualshock controller you can go into the accessibility menu on ps4 and change the buttons there, change your triangle, circle, x and square to the triggers and bumpers, then you can use L3 and R3 as either ability menu swap, or heals etc. Takes a min to get used to but works well and you can turn it off/on when you stop playing poe, when you turn it back on it will have what you changed it to saved.
i want to get back into poe. i think about buying a new pc or a xbox. obviously a pc is more expensive, but i want to have a decent experience if i would choose the xbox option. mapping is one thing, but what is going on with the inventory management? also, i heard buying and selling is really bad... selling and buying items is a big part of poe for me. does is even work on console?
Man i play on PlayStation and i just want the best console builds list because i really enjoy the game but after a certain point it's just a struggle and i gotta make a new character i need more 2-3 button builds😢
Just uploaded a new video :) check that out for some of my favs and to give some ideas. Have just been trying to improve my setup and video style. Thanks for watching!
Pretty much everything is workable for sure; I think some skills just lean towards controller binds a bit better. I'll start making videos again soon just changing up my set up :)
All great but Xbox elite series controller kills any build put all flasks on padles/bumpers and can use 5 flasks at same time but elite breaks easy with to much gameplay went thru 3 controllers so far hopefully there 3rd iteration is better
Another tip for anyone using molten shell or anything like that. Cast when damage taken is a godsent for xbox leave CWDT level 1-5 depending on the map/boss and the molten shell level 10 easy prots.
Thx for watching! I think most console players play like this, but if you came from PC (like me) and never play console the controller can feel very weird.
Have definitely considered it - I always randomly click things or enter a harvest when I dont mean to :P I just really like the X bind for a skill so will have to put up with the annoyance haha. Thanks for watching!
Underrated video very good upload. , i love the fact that you described having a stright tumb on skills you use often.
Glad you liked it!
Great guide. Just bought Nintendo Switch Pro controller. Can't wait to try.
Glad to hear! hope it feels smooth for you :)

I think you got something here man. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this. I'm coming from PC and it's been a tough adjustment!
No probs, can feel very weird at the start for sure but it will get better. Hope u have fun!

As long as it's comfy and works for you thats all that matters! Thx for watching

Still waiting for the follow up video lol Thanks for this one.
No worries, thanks for watching! Thinking of making more vids soon, just changing my set up :)

Paddles are a game changer for sure. Thanks for watching!
I learned this while getting a new controller for FFXIV last year, paddles are amazing!!
How to bind buttons on controller ? I try figure it out but i cant :(
Great tips
I'm trying new ways to play PoE because my fingers are getting hurt
Thanks, glad it has helped. Thx for watching!

This is great but how do you actually map the attack to the button

Definitely an option, I never thought of using the accessibility am sure some people would really like that. Thanks for watching

I have played Xbox poe for a few years and Xbox is the cheaper route but the trade is way smaller vs PC meaning people to trade with
Thanks

I cannot stand any skills on my looting button.
Would like to see that video about skills/builds good for consoles
Any PC build works for console. Minions are easy, Toxic Rain builds are easy, cyclone is stupid easy, etc.
Me too

Very true, bumpers are a game changer!
Anyone know how to turn off the “gem auto-level” on PS?
When you select the gem there should be an option for auto level - from memory I think it is triangle.
Another tip for anyone using molten shell or anything like that. Cast when damage taken is a godsent for xbox leave CWDT level 1-5 depending on the map/boss and the molten shell level 10 easy prots.
Very true and a great tip. I also do that with skills that do damage to yourself for perma uptime.
PLEASE COME BACK AND DO the second video. I am STRUGGLING on mapping on console I’m close to quitting.
Watching this was like listening to a 5yr old tell a story. Everyone plays like this sir…
Thx for watching! I think most console players play like this, but if you came from PC (like me) and never play console the controller can feel very weird.
Should take x off complete so your not attackiny shit while trying to pick up shit😂😂
