I was an Irish dancer for 9 years and 100% of what she says is true lmao! I tried other sports and was like, "You want me to do WHAT with my arms now?!" I'm dying omg x'D
Jedi Spock - It always cracks me up at how insecure Office fans are over Parks and Rec. Don't worry, just because Parks and Rec is a great, great show doesn't mean your precious little show isn't good too. I have a feeling that you're one of the many that watch 1 or 2 episodes from season 1 of Parks and Rec and then go around telling everybody that it sucks.
This is so relatable. I was a theatre major, I’m pretty much strictly an actor and they constantly forced me to do musicals and stuff and I always wanted to cry having to do it in front of people.
I just discovered this actress for the first time and watched several of her interviews on UA-cam. I gotta admit, she got me laughing; I don't know how I missed seeing her the past few years.
It's more like it starts as comedy in her mind, is filtered through her dry tone and body language to become awkward, then I suppose Conan turns it back into comedy.
i have described her as a "bucket of buttered popcorn" ...... it gets better as you get deeper into it, and when you get to the bottom, it leaves you wanting more!
That annoys the hole off me. I'm sick of hearing Americans claiming to be Irish, Scottish, German ect, when they were born and raised in America, and their most recent ancestors are from around 200 years ago. Where you were born is where you are from. This is coming from a European, be proud to be an American.
Any time people ask me that hypothetical question "If you were trapped on a deserted island with only one woman who would she be." I always think of Aubrey Plaza because yes we will starve and die of exposure but at least I'll be laughing myself stupid and forget about my impending doom. Then I usually answer "I don't know" because honestly Aubrey doesn't deserve to die telling me jokes in some hypothetical deserted island scenario. Even if it is imaginary. But seriously, she is one of the funniest people in showbiz and always entertaining. Massive respect for her and her craft.
Oh my goodness...i've been watching Aubrey Plaza's interviews and funny moments for 1 week already.😂 guess I'm fan of her now. solid quarantine experience.
QUESTION: She had a stroke. I want to know if being forgetful and awkward with emotions and such, came about AFTER the stroke? I had a stroke after surgery 2 years ago and I've never been the same. I have this feeling of terrible apathy and numbness and I am depressed. Emotionless almost on the outside and blank feeling. I actually didn't think of it as an idea that it could have come from that, until I just watched this. I didn't find out I had a stroke in surgery until about 6 months ago. The surgery was 2 years ago but the surgeon and staff never told me. I woke up from surgery saying my left side of my body was almost numb and my eye was droopy. They didn't really comment on it and just wheeled me upstairs for my one night in recovery. The next day the numbness was gone and such and I just went on with life. It wasn't til 6 months ago when i was at a different hospital that they told me they see in my medical file that I had a stroke at somepoint in that surgery. They said the doctor noted that patients symptoms have resolved on their own. I'm so pissed bc they didn't ever tell me I had a stroke! I'm left not knowing what to do. I have never felt the same mentally and emotionally but didn't put to and two together. I don't know where to go or what to do and and I'm so depressed and emotionally flat to even look. Writing this took a ton of effort and "push."
Saw Riverdance for the first time this year..LITERALLY the best show of its kind I have ever seen! Go see them and you'll see that a lot of their faces and straight and focused.
Her mood is me Also, one day,i was in my taekwondo class and the teacher was demonstrating some kicks. Our face had to be with no expression in a way.Me along with an other girl were doing these kicks and the teacher was like "Look,do it like Mihaela, with no expression in your faces" and my inner me was like "This is my regular face"
She'd mentioned it before (I think it may have even been on Conan, but maybe a podcast or something) but I doubt it's something she constantly has in the back of her mind. I'm sure she just then realized that the training involved with Irish dance may have something to do with her dancing now! But I'm curious about the effects of the stroke too.
160p2GHz I think you're right! I read somewhere else that the right side of her body is still a little weaker than the left and if she's writing but not concentrating, she sometimes forgets letters or words. But I think the latter is probably more due to the fact that the clot was in her language/communication center rather than a memory issue.
in the "musical number" with Anna, Adam and Zack (from "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates"), the four "Dirty Dance" to Montell Jordan's "This Is How We Do It", just before the disastrous fireworks go off, near the end of the movie. I felt that Aubrey did a fantastic job with the scene, which started with her "stripping" off the skirt portion of her outfit, revealing a side of her character "Tatiana" which the assembled guests were unaware of..... Earlier in the film, Tatiana throws herself into oncoming traffic in order to have the brothers (Mike, in this case) come to her rescue - then we find out later in the movie that Tatiana and Alice (Anna's character) used to race ATVs competitively at Baja... Leaving the brothers out loud wondering "WHO ARE THESE GIRLS".....and then that earlier scene completely made sense!
Wow, that's was very interesting fact that Aubrey is a competitive riverdancer(I would like to see her in action). I love shows "Riverdance" and "Lord of the Dance" very match(Michael Flatley is insane!).
that's one of the reasons I'm very uncomfortable dancing. I've only ever done Irish dancing from ages 5 through 18, so I can't do anything well that's not choreographed or that requires swaying of hips or arms.

I'm there every Monday!
Conan is legit the only talk show host that can handle her
Kelly Jellybean Colbert too!
you forgot sean evans lol
What's not "to handle" about her? She is so mediocre and mundane that she makes Conan look like a psychopath.
@@Felis-Concolor what are you on about. She's so good at playing a Confidentally awkward character that people can't tell when she's joking.
@@tomvbolger yeah, shes totally the next Andy Kaufman.

kinda like how Ryan Reynolds is always in character of Ryan Reynolds.
Best way to protect your private life when u are a public person getting alot of attention from media, is to constantly be in character^^
her dress and hair makes her look like she came from the 1920s
She looks like buttercup from The Powerpuff Girls.
+mirukaze That's messed up but, very true.
+Deathpool 113 because of the dress and hair.
She can pull it off though. It works for her.
+Overhead4477 Exactly. My comment was viewed negatively. It looks good on her.
why she look like that green powerpuff girl???
I was thinking Betty Boop, but powerpuff might be more accurate.

She's not attractive, so it's def. her talent that gave her a chance in Hollywood.
After looking at her outfit I couldn't help but wonder what a live action power puff girls movie would look like if Michael Bay directed it.
OMG She would be the perfect Buttercup
+maroonoasis she's gonna be cynical after she's done with her teenage years

Wow I think this is the most genuine interview she's ever done on the late night shows. It was refreshing!
As an Irish dancer I can confirm that this is 100% true and when my pe teacher made me dance I kept forgetting that I had to use my arms 😂
I'm from a country far away from US. Haven't seen any of her movies, but I'm binge watching her interviews, for no known reason.
