Can we just take a moment of silence to thank Aubrey Plaza's parents. Humor like this doesn't just pop up out of a non-funny family. I bet her mother and father either are super quick and clever or really appreciate humor. And also, thank you for passing down and mixing your genes. It worked.

I'm not Aubrey-level but I'm the only funny one in my family. It comes from being smart and quick-witted, and you can absolutely learn it from movies, stand-up, even your funny friends.
Her dad's Puerto Rican and her mom's Irish so there probably was humor in the house. Fun fact: her parents had her when they were 19 and 20 and were constantly working to make ends meet so they might not have spent too much time together when she was a kid, especially given how active she was in theater, improv, film school camps, and other organizations in and out of Delaware.

Aubrey and Conan is a perfect comedy duo. 🤣
For whatever reason, Aubrey decided a long time ago that presenting herself as this crazy, utterly unstable yet funny personality would be her ticket to fame. She's got it down to a fine science now and she actually does have comedic timing. She'd probably be very good as a stand up as long as the material was solid. But who knows how she is in private. My guess is she's on the shy side, sensitive and intelligent.
