    I really appreciate you taking the time to make and share these videos.
    I’m getting back on a dirt bike after 40 years. Been riding 3 and 4 wheelers. I felt like a kid riding his bicycle for the first time without training wheels.
    Dang skinny tires. I wobbled all over the place..lmao it was a Humbling experience. Plus I’m breaking in a new pair of motocross boots.
    Had no feeling for the pegs, shifter and the rear brake pedal.
    Thought what the heck am I doing this for? Just don’t have the confidence yet .I built a YZ 125 to learn on and relive the smells and sounds of my youth. So I looked at a lot of your videos and lessons and starting slow. Luckily I have my own land to practice on. So it’s slow and steady with practice drills. My goal next year is to take your classes. Will join your online classes once I get to where I can just ride confidently controlling the bike.
    Thanks you Sir for sharing your knowledge and passion.

    I agree with you about the 4x max attempt. It starts to get in my head if I haven't committed by 3-4 and my confidence isn't there and hesitation can make things get sketchy real quick. Some days I feel it and some I don't. Great vid AJ.

    You have made another great video on how to do things correctly. If you're going to take a risk, you need to educate yourself on how to do it correctly. I have made those mistakes plenty of times by not being smooth on the power. I really love the mental part of ridding. Thanks for making the sport safer with your tips!
    Your video when you were riding the track and jumping with your hand only on the throttle, demonstrated that the next level of true control, that keeps coming back to me.

    This is one of the better jump vids. I think it would be helpful for many many riders to explain a little more about the feel of the bike as you load into a jump face. Experienced riders know if they are endoing or looping out before they ever leave the jump face. You should be able to feel the bike's pitch as you load into the jump, and be able to adjust BEFORE you leave the face. The first step is to be aware of how the bike feels loading into the face. You have to pay attention to how the bike feels as you load into the face.

    One thing AJ said is really the key , if you’re going to send it, you must must commit to the speed well in advance to hitting the face.

  • @edwinlomonacofoolsend
    @edwinlomonacofoolsend 3 роки тому +9

    Oof. Landing on the knuckle. Never fun. Always cool to see different levels. I think people often eith forget or don't appreciate what riding is. I always compare TO MMA. There are levels to it. And it's harder than it looks. Too often guys, me being one of them, think they can go out there and do it. Specially, like also me, if they come from a similar sport like BMX racing. But it's a whole different thing. A wrestler coming into MMA can only do so much before he or she is going to get knocked out or submitted. A ex-bmx racer may have some better understanding about body position and balance. But on the bike it's only a matter of time before something goes wrong. And when it does you'll probably not know why.
