After hurting my back once from sitting and taking all the bumps to the spine, I became afraid to sit on my butt while riding. My riding improved quite a lot thanks to this!
Been watching these videos over and over and applying at my local tracks and have been improving in corner speed a lot! Thanks AJ, wish I could join a class of yours man.
Wow! This guy is good at teaching! Not sure I have ever seen anyone that understands it and can relay it quite as well. Where were you when I needed you(1970’s-1980’s)?😂😂😂😂
Idk if you’ve touched base on it, but a quick video on how to hit a kicker like that would be sweet. So many times, the ideal line has that kicker and I can never get it dialed
AJ your youtube content is awesome! Im riding much faster and safer after watching your videos. I can apply almost all these techniques in my duelsport/enduro rides. I just want to say a huge thank you, from a woods rider in Oregon.
Hey, mx rider from sweden here - love your vids and just wanted to let you know we all appreciate the insights you provide. Sometimes it is a bit tough to hear what you are saying as the sound recording is very dynamic and depending on if you're holding the camera, send me a pm id love to help you with your audio mix :)
@@BladeBarn problem is I'm not sure when I am or not lol. I just come off the track way more out of breath then the longer and higher heart rates I'm working out to. I know intensity can play some role
2:28 Wow. That wasn't big air, but it was big enough where that could have been much uglier. Wild ride for sure. I think a lot of beginners would have been over the bars. Overall nicely done, all things considered.
Hi aj i really like your videos. I have a quick question: i am back riding after 35 years and trail riding a CRF450x and riding standing up inhave a hard time hanging on to the bars when the power hits. I am squeezing the bike with my legs but still it wants to yank the bars out of my hands and it is tiring. I know the bike is a beast but ant other trick to help ? Thanks
Wondering if you would be able to cover going down hills from a turn. First time on a track, I was doing fine until I went up a hill and then coming down I thought pulling in the clutch and letting off the throttle would slow me down. But I was gaining speed and before I could reach for my brakes It was too late, I low sided hard with the bike sliding ontop of me. Sprained my wrist too.
It’s because the bike free-wheeled when you pulled in the clutch. You never want to pull the clutch in when hitting the brakes and trying to slow down. You want to leave clutch out and downshift the bike so you get engine brake
"woahhh good save, good save!" - Im not so sure about that lol Aj, it's cool that you're supportive of your beginner students but aside from a complete ENDO, that could barely have gone any worse. lolol cool content ;)
hi Aj im struggling with gears and shifting at the right time, can you please make a video or just comment back to me,im on a 250f and i dont know in what gears i should ride and when to shift, i somtimes even corner in 3rd or 4th gear, can you please help
Nice vid aj. Wish there was a teacher as good as you around here in Iowa. But I can’t find any motocross teachers for that matter. Do you have any tips on how to find a teacher? I’m hyped up to learn this sport cuz I just bought my first bike an 03 rm 125 and it rips.
There aren’t many teachers out there that I would trust to teach you correctly. I’m not sure who would be in the Iowa area. Covid has messed up my plans for 2020, but in 2021 I plan to be traveling all over the world to teach
@@AjCatanzaro thanks for the comment man! Maybe we could work somthing out in 2021. but until then guess I'm just gonna try and learn as much as I can from your vids. Thanks! Aj
Saw you looking at kickers and then remembered a month ago when I went out to a track and rode my own line in and ended up making a kicker in the face of 65 footer when some goon decided to go at it spade during lunch brake and through powdery sand on It and left it without compacting it or anything and then on my first lap after lunch I rode the line and thought the kicker was gone and ended landing in a nose wheelie on the bars and rode it into a 180 berm and the bike landed on me 😂
Hey Aj your new intro is sweet.
Thank you!! And it’s my brother’s new song which is cool!
Maintaining while standing is much easier than standing and accelerating. Great tip!

Kev2bkr same here. It works. Great as long as you apply it
AJ you are a great instructor and teacher, awesome lessons! Cheers from Brazil!
Dig the new intro!! Thanks for all the help.
Love this series
Thanks!
I need to apply that build speed sitting and maintain speed while standing that you mentioned at 11:55. This is good stuff!
I could watch these vids for days. Keep bringing the content man.
Let’s go you’re back!!
I love it! You know you're with real racers when the first question after a crash is if the bike okay. 2:25
Haha!
Hey AJ, it’s Dylan #11 at the Evansville camp Thursday night, I love to watch your vids because I learn a lot, keep up the good work

AJ, not sure if you've done a video on it before but it would be nice to see what you do for a workout regiment and/or core strength.
Your videos are amazingly helpful!!! 🙌

I love these videos they've helped me alot thank you aj
Def want to go to one of your classes or a private lesson. One day soon hopefully.
Love your channel so I became a patreon today :-)
Tried this with the turn track the other day and huge difference in control

I love ur vids so much man
Love how the title is a tip on its own
Haha 👌🏼
Great vid 👍
Good to hear he’s on a 2 stroke.
Love ur vids
How about a video on how to breathe while riding/racing? My workouts aren't doing enough and I think I'm holding my breathe idk
Can definitely talk about this in some videos
if your holding your breath in sections try saying out loud BRAAP BRAPP or saying a few words or what gear your in

niiiiiice, finally a new video 👌
fix that dude's goggles omg haha
It would be so sick to get a private lesson but I'm all the way on the west coast in Washington
I’ll be at Thunder Valley in CO this year and for 2021 I’ll be in Vancouver, BC and could definitely make something happen in Washington!
Aj Catanzaro add me to the WA list.
come to Idaho do a class, skyline mx park

Very educative :)

What is considered a kicker AJ? I’m trying to learn all the terms as I’m teaching my 10yr old to ride.
Any type of bump that doesn’t really belong on the face of a jump
Let’s get some water on that track or is that extra?
