My 03 HD looks just like this before you did the budget build. I absolutely love the debadging & wheels look on this truck. Black rims, white lettering. 👌 Very nice.
Very nice truck.. I have a 06 white one hd2500 as well wish it was red like yours I like it better but anyways I was thinking about selling it and now that I seeing your video I going fixit up as well. Thanks
amazing vid man! norcal the fenders. tbh idk what the point of lifting the truck - it does nothing but wear everything out and harder to load the bed up. the diff is still going to crash into everrything unless you somehow do a diff lift
I love them wheels bro! I just purchased an 03 Sierra 1500 HD, I’ve always wanted a 4 door with the mid bed and I found it. I like the 4” as well and I wouldn’t have noticed the difference it not being a 6” lift. But I’m not a lifted truck expert. Good looking truck
@@bowtiebuilding the 4'' looks beefy and will poke your front tires out and it looks pretty tall but it still only raises it so much. I think for the price and the fact it isnt super tall its a good look.
Beautiful truck man, I love my 05'. Had it since 2007, been a great truck. Looking to put some mickey thompson bullet holes on next for that old school look
Thank you very much! I actually get that more than I thought I would. Guess not everyone is about the big blinged out rims. Building some bumpers right now. Hope to get some videos up on that soon.
Man can’t agree with you more on the lift. Got a 4.5 rough country thinking it would be a decently high lift and it was at first but now it’s like normal and I think it’s stock again. If I had to go back would definitely go to a 6…
I did replace the A arms later on but not really too much many problems. I honestly don’t drive this truck every day so I can’t really say yes or no how it would do as a daily. But I think going taller would give more issues.
Degreaser and washing it with water. Scrubbing it anywhere I could get to and just doing every chance I got. Now I just clean it with degreaser and spray it once a month or so. Just keep the water away from the air cleaner and don’t soak it.
I’ll scrap them with like a putty knife or use a wire wheel. They make some flapper disc too to put on a grinder or drill. All depends on the thickness of the steel. On thick stuff like the frame I’ll use a pressure washer real close.
Hey brother what CV axles do you have? Or recommend I have exact same truck with 6inch RC lift and every single time I put it in the sand / mud and engage the .4x4 and give it gas it pops right out
I’m still with the stock originals so don’t really know what’s better. I’ve had issues with other trucks where it’s the transfer case that it pops out. Maybe ask RC what they recommend with the 6”. Sorry I didn’t help much.
The lights were in pretty bad shape so my buddy who painted my truck sprayed them with the headlight paint you get from like autozone. I’m not sure how many coats but they were dark. They looked good but when I turned the lights on you could really see the lights were in bad shape. I recently bought new smoked lights and installed them. They are the ones with the “c” type leds around the sides. Didn’t paint anything under the hood except a few black metal parts that were a little rusted. Mainly just cleaned it up real good and add decals that of parts I put on my truck. Thanks for watching and hope my answer helped.
@@chiefcateye7 congrats on the truck! You’ll love fixing it up...it’s all stock exhaust. Thought about changing it up and still thinking but just haven’t done it. I did paint and touch up paint it with black high temp engine paint so it looks decent.
35x12.5R17 They are Vision Rims www.carid.com/vision-wheels/84-d-window-gloss-black-1240600.html I did not put spacers but the rear could use probably 2” spacers to stick out like the fronts. When I put the lift it makes the fronts stick out a little.
@@matthewmontville5310 thank you for taking the time to watch. Definitely not a money saver on fuel but fun to drive and work with. Good luck and hope you find the perfect truck.
Exactly how I want to do my ‘05. No crazy offset and not too high. Perfection. 👌
I really like the stickers under the hood, I hate stickers on my truck but never thought of putting them under the hood, great idea!
Great looking truck!!! Nothing over the top, just an awesome truck.

These and the square bodies are my favs

Been eyeing cateyes for a minute now. I have a ‘99 Sierra but I’d love to upgrade to a cateye
Chevy def did good on this style
Cateyes are a downgrade

That’s awesome! You’ll love your truck for sure. So many people are wanting this style it seems.
@@TurninNBurnin for sure. A buddy told me that because of the frame, a 4” lift will look like a 6” lift...?

I went direct to the Rough Country site. I’ll look and see if I can find the one I installed.

No laughing at the rims and tires, actually love that look, that's why I clicked on this video was because the rims and tires with white lettering!

I have little man syndrome when I go to truck meet ups and see the other guys with their taller trucks. But I still love my truck.
I have the same truck , only 2003. Did the side molding come off easily? Heat gun/hair dryer?
Had the truck painted so I didn’t remove them myself. I’d assume they would come off easy with heat gun.
This is what i want
Thank you and these and the square bodies are my favorites.
Really nice truck 🔥
Noeyeye thank you sir
Does the 4" lift cause any big problems with suspension or front end?

How'd you clean up the engine and engine bay? Wanting to do it to my truck but hesitant to get the engine wet. Thanks.

Man I love it its kinda like my 1500 same color and headlights with black wheels did you paint the grille
Right on and thanks! I did paint the grill to match.
How do you recommend sanding parts with flakey rust on them
