We need BDS 2025. Honestly, the one team in this league that showed progress over the years. Look where they were in 2022 and where they are now. I hope they can continue like this. They make the league more exciting.
They didn't show progress, they only didn't massively regress like the rest of the league. Where they are now is not being able of beating G2 in a single series ever and every time FNC or any other team plays slightly decent they crumble and look like they are fighting prime samsung white. They are third because the rest of the league besides G2 and FNC (who are only decent by LEC standards right now) is pathetically bad, if MAD weren't terrorists of the rift they would've finished play offs last and KC gifted them the series. If it wasn't for Ice somehow dragging Sheo, Adam and Nuc dead bodies across the rift to hit the enemy nexus, their issues would be even more evident.
2019 was a goated year, not only did g2 win MSI, but all LEC teams made it to worlds playoffs, the region was filled with so much optimism even after losing finals.
Its sad that it was 5 years ago, and since then, Europe wasnt even close to a chance of doing something internationally, and this years final gives me zero hope :( .

I think a lack of content and memes is partially to blame. I remember the excitement behind things like God Gilius, the insane Schalke run, the songs, the Jankos Miky bromance etc. I haven't seen anything like that in a while. It lightened the atmosphere and there was less toxicity.

But I wish it was sometimes way more simple. Imagine if the famous Faker play wasn't "Look at the cleanse, look at the moves!", but rather "Faker cleanse, Faker using shadow clone, spinning, autoattacking. Faker flashing, throwing his blade and uses shadow clone again!" Doesn't have the same ring to it
I agree. The caster had no idea what was happening at that faker play. But that doesn't make him a bad analyst. It just made the play and the hype even better.
I like it a lot more when it's just the casters/analysts. Whenever there's a player guest star they have to pander to him, and if it's for the whole episode it's more a one team content piece than an LEC discussion.
Can we say that G2 are the champions of energy management? They played without any excess of care and 3 0'd the opponent. Brilliant! If they fail at world the worry speech would then be relevant. Also remember pre-MSI?

But i dont think saying "we played terrible today and we are ashamed of it" is unprofessional. Instead what they all say were "far from perfect" "we will get them next time" "we did good things on some part of the game". I'd love to see that they acknowledge publicly that both team played utterly bad.
At 31:28, you basically say that LEC is bad at LoL because they are just bad at LoL. Opening the map for set up is the basis for years, now. If one of our best jungler from our 2nd best team can't even fathom that, we shouldn't be rated higher than minor regions.

if you want to talk about the state of LEC you need to talk about bringing back religation. If there is not threat of being religated or the chance of reaching LEC through gameplay alone. The league will suffer from a lack of talent mobility

The problem with FNC now and a year 2 years ago is called Razork. He has very good mechanics and is a good lane ganker, but not a smart thinker in critical situations and in team fights. He is too emotional, but he is the one with the loudest voice in teamfights at the same time. He should just follow in mid to late game and not try to lead. Let ether Humanoid or Jun lead!

I can't recall a single LCS stomp over LEC aside from G2 vs NRG at worlds last year. And more recently TL vs FNC, which was 2nd seed vs 1st seed. Last Worlds FNC beat C9, MAD beat TL (2nd vs 2nd and 3rd vs 3rd seed). Also BDS stomped GG convincingly. This year TL beat FNC and G2 beat FLY. At best they are roughly equal, nowhere near LCS stomping LEC lol
