Thank you for this analysis. I never knew much about Chovy’s laning because he is not my main player. But after watching, I realized that he had very good skills and I don't have to wonder why he's called that Church of Chovy. 🏅

I still remember last LCK spring final game 5, when Chovy played Corki against Faker's signature champ, Oriana. He nearly dodged all of Faker's skills (even using Valkyrie just to dodge) and landed on his skills.
What's funny is there was another guy who made a video on how Chovy trades in lane and it was him dodging every Ori ability while on Jayce! He really just knows that matchup too perfectly.
This may be a reason why he is much better player in domestic league. He just knows how other midlaners will act based on his experience. He is now also stacking experience versus other global players, so I believe he will even become top player in Worlds soon.
A thing i recommend for people in solo Q is to see what they play against and before the laning phase starts or when you have down time before the game starts look up the enemy champion cooldowns on wiki ,you dont need to memories them ,but to have an idea is still a masive advantage ,since this is soloQ not pro play when you play against the same champs every time and can memories their timers .

He's playing in the hardest region in the world, against the best players in the world, and he's had complete dominance for 4 straight splits. Up until recently, GENG hadn't dropped a single game all split, now 21-1. You can't ban him out. You can't beat him in lane, only going even after throwing 5+ bans his way which leaves open picks for his teammates to carry with. He used to choke, but in current form, he's far from it. He's the best player in the world and nobody comes close.

Whenever I see people say Chovy is only good because he farms well or whatever, I just instantly understand that those people have zero idea why Chovy is the best laner in the world. It's not just his csing, he does so many little things that you do not even realize are happening unless someone points them out to you. That Taliyah vs Annie clip where he set up the 2 Qs for when Showmaker returns to lane. No one does that, that little detail was enough to get mid prio despite getting ganked and killed and securing drake. That little detail can snowball in such big leads, people do not even realize.
I wonder if that's because his style is to bait and counter the specific player he is against in mid. So when he plays against players he has never or rarely played against he is a little lost compared to his domestic performances? Curious what you think if you have followed a lot of Chovy vs Faker for example.
My greatest inspirations in League pro play are Chovy, Faker and Showmaker these 3 really inspire me to train and get better at the game even if it's hard
I used to dislike Chovy simply because I can feel his presence is slowly taking over Faker, so I downplay him a lot. But the more I watch him play, the more I admire him. The dude has insane talent

Faker was a god when he debuted. League was a different game back then with less mechanically sound players. But you can’t really say that players like Faker, Deft and Peanut can hold up to Chovy, Viper or Canyon now. The newer generation being better than the previous is what human kind as a whole should always strive for and it is showing in league. For all we can appreciate Faker for his longevity and consistency, having newer players being better than him is a good thing.

Both groups are right by their own definition, which naturally makes them wrong by the other group's definition. Does that mean Harry Kane is worse than Morata because he doesn't have a trophy? Also trophies are won with the team, not with individual performance. Faker was unbeatable in the early stages of the game because the wasn't well known to the people. After season 5, good teams and players started to emerge. That's when Faker's decline slowly began. During his time, he was playing Ambition in the mid lane, who later became a jungler. The early game was that bad and uncompetitive. Yes he used to be good but the past is in the past and now he has such serious opponents that he looks really bad next to them.

People say Faker is the GOAT of League of Legends, I think that's true to Faker's influence, but for me, Chovy is the best mid laner ever. He becomes the best when he is surrounded by other mid laners who are also very good, they all understand the game very well. As for Faker, he is the best in an era where there aren't many good players in League of Legends. That's my opinion.

고작 2분 50초 봤는데 팔 다리에 소름돋음 아지르 병사 평타 딜계산해서 미니언 한대 쳐놓는거랑 탈랴 쿨탐 계산해서 스탑무빙한 다음 꺾는거.. 나였으면 탈랴 q 4대는 맞았을 꺼같음... 그리고 탈리야 애니 판도 라인클리어 빨리 해놔서 미니언 라인 반반 만들고 앞에 q 5대는 다 맞춘다는 보장도 없고 다 맞추는데 시간도 걸리니까 다져진땅 두개 미리 만들어 놓는 디테일 진짜 말도 안된다

Does that mean Harry Kane is worse than Morata because he doesn't have a trophy? Also trophies are won with the team, not with individual performance. Faker was unbeatable in the early stages of the game because the wasn't well known to the people. After season 5, good teams and players started to emerge. That's when Faker's decline slowly began. During his time, he was playing Ambition in the mid lane, who later became a jungler. The early game was that bad and uncompetitive. Yes he used to be good but the past is in the past and now he has such serious opponents that he looks really bad next to them.

What a ship sailed by us when Griffin failed to succeed at worlds and more or less disbanded. Chovy hitting 100 KDA will always be one of the most impressive feats of any midlaner. And in Griffin he seemed to be perfectly in sync with the other players.

People say Faker is the GOAT of League of Legends, I think that's true to Faker's influence, but for me, Chovy is the best mid laner ever. He becomes the best when he is surrounded by other mid laners who are also very good, they all understand the game very well. As for Faker, he is the best in an era where there aren't many good players in League of Legends. That's my opinion.
