Why skip For All Tid?
Yeah wtf? why?
" morning place". expert level rating right here.
palace not place
Yep. One of Dimmu's best and most well known songs... Makes you wonder how familiar people really are when they do these ratings...
Any reason you skipped the first album “For All Tid”?
Why do you have to skip For All Tid???
How about an Old Man's Child album ranking? They have criminally overlooked albums! HAHA
S : for all tid
A = ETD, SBD
B= Stormblast, PEM
C= DCA, Stormblast MMV
D= ISD
E = abrahadabra
F = eonian
For All Tid should be here. Is there an actual reason for the skip? It is considered an official studio album by practically everyone.
1.Enthroned darkness triumphant (TOP)
2.Death cult armagedon
3.Puritanical euphoric misantropia
4.Spiritual black dimensions
5. For all tid-Stormblast Τhe rest almbums just complete the discography
If you enjoy early stile Dimmu Borgir, check out Usva from Finland, they have a demo called Seitsemät Siivet from 1999. Old Man's Child's first Album also has some Enthroned and even Stormblast vibes. Also the EP "First Spell" by Gehenna is highly recomended
Vortex and Mustis(keybord player, who wrote Progenies...) are truly missed!
S: PEM
A: EDT, SBD, In Sorte Diaboli
B: Stormblast, For All Tid
C: DCA
D: An Onion, Abrablablabla
I got into them during Puritanical when it came out and then I bought Enthroned and got a copy of SBD and that got me hooked... then DCA came out. If I made a list of most disappointing albums from hype, that would be on there. Progenies and Vresbyrd are good tracks but DCA never got to me. My own opinion. Maybe I’ll re-listen to it and see if my taste has changed
I saw you're gonna make new In Flames tier list but man... I feel like this one really needs to be re-done. For All Tid doesn't deserve to be skipped like that.
When they drop a new one I definitely will. This one is outdated.
S - PEM, EDT, SBD
A - Stormblast, For All Tid
B -
C -
D - DCA
E - Abrahadabra, In Sorte Diaboli, Eonian
Eonian next to EDT? Ooof
I definitely have a way different list. To me, they’ve never recovered since blowing it out of the water on DCA. I still hope they have one noteworthy album left in them, but given the lack of Vortex and Mustis going forward, and that it took 8 years to release Eonian it sure doesn’t look good.
To me Enthroned Darkness Triumphant through Death Cult Armageddon is their peak. After that their music became less and less interesting to me. For me EDT is their best and in general one of the best albums I've ever heard.
Seeing Eonian being on same tier as EDT hurts quite a bit. Nothing really memorable about that record. Also, what about For All Tid?
I love Eonian, it's a good comeback for them. Might not be quite EDT level but I listen to it a lot. A huge improvement after Abrahadabra.
Him leaving For All Tid out is stupid.
DCA in S Tier and the rest of discography below it. Pretty much sums up the taste of this man.
Yet you can’t seem to stop watching…
@@MetalTrenches Yea, I'm always curious about your listing. It's somehow intriguing how different the taste is in the US compared to Europe.
S: Enthrone, Spiritual
A: Stormblåst, Deathcult
B: For All Tid, Puritanical
C: Abrahadabra, Eonian
D: In Sorte Diaboli
To me Enthrone and Spiritual are the best examples of keyboard driven Black Metal. I love all the Songs on In Sorte Diaboli, where ICS sings, the rest is more or less boring… Abrahadabra on the other hand I think is their most diverse album combining so many different styles. For All Tid and Stormblåst have their very own, almost nostalgic atmosphere. I think Dimmu Borgir is all about that dark magic in their music. One of my favourite Bands!
In Sorte Diaboli
Death Cult Armageddon
Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia
Spiritual Black Dimensions
Enthroned Darkness Triumphant
Eonian
Abrahadabra
Stormblast MMV
For All Tid
also, no Godless Savage Garden?
It's a great release, but not an album really
Idk I love Eonian, imo The Unveiling is a top 5 dimmu track all time.
Owo lol I hate The Unveiling haha, that's subjective
For All Tid and Stormblast 1996 are the best black metal albums ever recorded!
Enthone #1
Skipping For All Tid? Utterly ridiculous
lmao. This comment is like a living meme. Are you the “They don’t know…” buzzkill guy?
@@MetalTrenches Well, he's right. If you're going to rank all Dimmu Borgir albums, skipping the first one for no reason is just... stupid. Downright stupid. Makes you look lazy and unprofessional dude.
@@MetalTrenches Nah it is actually really weird that you would skip it.. it's their first album and it's not even like it's drastically different from the others. And even if it was it would still be strange to not include it.
Rough list. A little more research in dates/song titles would have made it seem a little more respectable. No reason to not include EDT either.
It's a tier list man. It's just sharing subjective opinion. I do a LITTLE more "research" on my newer lists but ultimately these are just supposed to be fun. Don't overthink it
The ranking itself is to each their own, agree with some, disagree with some (1996 Stormblast is way better, Spiritual Black Dimensions is probably their worst). Also DCA is good but definitely not their best album.
But leaving For All Tid out of a DB all albums ranking?! That's just plain stupid. If you're going to rank a band's career like this, take the time to actually listen to their albums.......
death cult as S tier over puritanical??????? wtf is this dude smoking? i stopped listening to dimmu borgir when they released death cult... boring
Oh no. An opinion. Run for the hills.
1. Enthroned darkness triumphant
2. Puritanical euphoric misantropia
3. Stormblast re-record
4. Spiritual black dimensions
5. For all tid
6. In sorte diaboli
7. Death cult armagedon (average album kind of weak)
8. Stormblast
9. Abrahadabra shit
10. Eonian pile of shit
Shocking to see DCA so low, but your top choices are all great stuff. I can tell you're more into the old school sound.
@@MetalTrenches yeah I can't criticise you is just my opinion maybe you met the band in the last albums so I can understand. Many people wanna look true metalhead saying this band is shit but I disagree this band is awesome not very good in my opinion in the last albums
@@goatmoonwarmaster4641 Naw, I've been listening since around 2004. My first exposure was the video for DCA, but the first full albums I heard were EDT and SBD. Yeah man, they rule regardless.
1. Eonian
2. Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia
3. Spiritual Black Dimensions
4. Enthrone Darkness Triumphant
5. Abrahadabra
6. In Sorte Diaboli
7. Death Cult Armageddon
8. Stormblast
9. For All Tid
