I don't care what other people say I loved this movie and zhen being the new dragon warrior is fitting because her and po are a lot alike both were orphans and were adopted by parent figures. I am looking forward to see were zhen goes from here.

Absolutely agree with you. I think that this movie is overhated, and I’m getting pretty sick and in some cases outright angry at the hate it’s getting online. Just because it doesn’t match up to the first three doesn’t make it a bad movie.

This movie really wanted to be better than the first 3, and it actually accomplished that. Even though the Furious Five don’t even show up until the end credits, it was still a great movie anyways. The action is awesome, it has great dialogue here and there, and by god is the Tenacious D cover of …Baby One More Time the catchiest cover I ever heard. That song also got me pumped for this movie. Overall, this was truly an amazing comeback for the franchise.
But I can say that same thing about the other three, that doesn't make it better than them. "Even if the Furious Five don't do much against the main villain it's still a great movie anyways. The action is amazing, the story is phenomenal, the music is so iconic and beautiful, that you can remember it the moment you hear it start. The villain ties into the movie and has such an amazing connection with a pivotal character in the story, and when he is taken down you get a wave of satisfaction that gives a sense of conclusion." Apply that to any of the first three movies, it's easy to do, but how is it better than the first 3 like you said it accomplished doing?
How exactly does this stand out of the previous 3 when what you said is basically the same for them? It’s basically using the same format for the movie but what is different there that makes it good for you?

(At 27:40) FINALLY! After 16 years… Ian McShane has finally returned to the _Kung Fu Panda franchise._ And his character has changed during those years, Looks like he got some new "character" development.
But he's still the 2nd Kung Fu Panda G.O.A.T.
I don't HATE this one. But I think they misused the villain.
Po has spent the last 3 movies learning who he was, who he is, and who he can become.
What if The Chameleon was such a broken character because she HAD no personal identity? She desperately wanted to be the strongest, the biggest, the fastest, the most powerful. And in doing so, she lost everything that made her her. Even her name; she's only called "The Chameleon" for a reason!
The final battle would climax with Po knocking her out of her transformations with one question: "Who are *you?*" And he'd keep doing it until all that was left was a small, pituful creature, even compared to her "base" form. Think a kid-friendly version of Envy's defeat from Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood!
I’m sorry but they did all the past villains and the furious 5 DIRTY. Lord shen is my all time fav villain and they made him so useless it just breaks my heart
They definitely did the furious 5 wrong in the first movie because how the hell did they lost to Tai lung and Po won against Tai lung, and Po is no where near as good as the furious 5
Last month when I went to see Ghostbusters: Sponge Out of Water, I saw a Kung Fu Panda 4 standee despite how they weren't showing that movie anymore and a poster for an A24 movie next to each other, and I thought, "we live in an interesting time."

it's the weakest but not a franchise killer. They over react so much because they expect it to be a super top s tier movie like the triliogy. Obviously it wont always be the case, people have to use their common sense lol.
I watched this movie two days ago. I came here with my comment. For me, this film is weaker for two reasons: 1. Insufficient drama. Gen's character needed a deep backstory and connection with Poe to create harmony between them. 2. All three films had the villain's backstory. She's not in this movie. The character is just evil and wants to be greatest.
Nevertheless, I liked the movie, I liked the idea of the villains returning (Spider-Man: No Way Home), I knew from the first movie that Poe had to take the place of Ugway. But if the first three films were 5/5, this one is 4/5.
I do agree that this film is the weakest in the series and I do agree with your analysis of the movie, but one thing I will correct is that the villain needs to connect with Po in particular. Only Shen has had deep connections to Po's past, Tai Lung was deeply connected to Shifu and Kai was connected to Oogway, so it's fine if the Chameleon is connected to Aquafina with a deep backstory, but like you said, she had no backstory, lacking motivation, and just no presence in the film.
I do wish that if the villains returned they did more than just cameo however, like at least have Tai Lung be a character and interact with Po and maybe fight alongside him or something to earn that ending we got.
I would consider this to be the weakest of the Kung Fu Panda movie, it’s not bad, but not as good as the last three, but I will say this: Jack Black’s cover of Britney Spears’s “Hit Me Baby One more Time” slaps!
Not the best but idk if the worst.

(At 23:53) THESE are supposed to be Komodo Dragons? The Forbidden Company from Kung Fu Panda the Dragon Knight look better than these rabid-looking iguanas. One of the reasons is because those four Komodo Dragons, from the Netflix series, is not only do that have poison, but it was so corrosive it looked like they were actually spitting acid.

"the villain has no sense,there is a mantis smaller than her" for the guys that like to judge without actually understand the movie there is something that you can read and actually understand: some animals arent accepted to be actual master or sinple apprentice for kung fu,why? Depends on the spirit,like she said, without that you cant use kung fu. There is a conmection with Po in the firsy movie,she was discriminated by her size,Po by his body,but he found someone that trusted in him and used a different method of training (the food),no one trusted in her,for being small and poor,she didnt have a master like oogway (oogway chose the furious five,not shifu) and we know that oogway can see something that normal master cant,like shifu,he never saw the potential in Po,he rejected him just for being fat,the power,the strenght live in the spirit,and then in body. So the chameleon chose another path, something that change the body thanks to the spirit,but the spirit of the others,not her,at the end of the movie she actually proved some skill,her tail is very usefull in fight. Sorry im not very good to express myself in english,hope you understood everything

@@ahbho8708 felt like all the other shows that instead of ending it on a high as they got no good ideas left, they retool it with a new story and new characters that end up feeling like they have no place and ultimately failing.
and now they will do even poorer movies going forward.
they are doing a disney and putting a chick in it and making it.......well i can't say it as YT will not show stuff like that anymore

I love Toy Story 4 (2019) & Kung Fu Panda 4 (2024) I love Both 4th Film.
Gotta be honest, this one's definitelythe weakest. Shifu's out of character, there's no reason Po should have to retire in his prime, the Chameleon's motive makes no sense when you remember Mantis exists, the returning villains barely do anything, and there's no real message or themes this time. But at least Jack Black's cover of "Baby, One More Time" is a banger.
There is a reason po should retire in his prime so he can train the next dragon warrior just because he retired doesn't mean he won't be able to help in a fight
Also remember Tai Lung and all the hype he got shafted hard, he was barely 5 minutes in the movie, Kai and Shen also have zero relevance and are just there as glorified NPC characters
Literally the song is 1 of the Only reasons why I liked this movie.
Everything else... I can see why everyone hates it.
I think the message of this movie was change and it could be a good thing.

Toy Story 4: "Finally a worthy opponent. Our disappointment will be legendary!" this was just a lazy cash grab. Nothing about it was well done or thought through; nobody learned anything from watching what Disney did to Toy Story 4. This is up there with Toy Story 4 as one of the most unwanted sequels of all time. The best part about this movie is the end credits Jack Black singing “...Baby One More Time.”

It's definitely the weaker of the KFP feature-length movies.
By the way, you really got to check out the KFP short films, starting with Secrets of the Furious Five.
Also, you all need to go to movie theaters again. I'm still going to them.
I love how tai lung, lord shen and kai turn good. They punish the chamelon in the spirit world. They use her tongue as a jump rope.
Times change and something tells me the tongue jump rug thing won’t last for long and they’ll plan something a little more extreme
We know every Villians can change it's never too late to do the right thing. Never even too late for any villian or theif to change their ways either.
And a lot of Po's inner voices lol it was hilarious even with Shifu.
Looks like Zhen's gonna be the next dragon warrior, and Po teaches her well.

Great reaction guys, I'm glad you two enjoyed it, i didnt find it that good but i still enjoyed some parts of it, i would have much rathered Tai lung teaming up with Po and Zhen than him just sitting in a cage the whole film. I really wanted him having a proper redemption with him reuniting with Shifu and apparently it was going to happen but someone scrapped it which is so annoying, even the co director Stephanie Ma Stine wanted him to have a proper redemption. But at least we got a good fight scene with him and i did enjoy seeing him taking the chameleon to the spirit realm and respecting Po.
Worrying doesn't make the broth boil any faster.

Movie was great but not it's best. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, it's humor, visuals and it felt like honoring the first three with the villians and paving way for a new trilogy of some sort.

The only major problem that i had is that kai should be dead-dead and not a spirit. Other than that it wasn't that good but it was definitely a fun experience. I think the main problem was that the last sequel was puss in boots 2 so their expectations were too high.

I did have fun with KFP 4, it was very enjoyable. However, it did have its weak points like the villain being the lesser from the previous ones (in terms of character background) and lack of the Furious Five. Nonetheless, a fun film imo and I enjoy this films’ adaptation to Baby One More Time.

Many say that this movie is the worst of the entire franchise, but in my opinion it is very entertaining, of course, it has its mistakes and it is not perfect, but given the decisions that the director and the writers have made, I expected nothing less, even so it fulfills its purpose, to make you laugh and give you good fight sequences😌
Yeah this movie was iffy XD it was ok, but it could have been better IMO . Also I’m going back to work. I work as a bus monitor and my shift shift ends at three pm. And may I’ll share a story with you. But since I deal with kids welll a jerk well I’ll tell u later I gotta go 😎👍🏻
My problem with this movie is it feels cheap. Isn't it weird that Shen & Kai didn't speak? They can use the money they saved for cutting out the Furious 5. The story also reminds me of Disney's Hercules. And I can't believe Chameleon hasn't been defeated way sooner when she can only copy physical attribute without the kung fu. Oh, and I'm not a fan of Awkwafina & Chris Pratt's voice works, which is weird because I like their acting.
TLDR: flawed movie, very mid, seems to be made just for the money.

This movie has its fans, but to me, it’s a pretty big downgrade of the franchise.
The animation is weaker, the jokes are mostly weak, the villain set up is pretty weak, and instead of the furious five, we’re giving a wolf character I personally hated so much.
The only good things I found was 30% of the jokes were funny, and it did have one or 2 cool moments here and there
I have to disagree on the animation aspect. As an artist/animator myself, I can see that it is still very good and hasn’t declined in quality.

The final battle between po Zhen and the Chameleon is Fire
And Tai lung and the past Kung fu panda villain sowing po respect is a nice moment

nem faz sentido Kai e Lord Shen estarem lá, eles nem foram para o reino dos espiritos, Tai Lung só foi por tomar o golpe do dedo ushe, mas normalmente quem vai para lá são os mestres, e ele nunca foi mestre. Lord Shen só morreu e não é mestre e Kai foi levado para o reino dos espiritos denovo mas foi evaporado no final e ele já estava morto. Não faz nenhum sentido isso, e é vergonhoso o jeito que eles respeitam o Po, meu deus assisti os outros filmes denovo, e ve esse, não são os mesmos personagens. e eles nem deram o respeito de trazer de volta os atores deles, nem dos cinco furiosos. É um desrespeito com a trilogia Kung Fu Panda, esse diretor nunca nem assistiu os outros filmes, só pode
