- The names of Marlow & Conrad are maybe a reference to Joseph Conrad & the lead character Marlow from his novella Heart of Darkness

I think this movie made me a bit of a fan of King Kong. Not only the effects on Kong look great, but also it has some definitely recognizable Marvel actors, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, and Tom Hiddleston. It’s for sure a King Kong movie unlike any other.

That red handprint on the mountain was later revealed to NOT be Kong’s handprint. It belongs to a specific character that you may or may not see in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
Nah, it was Kong's handprint. You can see Kong climbing these same mountains in Marlow's flashback story of him, that was the same time Kong's right hand was bleeding. The handprint you're talking about for that "specific character" in GxK was a territorial thing, and more of a paint rather than blood, since they have the same war paint all over their bodies.
@@panisajerseyuelronquillo109 Kong wasn’t bleeding that bad at least according to the mire squid scene, only the palm of his hand seemed to be cut by the helicopter blades. There is no way the entire handprint would be shown on the mountain if only his palm was cut and bleeding. With the cuts that we see, it would be impossible to make a “bloody” handprint so perfectly aligned. The “blood” that you claim it is also didn’t look fresh, stands to reason the only thing it could be is war paint by you should know who.
@@newmanproductionentertainm5127 Fair. I've theories about it that "you know who" was the one who sent the Skullcrawlers on Skull Island because Kong's family was a potential rival to his rule.

@@newmanproductionentertainm5127no you’re wrong. The character you are referring has been trapped in hollow earth since the ice age. It’s impossible for him to have left out of the trapped portion of hollow earth just to come up to the surface, then go out of his way to find skull island while having no idea that kong is even on that specific island. It was kongs hand print and if it’s not then it’s one of his Parents but the timeline doesn’t add up for it to be the character you’re referring too

They are paratrooper helicopters there for quick exits. Troops train in them before entering combat or going on missions. Take those panties off Bro 🤣

Kong: Skull Island is a solid entry in the MonsterVerse! It easily has the most interesting characters, a star studded cast, fights during the day, and new and intimidating monsters!
I just now noticed this, but during the conflict scene after the graveyard incident Slivko is the only one of Packards soldiers who didn’t point his gun at Marlow. Goes to show that he realizes that Marlow is right and foreshadows what he’ll do later in the movie.

Kong; Skull Island is definitely my favorite Kong movie. I love the original, but I was glad that it was it's own thing and part of the Monsterverse. Thanks for reacting to it. I enjoyed yalls reaction.
Imo Kong: Skull Island is the best overall film in the Monsterverse, though it's only my second favorite movie in the series purely for biased reasons.

After this movie you get to in my opinion the best Monsterverse movie Godzilla king of the monsters (and I know you probably know this, but next up after Godzilla king of the monsters, you got Godzilla vs Kong, and then Godzilla x Kong the new empire, BUT I really recommend the 2 shows, Monarch legacy of monsters, and SKULL ISLAND.)
Kong Skull Island is such an incredible movie, I loved the human characters, especially John C. Reilly's character! The fight with the big Skull crawler is insane and that end credit scene still gives me goosebumps!!

You know, your prayer for Mason Weaver’s camera to not have a flash was quite appropriate considering how the inclusion of flash bulbs on cameras being used to take photos of Anne in the ORIGINAL King Kong (plus potentially its 2005 remake) played a crucial role in angering Kong into breaking free from captivity and going on his final rampage in that(those) movie(s)…

I like how this film expanded the lore of the titanic creatures, including Kong himself and how there were more human and monster interactions. Ofc, the end credits scene was my most favorite part because it was a real hype fest for me how they were setting the stage for the next film, King of the Monsters!
btw you said that the big one skullcrawler is almost as big as godzilla but actually skullcrawlers size is not even half of godzilas size, so godzilla is 3 to 4 times bigger and in godzilla vs kong movie they had to buff kong so its a fair fight between godzilla! So to make it clear that kong you see in skull island is not even half of the size he was in the godzilla vs kong movie!

Dearest Tim, please watch Dead Alive (Braindead) 1992. It’s the goriest zombie horror comedy movie ever. It was made by Peter Jackson who later made "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "The Hobbit". It's kinda like "Evil Dead II" but made in New Zealand.
