Glad you enjoyed the video! You can secure it to the two adjacent shelves using 2.5 inch long screws (cabinet screws or screws with a big cap work best). Then secure the bridge to the studs of the garage with L shaped brackets (can also add a few of these to connect the bridge to the adjacent shelves too for additional stability). Overall, pretty easy. Beginner Friendly.
Was building this today. Only thing missed is you said to have store cut plywood in half but they are still 96 long but the shelves are only 83" long so had to cut plywood shorter at home.
@snowmanDIY Good point! Yes, the plywood does need a final trim for the shelves, but having it cut to 24 inches at the store makes the process much more manageable. Glad you’re building it-hope it’s turning out great!
What are you putting in all of those totes? Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of stuff, but I guess I haven't conceptualized all that much of it as 27-gallon-tote appropriate lol. But maybe I should rethink things.
These totes are versatile. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can typically store in them: Seasonal Decorations - Christmas lights, ornaments, and similar once-a-year items. Sports Gear - Balls, helmets, and other bulky equipment. Camping Gear - Tents, sleeping bags, and outdoor essentials. Tools & Hardware - Power tools, screws, and DIY supplies. Bulk Supplies - Paper towels, pet food, and other big-box items. Toys - Keeps kids’ stuff organized and out of the way. Clothes - Out-of-season jackets or items you’re saving. Emergency Supplies - Flashlights, first aid kits, and non-perishables. Once you start, it’s easy to see how they handle just about anything you need to keep organized.
Great video!
How do you attach the bridge?
