- Hi guys today I will be sharing a very easy recipe for pineapple chiffon cake
for the ingridients we need
8 egg yolks
90 g sugar
100 ml vegetable oil
100 ml pineapple juice
1 tsp vanilla
150 g cake flour
for the meringue
8 egg whites
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
90 g of sugar
I just made this today and thank God hindi bumagsak ung cake. Kaso hindi ko malasahan ung pineapple juice. Pro it was fluffy. Nkakatuwa. Thanks for this recipe

I love this recipe! I have also made a strawberry version by replacing 100ml of pineapple juice with 50ml of water and 50ml of boiled down, strained strawberry puree. My tube pan doesn't have feet so I clipped 4 new plastic pegs on the sides after I took it out of the oven and inverted it. It worked perfectly :)

That's a superb looking chiffon cake. Love the use of pineapple juice. You didn't state if you greased the pan but I think with chiffon cakes you don't grease it. Is that right?
yes :D you are right I did not grease the pan, with chiffon cake most of the time I avoid greasing the pan so that the cake can have something to cling on to to maintain the height and air in the cake

Hi I did try this but it didn't grew its hallow in the middle and I try again putting baking powder and it works and it's yummy, any reason why didn't works in the first bake?

***** Please do not hesistate to ask me , I am willing to help in the best that I can , I haven't tried portable oven before but I know they do work, I heard that it can be hotter than what I am using so its best to turn it down a little bit say 6-10 deg and go from there, just check your cake at 40-45 mins it may not be done at this point but its a good starting point for your cake, you can use a skewers to check your cake but sometimes I do by feel by touching the middle of my cake if it springs back then I know its ready

Hi I am Pam not Rosy , cream if tartar stabilises the merengue thats its purposes, eggwhites will still foam up without it, if you cannot find cream of tartar use vinegar or lemon juice

+justine cris procalla it might clash with the pineapple flavour but its my opinion, adding lemon zest will not change the consistency so you can give it a try

Just a normal round pan for my cake ! The size U mention but no hole in the middle ! Is it ok ? Will it make a difference. ?
***** oh I do chiffon cake using round cake pan but not this particular recipe, it might be or might not be the reason. Its best to start by cooking it a little bit longer if it still keep on singking then it might be the pan.
I don't have cream of tartar, can I use baking powder or baking soda?

Yes if you replace pineapple juice with water it will be just like normal chiffon cake

***** I use normal sugar aswell, so I don't think its the issue, try testing the cake by filling it in the middle if it springs back when you touch it then its done.

+Aurora LT if you leave out the pineapple juice then it will be just plain chiffon cake , but yes you can leave it out, substitute the pineapple juice into water then add some about a tsp of vanilla, you can half the recipe aswell

You can get cake flour at coles or woolworths, uts called light house, but if you want you can make your just substitute 3 tbs of cornflour, so say for every cup of flour take out 3 tablespoon and replace it with 3 tbs of cornstarch then sift it. 5x . Thank you so much for watching

+Genie Tagros wax paper is not suitable for baking , the paper is treated with wax and will burn in the oven at certain temp. Unlike baking paper its treated with silicon and suitable for baking and non stick too
can you teach us how to make Fruit Cake :-). The dense type with brandy or rum, glazed fruits and nuts on top.

+test yes but make sure to cover the outside of your springform pan with alluminum foil just incase it leaks, baking time will be different it may take longer than suggested baking time.

+Joëlle Cundasawmy yes you can use any juice you like. just replace the pineapple juice with the apricot juice. make sure you pass it the viber through the fine sift. if you find the juice very thick you can thin it down with a bit of milk / water or lemon juice. Lemon juice will give you nice background flavor as well.

learnbaking the egg is defflated you need air for the cake to rise, make sure there is no greese in pan. turn it upside down as soon as the cake come out of the oven

My Sweet Ambitions I'm using a fan assisted oven kc , will the consistency of the cake be affected? Or ok lang sya if ill use the fan for baking cakes. Any idea po? Bago lang kc ako sa oven na to eh tapos pansin ko d even ung pagkaluto nya. Maybe I should use the fan everytime i bake with the same oven temp? I apologise for being so makulit. 3rd time ko na kc to napansin na d accurate ung results ng baking ko eh sa dati kong oven ok naman lahat with your recipe. 😊 thanks a lot.

+Violet Laresma make sure all the equipment that touches the eggwhites is free from grease or eggyolks , a single drop of eggyolk from the will cause the meringue to fail.

Just a nobody 1 chiffon if you use chiffon pan which is taller than the 8 inch round baking pan which is usually about 4" high in which you'll make about 2 chiffons
