Oh, man! That fish and chips looked so good. I knew you'd beat all of those other guys. That burping guy was hilarious and I liked that you thanked him when he did. It was too funny. Oh, dude, don't eat food off of the floor. The stuff that's on the bottom of peoples' shoes can be nasty.
Smashed it, Max! Even the 'floor chips' 😆 Fish and chips are no joke. It's always much more filling than it looks - or to me it is anyway. That said, I'm not really a fish eater, but chippy fish is in a league of its own. Gravy, yep; curry sauce, definitely; but as I've said before, I pretty much have my homemade chilli jam with everything 😋 Well done, I hope you gave yourself a good rest after those back-to-back challenges 😊👏🏽 🏆
Thanks mate! You're totally right, I think it's definitely the batter and the chips being so chunky! I love curry sauce on my chippy chips! But chilli jam would have been lovely on this! I still had one more challenge to go before a rest! 😅

Amazing time for sure, I'm really happy that your fish was juicy and delicious because I really enjoyed the challenge until I got to my fish which was the complete opposite, super dry and chewy and very hard to get down.... So sad... 😔 Not a good experience for my first Fish & Chips in the UK! You think I should go back for revenge on this one or try a different one?

Well done Max. You can keep the chips and the sides, but my all time favourite food is good old fashioned battered cod; nothing comes close!
I am not sure I could finish the cod but I would try my absolute damnedest and I think I could get at least half way but not in any completive timeframe; it may take me hours! 🤣

Curry, mushy peas... very British! (I still don't get the peas thing with fish and chips). Gravy is awesome, but vinegar rules :)
Very British you're right! Yea I like mushy peas but it is funny to have with fish and chips! I wish I'd thought to have vinegar with these chips! It would have helped a lot!
In Australia we have flake… which apparently is shark! Particularly gummy shark 😮

Personally, I’d enjoy the baked beans most as a side but I can see why gravy would work too
Yea baked beans are a solid choice, I've just not had gravy with fish and chips before, it was so unusual!

I will eat any kind of fish, fried to sashimi. Here in the Midwest USA, we most frequently get fried catfish. In a home setting it might be any freshwater fish from bass to paddlefish. The only condiments I want on fried fish is lemon juice, malt vinegar or hot sauce.
I think I would go for the peas. It really looked delicious.

How did you forget what baked beans were your nuts haha, fancy not having vinegar that is scandalous, the curry sauce and beans would be my fav although I don't eat fish that did look nice. Josh is doing well especially after all the other challenges you had done.
Jealous. Fish n chips is one of my all time favorites, although I have to eat mine with just lemon and tartar sauce. Haha. Is that unusual in the UK? Never see anyone use tartar 😂

Hey Max we here in Canada have all sorts of fish 🐟 but here in Manitoba Winnipeg we fish for Pickerel I'm a good little fisherperson the fish is light tasting and only cook in some butter fo a few mins mm delicious 🇨🇦🤤👍😎🍁 great job 👍

Fish and chips are a total comfort food in my world. My favorite fish 🐟 is halibut, followed very closely by cod. Strange for someone raised in the prairie province of Alberta in Canada 🇨🇦.
