I, strongly recommend that every CPC obtain the COC next. It literally picks up right where the CPC left off and this would give you both the pro fee side, CPC and facility side, COC of coding. That makes for one very well rounded coder who can then move on to the more specialized aspects of medicine like CRC, CPMA, CPCO and CPPM.
Again, if you are currently a CPC or studying to be a CPC, your very BEST moves are as follows:
    CPC, COC, CPMA, CRC
There is literally NO FLOW after CPC and COC because literally the CRC, CPMA, CPCO and CPPM are hugely independent and highly specialized from each other and branch off from the CPC and COC.
    That said:
Do not do CPMA if you cringe at the idea of auditing other coders work in the future.
Do not do the CPCO if knowing the administrative and regulations side of healthcare makes you want to jump off a cliff.
Do not take the CPPM if you can't stand the idea of developing and managing people.
Like I said, what matters most to me is your best interest so think it through. Be very mindful of the PreSale promotion expiration dates but whatever you decide, BE DECISIVE! You know how i feel about decisive people..don't make me make more videos on that..lol!

I encourage anyone watching this vidéo to not doubt. Mrs. Ortega is the best teacher and biggest blessing in this industry. This info is gold. After believing, I have completed CPC, COC AND CRC and already making a 6 figure income salary easily; I haven't even tapped into OUTPATIENT yet! You really are competition in the office the more credentialed you are. I intend to complete the CPMA and CPCO as well. Invest in yourself, you're worth it. ✨️

MCA will be putting out a CCS course in the future but I would not recommend it to coders who have no real coding experience in the industry. I would however recommend it for coders who are 2- years seasoned and have been exposed to major clinical procedures and gained a ton of clinical knowledge by working as a CPC coder in the field. Furthermore while the outpatient industry takes on new professionals with no experience, the inpatient industry almost never does. So there you go doll thank it through!

@@MedicalCodingAcademy thank you so much for explaining that! I was a little lost as to which credential to obtain after my CPC. There are so many to choose from.
