This is true I went to school for coding in 2003 and I’m still not certified but I will be this year thanks to MCA. I completed an externship with the promise of a job I never received. I spent over 25,000 dollars that am still paying off. That was all a money making plot to me and I was promised so much from that school.

You are not alone. This same thing happened to me. I have an associates degree in health information technology but didn’t learn any useful skills or even get any help on what to study to pass the RHIT test or even pass the CCA certification test through AHIMA. I also had to do an externship which was at a pharmacy. All I had to do was watch what they did and write a paper about my observation. I was baffled because I wasn’t going to school to be a pharmacist or a pharmacy technician. But I was at the end of the program and had spent thousands so I continued with it until I received my degree. I wish I would have stumbled on MCA before I decided to go to that college. But I am happy I found this program and I hope to take and pass the CPC exam in a few months. I pray that I will get a job easily without any experience as so many others have been able to do.

I experience the same & I openly speak on all my paths of education/experience. I was informed that it was a group violation to promote apps/programs that aren’t affiliated with the company. If you consistently break this rule you will get removed no matter that you are certified and when I ask questions re: how to code or how to get a certain thing passed a CCI edit you get crickets. So I no longer post and I just randomly check the group to see if any updates have been released for the industry prior to them being printed.

The benefit factor for me in getting my increased/better position, was I already had a background in billing in which I hit the ceiling on salary without being in a mgmt position. When I went for Coding only positions, I had to decline multiple offers due to low pay in DFW, TX. I am currently working a dream career remotely @ a company as a Medical Biller & Coder, I didn’t have to compromise my goal salary. Also learnt many of my fellow coworkers can also give testament of MCA’s programs as we all have utilized your training methods, tabbing system, flash cards, study manuals, & exam kits; not just to pass test but also presently in real work world. I occasionally reach out to MCA when stumped via text or email & they always respond/help. You all are a blessing to my growth.

Thanks for the information, but maybe it depends on the State were you live or were you are applying. I know here in Philadelphia you won't get a job straight out of Coding school. , Mostly all the companies want 2 years or more experience. I this State you have to , 1. Have your foot in the door already at a hospital this can help.
Actually getting the job has nothing to do with your state. I just checked our school database and it turns out we have tons of students who live in Philadelphia that are booming in their careers and who had no experience . Mrs. Ortega there is a lot of missed information about this program. People are saying that it not easy even taking your classes. I want to take Coding but I just don't have the money to get rip off. Please take this MCA course. You will not regret it, I certainly did not. I passed the CPC test the first time. Mrs Ortega is a vessel of God, anointed to teach coding material, and she loves her students. I have never heard of any teacher ,other than Mrs Ortega, who would be on her face before God, praying her students would finish testing successfully. Just recognize greatness, because her enemies certainly do.
Yes, I hear alot of bootcamp do not work or you just get to pass the certification but not to actually code on the job. Which is something everyone wants. I looked at andrews school it was good ,more pricey but i liked the how to code when you get like tested on trying to land the job and I reached out because i was interested in CPC and CCS . That was benwfit CCS .but no it didnt include practicode only schooling. Which you offer at lower price . I have gone to a private place for medical coding and billing and thousands wasted at Northwest college for NHA not coding credential. Thats why I have been asking like does your school equal the 1 year they require for educational from AAPC and you said yes. I WAS BEYOND happy .there are alot of things confusing out there. I have taken AAPC class for CPPM a year ago and honestly i was kinda lost, now im getting study guide hope is good for the exam this year. But I still need my CPC which im taking this yeelar with you !

Believe me we will exceed your every expectation I say that because our program not only prepares you for the test but it also prepares you for real world coding! What the use in having a credential if you cant code! And yes our school equals the one year of experience. Its 80 hours. Believe it or not our 3 previous 3 day course was also 80 hours. Some people thought it was literally only 3 day but there was tons of prework that had to be completed before the 3 days and tons of postwork to be completed after the 3 days.
