Finally a teacher who is actually "for the people" I had the privilege of speaking to her on the phone directly and I could feel her genuine heart the right the phone! She asked me so many questions...cared more about getting to know me than anything else...I felt like the most important person..she's one of a kind!

Oh my poor daughter took this course in Community College because it was supposed to be much cheaper, BIG FAT LIE. She gave up on coding because apart from not being as affordable she found it hard to learn and pass the test.
I wish we could've found your school 5 yrs ago. It would have been so much better for her. Well now shes gone on into a different career but i enrolled in Mrs. Ortegas course and im so grateful for it. I truly feel like i made the right choice. And i dont feel taken advantage of. 👍👍👍👍

I agree! It is tempting to buy an all-in-one program, which is what I did. I’m unhappy with the boring curriculum and the instructor’s inadequate audio files (from 2017!) But I have to finish it to get my paid-for exam voucher and AAPC membership. I’m now also enrolled in Medical Coding Academy with the interesting and engaging materials and the up to date, wonderfully produced videos. I’m excited to learn with Mrs. Ortega! Currently color coding my code books (wish I’d been able to choose which publisher to use, but I’m making do).

It is a breath of fresh air to have the facts honestly laid out before you. It is one thing to decide you want to improve oneself but have laid out before you all the hidden financial hurdles makes the task easier. As is stated is other videos medical coding is a tough skill to master; especially when obtaining certification. The last thing one needs is the worry about financial issues. This video lays it all out. If you are on a budget, need correct training, need to land that job. This is where you need to be.

She is a phenomenal teacher. Here is my story about my certification that is coming up. As I was looking for some alternative tools to pass my CPC exam, I came across Mrs. Ortega's videos on UA-cam. I clicked one about modifiers. While I was listening, I felt very motivated to try the exam again. The way she delivered her teaching was inspiring and very informative. So I decided to call the number and ask for more information about the course. Other courses are very expensive, so I did not pursue them. But Mrs. Ortega's course is affordable. I enrolled in the course and that was the best decision that I made. Her course is helpful and motivating. She discussed each section thoroughly. She gave her students the tools to succeed. Before, I did not know about code sequencing when I went to school for medical billing and coding. My instructor did not tell us the exact or best way to pass the certification. We were being taught only the basics, not the exact and relevant way. And these basics came at a higher price than Mrs. Ortega's class. Mrs. Ortega's class helped me boost my confidence to take the exam again. I can tell that I am fully equipped and ready for the next chapter of my career. I will be forever grateful to Mrs. Ortega and to all the staff who made this happen. Keep up the good work and please continue to help students achieve certification. Thank you all. :-D.
