you all prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@Bridger Enzo i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Wow. Puppy is one tight ensemble. So much to love. The playing is inspired. What can we say about the drummer other than to say that he is incredibly gifted. The guitar solo shreds. Cool interplay with the horn section at the end of the tune.
Man these guys are so fantastic! The sound quality of this recording is top notch. The audio on this video is probably the best I have heard on You Tube.
I enjoy the comments for SP videos, I often learn a lot. Below there are discussions about the time signature (I'll listen for what they're talking about), "the lick", I'll have to check out "Scofield circa 1986" is all about.
I was Talking About Ryan Ginsberg He really pissed me off This C Group Has Musicians that even 30 years ago would have kick ass I know because I was Playing Then And Everyone of these young ;lions is Sensational Snarys Puppy is one of the Greatest groups t come out in 30 years
jlycc butuan a sign of true musicianship and syncopation. The first time time I heard this track I was so blown away. Also they plaid this song faster than they usually do (which is already a pretty hot tempo) and STILL nail it. Genius
It's always 4/4, but there are incredible amounts of polirythmics. On the chorus, for example, they play an accent every five 16th notes, so it becomes a 5 against 4. Same happens on Larnell's solo. The main theme of the song is 5 against 4.
That crowd is doing what every crowd should do when good musicians are playing, which is to shut tf up and listen instead of making the show about themselves.
The music is perfect. It's very interesting how they invest so much talent and time in their music but not a single dime in improving their barbeque outfits... next time try and spend some couple hundred bucks in nice fancy clothing for stage performance. The music deserves it!
@@lukavanrensburg7041 yeah right they can wear whatever they like, even going on-stage in diapers with balloons tied to them... but you can't deny the fact that if the audience is paying for a decent show, therefore you as a musician must invest in some decent stage clothes to honor that time and money people are willing to pay to see you perform at your best. It is a way to demonstrate respect to your audience. Giving them something they did not ask for, but something that they deserve.
Guitar solo is SO Scofield circa 1986. Just the sound and space and well, just everything. Love it.
That's so true man!

Thanks so much, you saved my account!
@Alfonso Lucas Happy to help xD
yoooooooo what was he doing at 4:15 with the high hat I was mindblown
+Joe Egland He's dragging his stick vertically along the hi hats while slightly opening them, making for a really cool effect
Thank you for you answer !! I was asking myself :D
It's called the reverse cymbal/hi-hat trick. He does a video on it with Evans Drumheads. It's cool af
look at mark`s face ahahahah
That's Gavin Harrison * Danney Carey level of hi-hats

Larnell lewis got even better from the recording which i didn't think was possible to even get to such a skill level.
Let's remember the moment at 1:42 where they go from nothing to one of the sickest beats I've ever heard in less than a second.
Michael league going full floor gang so that we can see Larnell clearly and then everyone copying him😍😍
Such an awesome and wholesome band
This song never fails to blow my mind
Man these guys are so fantastic!

Oh man, what a great live take of this track!
This band is a miracle, unbelievable!
Merci RTL....Snarky Puppy...Ca Chaufe !!!!

5:15 The Lick!!!
Hahahah beat me to it. Nice lol
@DrumlineBaller I love it when that happens
I don't get it
The bass fass is strong in this one.
Vous jouez comme des fous les mecs...c'est super.
Great band! Definitely more Fusion oriented. Odd meter beats. Kind of reminds me of Groove Collective, Dave Weckl, Billy Cobham, etc..
I fucking love how the trumpets are audible at 9:13 in this version. The one thing I hate about the album release of this song tbh
Marks face at 7:45
Let's make some Memes outta that pls :D
Larnell Lewis? WOW!!!
Egads wtf they've flooded my mind musically awesome I'm a fan
It's cool how at the end ppl's clapping synced.
Ok what’s that’s whipping sound on the stairs around 4:20?
4:15 how did you do that with the hi hat?
Check his video on Zildjian live .. search Larnel Lewis Zildjian Live, and you will be able to see what he does with his hi hat.. it's hard to explain
He slides the drum stick with the hit hat closed
ça groove grave
5:21 mark lettieri- big duck
Great catch!
Mark and Larnell are Beast !
I love it
wow dudes, this was insane
7:22 🔥🔥🔥
5:14...Lalah's famous "lik" known as "the lik" lol i started laughing so hard(in a good way obviously) it made me happy haha.
Lalah's?
Maybe for Lalah Hathaway
@@FrankBarreda It's a famous jazz run that is apparently 'overused' too much, but it sounds good anyway. It's known as 'The Lick'.
I heard it and went straight to the comments to see if anyone else picked it up 😂
This particular track has the DNA of Mahavishnu Orchestra, with McLaughlin, Cobham et al
LARNELL ❤️💪 !
As much of a beast as Mark is, the first half of the guitar solo in this tune at least will never be as good without Lanzetti!
hard agree. he has such a quirky style that the solos never follow the same path twice
Is michel leuog is the best music brain of our time?
Yes, he is
5:14 the lick
When I saw that 8/9 in the title of the video, I though that they are going to make the audience clap in 8/9 rhythm lol
Magnifique
How TF can you NOT like this video???
Another mind blowing version!
7:41
Tight tight tiggggggghhhhhhhhht!!!!!!!!!

Anybody got weather report?
what is the time signature of this song?
jlycc butuan it's all 4/4...
jlycc butuan a sign of true musicianship and syncopation. The first time time I heard this track I was so blown away. Also they plaid this song faster than they usually do (which is already a pretty hot tempo) and STILL nail it. Genius
its mostly 4/4, theres like 4 or 5 bars of 5/4 and 4 or 5 bars of 7/8 scattered around to even things out

Bruno Recagno the rhythm difficulty is when they play groupes 5 sixteenth notes repeatedly
one comment only.... fackin' awesome. And nice Van Halen t-shirt
Unfortunately, I can't hear the percussionist and bearly hear the Bass player.
genius band
Stupendous!!! Only downside was the non-jazz audience, who didn’t feel the need to give any love after any of the solos... :( Larnell is a beast!
It may be they were asked not to as it was in a studio I believe? Larnell is truly the max!
5:14 L I C C
LMAO
Awesome!
✌ ❤ 🎶 👏
Musicos Intergalacticos !
あー かっけー!!
HOLYCRAP
@4:14 solo guitarist (forgot his name) be like larnell bro stop, this is my time to shine

04:15 THAT ONE STROKE, Only Master Lewis

Fast!

david bowie
worst camera angles ever
so much that this band does was done better 30 years ago. I don't understand why people bother listening to them try and copy the greats
+Ryan Ginsburg can you give som recomendations
I'm sure this is the only snarky puppy track you heard...
i dont agree with Ginsburg, but maybe he refers to the classic fusion Groups of the late 70s like Weather Report?
Jan See yeah that's what I thought to. But I think SP puts a contemporary twists and makes it their own
You don’t get out much do you kind friend?
That was awesome as usual, except for the disappointing guitar solo, that sounded awful to me
How was that solo awful? it was progressive, intricate and extremely technical?!
I love guitar, but somehow with snark puppy guitar solo is the least enjoyable part, and it’s extra long in this one.
The sound of these guys kinda gets predictable after a while.
SomeLittleShoe
Lol what
Even though its predictable,it is still an eargasm
