+JJ JJ And the third guitarist? Yeah, there's three of 'em. I have tickets to see them in May and I'm wondering who all will be there. On their dvds they usually have 3 guitarists+1 drummer+1 percussionist+1 bassist+3 or 4 keyboardists+3 or 4 horn players, which adds up to about 13 people, give or take. I hope all 13 of them are present when I see 'em that's all I know. The more, the merrier.
They dont generally tour with the full roster which is much more than just 13 people actually. Normally they either take Mark or Bob on guitar, Shaun or Corey for keys(Jason is normally always there playing rhodes and trumpet.), Larnel or Sput, sometimes Louis Cato but i've seen em a lot and hes never been there. Basically thy just bring whats necessary, also all of these dudes are in multiple other bands that also tour and gig often so its tough. Speaking from experience, my band is 8-15 people but for certain shows you just have to be as minimalist as possible depending on venue and scheduling conflicts.
Bill Laurence(other keys player) doesnt tour with them a lot either since he lives in the UK. which is also another thing to consider, its not like all these guys live in the same places and see each other every day.
I was NOT ready for that initial horn entrance!! They killed it!
E Grantham They did! The horn section is soooo tight, also at 4:30!! Incredible!!
This looks like the most chilled out jazz festival ever.
8:14 the most beautiful horn arrangement of all time
