Some more Meatys: After Throw: fully charged hp, after back throw -> hp phalanx, after lp Dimachaerus -> fully charged df hp, after medium Dimachaerus -> fully charged medium Gladius
For anti-airs, her parry works surprisingly well. Even if they cross you up, you do the follow up and you usually end up spaced away enough that you're out of the situation. If your lucky, the followup will auto correct and you'll get a knockdown. If they empty jump, you can command grab.
I am pretty new to Street Fighter and I picked Marisa as a beginner main. I made so many Ken player that were comboing me like crazy (They were better than me) just rage quit because I stole their win. I feel like Marissa, despite having a nice array of tools, rely a lot on the mind game. You hunt for the opponent mistakes and punish them as hard as you can. At least, that's my first impression, I am not good enough to put pressure and not mash buttons yet.
Also, marisa fans: if you do cr mp into drive rush, you can actually get a standing MK before doing 4HP. Looks awkward, but it works cr mp as he said isn't a great button, but in neutral it's good to buffer it into 234+LK. You get some good push back and you can gain a ton of ground by going right into 234+HK. If done right the step kick will be 0f on block and you'll be point blank in front of them. Spacing is very important and you absolutely only want to whiff punish with the cr MP because that light step kick WILL get punished if they block the cr MP.
As a Tekken player first, then Street Fighter player secondly, I love new channels showcasing stuff I can't get to while playing other games. I love this character, so thanks for the jump start. Subscribed. 😁👍
First guide I have seen that seems planned and thought out. Well done staying concise and covering the most important points, I learned a lot from this, especially about the corner play!
This is it, it's finally here. This is the type of guide I've been looking for. Liked it and I'll definitely be coming back here later to lab out some of these situations. Thanks for the excellent video!
I thought i knew a pretty good amount about Marisa, but one thing I definitely learned that's new was that that +42 basically means a safe jump, such a useful thing to know and I'll incorporate that into my game, thanks!
Thanks a bunch man, I'll probably need to watch it a few times for this all to sink in, but as long as I stop relying on cr.LP I should start getting much better damage and setups. Also for that last comment about Drive Reversal, I'd argue even that isn't great against Marisa. If her gameplan heavily revolves around Gauge chip like ya say, a 2-bar PLUS whatever they've already blocked button JUST to get back to neutral isn't exactly winning
Can you do guides for all characters? I watched all your guides now and you are fantastic, unbelievable knowledge of fighting games and frame data, you’re very clever. I’d favourite all your guides if you make them.
I appreciate this, I will think about it. I only really enjoy doing guides on characters that I like playing. I feel if I did a guide on a character I didn’t want to play or have no interest in, it wouldn’t be as good. I will consider it though.
Oh I'm definitely gonna study this video in detail. So much stuff I didn't know about her kit even though I managed to drag myself into platinum with her. Would also be interested in a Lily video
i love Marisa, shes my favorite character in the game, but im stuck in gold and whats annoying is that i know im not playing her character to her full potential, i always forget to convert, the combos, the anti-airs, and my reaction time is practically nonexistent, so reacting to DI and jump ins is just i have not managed to do so far :D. Great video, thank you for the breakdown. :)
Back heavy into drive rush back heavy phalanx is significantly easier than what the try to have you do in combo trials. In advanced 3 they try to have you drive rush into cMP, OD Phalanx into level 1
Just subbed u deserve it, this guide was beautifully made. I need help with the counter into grab. I get hit out of the counter a lot when im tryna go for it and am wondering how it works exactly
Thanks for the guide. Im a Marisa main and just hit platinum with her, but the thing is i had to really work to get there. The stuff in here i think is gonna really help me go to the next level. I wanna get at least to diamond, im not even gonna think about master until then.
Awesome guide dude, its what I have been looking for since release! Now I have a use for standing heavy charged kick, that meaty setup is so good. A cammy guide would be pretty sweet, my mate plays her and it would be cool to learn how to deal with her pressure, and what I need to respect. Liked and Subscribed!
You can also get charged overhead without needing drive rush. I found it easier to time. I'm having issues right mainly with stopping cross ups and how to use the stance. Thanks for the video.
after 214+lp you can do fully charged 3.hp, and if you do it as soon as you recover from 214.lp its like exactly perfect. On ch you can get mp target combo, but it's super tight timing on that. it doesn't really work against backwards wakeup tho, they end up too far away.
11:11 another AWESOME & stylish follow-up to OD superman punch on a cornered opponent is scutum>enfold... ... Natural combo & healthy damage. This is a great option if you don't have any [or much] super art meter, or you don't want to spend the bar for whatever reason.
Watching this to get a clue how to beat her lmao. Watching your streams the last couple of days your play is godlike! Not a surprise from you, still impressive.
Question: what is the best control set mode to play Marisa? Classic, Modern or Dynamic? I’m trying to use a classic set control for it is giving me trouble for combos using the Drive Rush.
First you use gladius then you use charged gladius to cover it then u ex gladius then gladius on wakeup
You got it bro lol
This guy knows whats up!
Gladius Gaming
Whenever my friends see me playing street fighter they always say " I'm Gladius gaming again"
"Glad he is"

For sure will keep the same format, I’m really glad you liked the guide it means a lot

Yeah I know about this OS but I was saving it for a tips and tricks video

Def subbed ima main her and this guide is extensive enough for me to feel confident in her game plan
First character guide I've seen that explains how to practically use a fighter's toolkit in a match
Love this character. It feels to good to get that Command grab off lol. Thanks for this tutorial gonna add that charge knee into my moveset
Glad you like it bro.
An excellent Meaty I've been using is Drive Rush MK. It has four active frames making it lenient and links into backHP for a combo.
Thanks, dude. These kinds of in-depth guides are exactly what I am looking for. Subscribed and eager for more. Marisa is fun, probably gonna main her.

Best resource I've found so far for Marisa. I really appreciate it

Punches that hit like kicks
Kicks that hit like punches
Truly Marisa is a master at the Art of Self Defense

I was looking for a good anti-airs, but using her parrys may be a good idea, thanks for this Guide.!! Excellent Marisa Info.!!
Finally I can produce Drunk Dad Damage
You have a dad?? Lucky
Jump back jab on cross up reaction is pretty reliable as an answer I've found. Not super great but its an option.
Ay K7 at around 5:30 you talk about her back medium punch but you meant back heavy
W guide bruh. You went pretty in depth with her but kept it mad simple at the same time. Appreciate you gang
Finally some good fucking Marisa discussion. Good stuff.
Thanks for the Guide Showoff. I've been seeing some replays from you and have also learned a little more about the character.

Amazing work. Please do more guides like these for other characters ❤
Great guide! I'll definitely revisit this for those juicy meaty setups when I take a look at her more in the future.
Great vid! Would love to see some match analysis/breakdowns of your games to see what goes through your mind as you play someone with similar skill.
Thanks for the idea!
Been trying to get Marisa out of Plat 1, this guide has some great tips. Thank you!
Good footing to get started. Appreciate you k7
No worries bro
Oh I'm definitely gonna study this video in detail. So much stuff I didn't know about her kit even though I managed to drag myself into platinum with her.

Thank you. You don't know how much I needed this. I love the character but didn't know how to play her.

This is an excellent guide...as a marisa main this was was very helpful thank you
Wonderful guide. I learned a lot. Time to train all these! The back heavy punch with drive dash combo is a bit hard to press. btw
Back heavy into drive rush back heavy phalanx is significantly easier than what the try to have you do in combo trials. In advanced 3 they try to have you drive rush into cMP, OD Phalanx into level 1
The GOAT with the best Marisa, thanks for the vid
I had no idea you had an UA-cam channel. Thank you for the guide man, I learned a lot.
Awesome tutorial man. Right on the money. Covered so much
Just subbed u deserve it, this guide was beautifully made. I need help with the counter into grab. I get hit out of the counter a lot when im tryna go for it and am wondering how it works exactly
So glad this guide wasn’t focused on her armor moves 😂. Great job on this.
Nice vid, i dived into world tour after day 1/2 and this seems like a nice catch up for Marisa (and looking forward to a Jamie vid too)
Bro your a beast! Marisa is so fun to play. GLADIUS!
This was great to cover gaps ive been missing thank you
Amazing guide! Thanks for the lessons
Great guide! I've been playing Marisa and this will absolutely help level up my game
Thanks for the guide. Im a Marisa main and just hit platinum with her, but the thing is i had to really work to get there. The stuff in here i think is gonna really help me go to the next level. I wanna get at least to diamond, im not even gonna think about master until then.

Great video man, I got a clearer look at her offensive options now 😁 thx
Glad I could help
23:00 IIRC it is drive REVERSAL, just like V-reversal.
Thanks for the info I'll be using your tips and tricks. 💪
thank you boss, always love seeing you play

Bro! Subbed, thank you for your work.
Love a guide that skips the beginner stuff and just goes for practical gameplay things. Nice vid
Nice video, I gave up on Marrisa but after watching this informative video I might wanna try using her again.
Superb guide K7 - thank you for this. I'd love to see a JP guide
Just what I needed! Thanks :D
Very detailed and interesting guide!
Thank you I needed this.
Thank you very much for the great video! Please do Ryu next!
This is amazing man, cheers
Excellent character vid.
Can you make an optimal combo guide for her? It would be helpful to know how to maximize her damage
Marisa's fully charged 2HP [from neutral jump] is VERY plus since it causes a knockdown. It may even be a hard KD.
This is exactly what I needed
8:06 burnout adds 4 frames only on block
W K7, imma def use this if i decide to pick her up
I'm looking for someone with decent to advanced skills in this game to help me get better. Everyone I fight just leaves whether I win or lose
Marisa guide
Drive rush into target Medium punch then if someone attacks you throw up guard that’s is all thx
thank you for this K7
The low f+MP target combo is good for Scutum setups
11:11 another AWESOME & stylish follow-up to OD superman punch on a cornered opponent is scutum>enfold...
... Natural combo & healthy damage. This is a great option if you don't have any [or much] super art meter, or you don't want to spend the bar for whatever reason.
"keep that in mind" x132
super informative and helpful~
Great vid! Subbed
Lovely guide!
Thanks bro I appreciate it 🤝🏽
goated video
god bless u k7
Also wanted to say thanks, good shit, but decided to post a new comment to do it; hoping the extra "engagement" gooses the algorithm a little.
Goat
Thank you for the guide
It’s Gladius time.
wanna add they can 4 frame mash out of your crouching jab gattling
Just more Marisa vids mate. And Kimberly when they buff her back up again after her savage nerfing
All you need to get her down pact. Appreciate you.
Sick video!
Watching this to get a clue how to beat her lmao. Watching your streams the last couple of days your play is godlike! Not a surprise from you, still impressive.

Always love watching your streams (~:

Maining Marisa and Jamie. Might pick up Ryu or Guile as a solid pocket
Damn that’s exactly what I was thinking from my first few days of playing. Changing it up now😭
