The real question is what machine will you wish for? There are so many options on the market now and they appear to become faster and less bulky every day.
Winnie, I think your final 3D sign is outstanding. For my shop I can't really justify the expense. For the small number of 3D pieces I use I have purchased those online from others who do have a laser. Maybe some day. Thanks for Sharing!
My pleasure. Regarding cost, the machines on the market now versus even a year ago are becoming smaller and less expensive with just as much power packed in. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could pick one up one at a great price very soon. But agree it also depends on your need :)
@@standishwoodstory Winnie, yes as a casual observer I've been watching price changes on Laser Printers for a while. There also seems to be a developing "Used" market for these machines. I sincerely hope you continue to share video's like this one to bring those of us less educated along down the path. Your sign was quite impressive.🙃🙂
I decided on this model based on research and suggestions from a friend who owns the same model. However the laser market has exploded this last year and today I may consider the xtool as it appears to have a smaller footprint, same or more power at a competitive price.
I don’t have a laser, or any real big machinery, biggest for meis my contractor table saw and my miter saw, I just don’t have the room, would I buy one if I had space/money? Perhaps not, I love the idea of muscle power and using that grey matter I have (at least I think I have). Each to their own I guess. As I read in the comments if I needed anything I would ask someone who had one. Edit, now what he’d to the end, super looking sign, goes down well with the guests I’m guessing😂🍺🍺🍺🍺

Have you ever tried a smaller laser for this type of project?
No I just have the one laser in my shop, but a smaller one would for sure work as each letter/graphic was pretty little for this project.
