Thanks for watching, Let me know which project you are going to make first 😊 and please show me your finished work by sending it via email.
Love to see a women and Canadian at that doing these videos. Love to see your mishaps and corrections in the video. Instructions are great! I would remove the music though.
Thank you for your support and feedback, much appreciated :)
I watched several of your Christmas projects last night and was impressed with your work. Your projects are simple and fun to make and of course to share. Here comes a but, I don't know how long you have been doing this type of work, and I am jealous of your shop, but it is important that you explain your techniques and refer to your tools accurately. The clamp that is mounted on your workbench is actually a 'vice,' and I am not saying a naughty deed. I am not a pro, but just anal about spelling and names. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching :)
Great Projects! Love that live edge 🔥💜🔥
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice projects.
When I’m making candle holders I use a forstner bit 1 1/2” for tea lights. I find it a little easier to control than a spade bit.
That is great advice, thank you, I have following invested in a Forstner bit set myself and I fully agree that it makes for much quicker work :)
crooked tree, I think you need a sled for cutting at an angle on a band saw❤
Try tilting your head to get a better view. Thanks for watching!
Great woodworking! I am going to make the Christmas tree…..
Excellent @joemissanelli3395! Feel free to send me some pictures at info@standishwoodstory.com and I will feature you in my weekly newsletter:)
I just recently discovered your channel and already find myself looking for more and more of your videos. One thing that respect about this video was that you didn’t edit out a “mistake” and instead used it as a teachable moment for the rest of us. Thank you for your work and these videos really are helpful. God bless
Thank you so much for the kind feedback, really appreciate it 😊
I’m a Christmas tree kinda gal, the more the merrier, so number 2 first then 1 then 3 cos cards are not so popular here,
Thx for showing, greetings 🇩🇪
Thanks for sharing. The 2nd one is also my favourite ❤️
These are great, straightforward gift ideas. I like anything to do with candles so the candle holder is right up my alley. Tip: Be sure to get your letter out to Santa in the North Pole about wanting a drill press for Christmas! 🎄🎅🏻
Glædelig jul!
Great tip indeed 💌 …. Hopefully Santa can help me decide which one to get too ;)
3 projects, each with clear instruction in under 16 minutes. That's outstanding! Thanks for the ideas from the video! Well done!
You are most welcome, I’m glad you found the video useful :)
Your honesty is SO refreshing! Fun projects.
Thanks for watching @iguesi and I am glad you liked the video. Many more vids coming!
I liked the candle holders
Hard to choose, but the Christmas tree candle holder isnmy favorite🌲🕯️
Thanks for watching and I definitely like the Christmas Candle Tree as well 😍
These all seem pretty straightforward to make. Thanks for sharing!!!
Glad you like them!
Winnie, I love the candle holder. I've learned that when you combine 2 or more different types of wood you usually end up with an unexpected and usually surprisingly pleasant final result. I suspect I'll be heading out to the scrap pile tomorrow to see what I have waiting to become this candle holder. I'll send a picture once it is done. Thanks for Sharing!
I look forward to seeing how your candle holders turns out with your scrap wood, and fully agree combining woods always lead to fun and unique combinations:)
Really like the second option with candle. Well done.
Thank you! 😁
I love the candle holder. Your work is very inspiring! Thank you.
Thank you so much @arawtgabi! I have only been woodworking for 6+months and am completely addicted to it:)
Отличная работа👍

Det er rigtig fint😊
Tak :)

Thanks and will do @larrystone5749. More woodworking videos are coming👍
I really respect that you didn't hide your mistake 🎄. Great projects!
Thank you and I personally find that 80% of woodworking is learning what to do when things do go wrong or as non intended, ‘happy accidents’ right :)
Hello from Texas- just found your channel and love your work !Definitely love the candle holder - can’t wait to see what else you do -God bless
Hello @SissieKelley714, thank you so much for your positive feedback. Comments like this are great motivators to share my love of woodworking with our community. Onwards and upwards!
Who plays guitar? Looks like a nice Fender Amp there!
Hello @dgperforms1, my husband and daughters have been known to strum a chord or two. Thanks for watching 👍
Nice job! Like the card holder, mostly because of the beautiful wood. You are going to be amazed when you finally get a drill press. I can't believe I went so long without one.
Thanks. I do need a drill press lol. Any recommendations for which one to get? Or what features to look for?
@@standishwoodstory This is the one I got because I just wanted a bench top. I didn't have the need for a floor model JET JWDP-12, 12-Inch Benchtop Drill Press, 1/2HP, 1Ph 115V (716000)
I like that I don't have to change belt location when changing the speed on it
👍💯👍💯
😊
I love the Christmas card holder! I don’t have a table saw, is there another tool I could use to make this?
Yes this could also be done with a router with a small straight bit and a straight edge to ride along 🙂
I really like the candle holder. I am curious though, why use a sharpie on wood?
The thicker sharpie line makes it much easier to see when cutting the pieces using a bandsaw or jigsaw. However I did learn a lesson, do not add sharpie to the end-grain part of the wood as the ink soaked into the grain making it more difficult to sand off after. I may switch to a caulk pen in the future.
I like the realtor christmas card joke at the end and cool and simple projects🎉🪵
Thank you
We like the Christmas tree candle holder, that's cute. A question, my wife and I were trying to figure out is where your accent came from. Please share and settle a small debate.
Thank you, and happy to help you settle the debate but you’ll have to promise to tell me who the winner was ;) my accent is Danish. Born and raised in 🇩🇰 Denmark. However been living in Canada 🇨🇦 for the past 19 years. Who won?
@standishwoodstory I said Canadian, but my wife thought maybe polish. She says that makes me the winner!!!!
Boo yaa!!! We enjoy your channel, thanks for the reply.
Blessings on you.
@@standishwoodstoryI knew it , lm living in Finland, so I guessed right 👍
@@papaduckyawesome thanks for sharing the result, and also thanks for the support :)
@@Poikka65nice, those Scandinavian accents can be tricky to figure out, guess it takes one to guess one ;)
Would you ever use a jigsaw to cut out the Christmas tree projects?
Yes if you don’t have a bandsaw a jigsaw is a great option. Look at scrolling blades as these offer better flexibility making it a bit easier to get around the curved
