    This was a fun build. Let me know what you think in the comments. If you have anything you'd like to see me build here leave that in the comments too. I'm always looking for new ideas!

      Nice board! What grit paper are you using on your Drum Sander?

      @johnbaker7182 Usually 80 for the rough stuff, but I'll run it from 36 to 220 depending on the project.

    The cutting board turned out really nice. Well done, young man.
    It hits the perfect balance between not being boring, and not being an optical illusion. Therefor an attractive usable cutting board.
    Boring is very safe to actually use as a cutting board, but optical illusion cutting boards aren't, and should probably only be used for decoration. Imo.
    You're easy to listen to, and obviously a skilled woodworker. Subscribed.

      Thank you! I agree on the design being useable. I think it could handle it with proper care and maintenance without looking too beat up.

    your video was nicely done my friend. I enjoy woodworking, because it provides me peace of mind and it forces me to focus. I am a fly by the seat of my pants kind of guy here. I wish you much success with your channel . I look forward to watching your channel grow..

      Thank you! When I was younger I had no patience for most things but, like you, woodworking made me slow down and focus. Maybe too much sometimes but it's definitely good for my mind. These multi day, multi glue up cutting boards will definitely test your patience though.

    Still awake. Nice work. I need a drum sander...

      Ha! Thanks for staying awake and watching until the end.
      After 20+ years of doing this I finally bought the sander last year. It's been one of the most used tools in the shop ever since. Should have bought one long ago.

    Looks great. They are the best woods to use for cutting boards.

      @woodnotestudio It's amazing how many patterns you can make with just these three as your main wood species. Love the contrast.

    What router table is that you were using? And thank you for the video. Amazing piece

    • @EvolutionWoodworks
      @EvolutionWoodworks  Місяць тому

      Thank you! It's actually a Freud folding table that I've had for probably close to 20 years. I don't even see it available anymore. The closest one I've seen is this from Rockler amzn.to/4dHFgXk
      I have a full sized table that I built before that but it is usually covered in a pile of routers and bits so I just grab this one and set it up when need it.

    Great video. What are the blue clamps you were using? Are they a clamp and caul in one it looks like?

    • @EvolutionWoodworks
      @EvolutionWoodworks  Місяць тому +1

      They are panel clamps from Rockler. If you scroll down in the description I have links to them and some of the other tools and materials I use. Thanks for watching!
