The Talyllyn Railway Theme Suite

- This is the last old piece for awhile! I promise! Like the video says, this was my first original composition ever. As such, I am extremely proud of it. For some background, the Talyllyn Railway is a little narrow gauge line in Wales. Locomotives No. 1 and No. 2 (Talyllyn and Dolgoch) are two of the oldest operational steam engines in existence. They are both currently 152 years young and are continuing to work hard and delight people of all ages. If you think the locomotives look familiar, that's because the Talyllyn Railway was the basis for the Skarloey Railway of Thomas the Tank Engine fame, with most of the engines being of the same class and even using the same locomotive number as their Talyllyn counterparts. Due to this connection, and the fact that I was a manic Thomas fan growing up, I decided to base the song on The Skarloey Railway Theme by Mike O'Donnel and Junior Campbell. I hope you enjoy!

"If you should visit a place that has a lake in the woods and a beautiful waterfall, then you may also find two little engines called Talyllyn and Dolgoch. The engines know everybody and everybody knows them"
This sounds like it would have belong in season 4 of the series’s
Could you do a Blaenau ffestiniog/Welsh highland railway theme?
Someone should put this into "Railway with a Heart of Gold
Can't disrupt what's already there
I love this song! It sounds like the Skarloey railway theme, but that makes it bette to me as it is familiar
Skarloey railway mixed with Russian National Anthem.
The theme is perfect for this railway ^^
This music is awsome but i think its real theme Will do just fine
One frickin person disliked this! Remove the hater because this is flipping outstanding mate!
Probably an engine from the Other Railway. -_-
Uncultured bunch, the lot of 'em.
@@stutterysteamerproductions875 yeah. Could be that ruddy Sir Handel. He always wants the attention.
@@MiddletownBranchProd. Or the Diesel that came when Stepney was visiting. -_-
@@stutterysteamerproductions875 pfft. That Class 40 ‘s a joke. He knows jack sh*t about steam engines! Or proper railways in general!

But. Smudger is Green version of rheneas
@@cyanthecatastrophecosmicca2037 Nah Smudger was turned into a Generator so there are impossible chances of him Surviving
@@channelofthepeople-98 i know it. But, Rheneas is twin brother of Dead Smudger. And, he don't remember his green brother
I remember this!
I can imagine this when Talyllyn tells a story about his/her Railway.
Some of best music that I have heard and it really fits in to the Talyllyn Railway. I liked everything thin gone this page! :)
This fits the beautiful wee line SO well.
I like it. It’s like the skarloey railway theme except without the sorta feeling that their struggling to get by.
Lovely
I'm afraid Furness Railway No.20 beats Talyllyn and Dolgoch as the oldest working locos in the UK at 154 years old. Worldwide, "Fairy Queen" is the oldest working at 162 years old.
I've been lied to! Thank you for letting me know. I will change that now.
Maybe Edward knew FR No.20 in his young days!
This theme makes me feel cheerful especially going out side are we allowed to use this + credit will be given if not i understand and sorry if your outraged by this question
Go ahead!
Lion's Mane Orchestra thanks man will you be making more versions of this?
I've thought about it before, but I don't have any plans.
Lion's Mane Orchestra what about a s1-s2 version?
That isn't something i really want to do with this theme. It's like doing a S1-2 version of the Skarloey theme. It just doesn't quite work.
Sweet man! I used to listen to these!
Watching this just made my day 👍
Wow just wow amazing
Hello Skarloey.
uploaded on my Birthday nice
Well, happy birthday then!
@@lionsmaneorchestra1238 thanks
why does it sound like the soviet union national anthem
I don't know. It was not a conscious influence. This was my first piece, so I may have had some bleed, but I also was not very familiar with the Soviet national anthem and would have had no love for it if I was. It's probably just a coincidence.
So proud of you for presenting some of your oldest work without and kind of apologetic disclaimer or self deprecation. That's a sort of confidence I wish to master myself.
I'm proud of my first work. Without my first work, I wouldn't have my most recent work! ;)
@@lionsmaneorchestra1238 That's an excellent way to look at it and I'll remember that next time I look on older works of mine and feel embarrassed!
One thing about being an artist is you always end up looking back at your old works and cringing. It's part of the deal. The cringe is very tangible proof of how far you've come as an artist. :)
Yes
This sounds really nice
T'anks!
This railway makes me proud to be Welsh, and great music!
Could I use this in a video and credit you?
I responded on Soundcloud.
Would it be okay if I use this?
Go for it
Thank you very much! :D
@@KameronCousin No problem. Please remember to credit me as Lion's Mane Orchestra, and not Sudrian Ash Nazg.
Got it 👍 :)
