Clinical pharmacology is a medical subspecialty and they are usually involved in clinical trials with lots of opportunity in the Pharma industry. The training is based in hospitals and they do general medicine oncalls. There is opportunity to do PhD if interested in research.

Both radiology and ophthalmology are competitive and their entry is at ST1 Level i.e after foundation program.radiology is probably easier than ophthalmology.
FRCS is the exit exam for the surgical specialty which is required to obtain CCT.FRCP is only an honorary postnominal title which will need some reference and 5 years of MRCP. These are not degrees as most of us think. To answer simply- Mch/DM=CCT as per MCI.
Hi i have heard that some doctors have to WAIT for years to get their CCT and apply for Consultant positions. Is this true? Is it true that u could remain a trainee like forever ??
This is true for competitive specialty where people will wait for years to enter training or don't get a consultant job even after completion of CCT.no one can remain trainee forever as the training contract can be extended for maximum 6months only.

It was CESR-CP when I joined but now GMC regulations have changed. If you complete minimum year of training for a specialty, then you will get CCT, else you will get CESR. So I have moved to CCT.The application is same for all pathways. these are decided after you start training.

ST1 is equivalent to residency year 1. Either you can do standalone F2 or submit CREST form if you have already done FY1+FY2 equivalent posts in Bucharest.

It will be CCT, provided you stay in training for 60months. If you want them to consider your previous years of experience then you will get CESR and reduce years from training.

If you want to move to UK, why do you want to waste 3yrs in India which will not count towards your training in UK.its better to clear PLAB and enter psychiatry training at ST1 level.

Dermatology in general is a competitive specialty.however if you are looking for short term training then you should contact the hospital of your choice and explore MTI option.

CESR-CP or CCT is decided once you start your training and it's merely an administrative job. After CESR CP you get CESR as a degree.

You won't be eligible for training at ST1 Level after DNB.only option is middle grade non training posts

You will first need GMC registration (PLAB will help you get that) . After starting to work in the UK, only then you can apply for CESR.

PLAB is an easier exam to pass than FRCS.you cannot extend MTI visa but will need tier 2 visa separately to extend your stay.

Avoid CESR for gastro. PLAB is not mandatory for CCT/CESR but PLAB and IMT will offer you the best chances of being a gastroenterologist.

Dermatology in general is a competitive specialty.however if you are looking for short term training then you should contact the hospital of your choice and explore MTI option.
Hello Sir, After Joining as a Registrar in UK how many years does it take for CCT? Is it Fixed or variable? Do we have to Prepare for any exam for CCT?
Training is 4yrs from ST4 level for all medical specialties. There will be another exam towards the end of training- SCE or FRCS etc

Plab দেয়ার পর কোন কোন কোর্স করার পর equivalent md degree পাওয়া যায়????
