As an update on January 30, 2024 has been released, I'll be replaying the game to explore the changes (my last gameplay was FFIII Pixel Remaster, an excellent remaster based on the original version). Hopefully, many of the reported issues have been addressed.
Kefka: Vwehehehehe! You see Celes I have destroyed the world and all is suffering! Celes: Leaves Albrook on the wrong patch of grass World: restored back to normal Kefka: Son of a submariner!
There was no beating. They took that out of the game. Apparently they don't want their evil characters to look evil. Beating women bad. Poisoning children okay tho.
Yea.... this is a case of someone copy-pasting exit events but forgetting one xD Like.... mega-studio games are really not that much better than RPG maker games when it comes down to it.
Fun fact the original Japanese SNES release had a similar bug where if you didn't kill all the rats at the opera house originally, they were still there in the WoR and you could fight them. And if you lost, it triggered the Opera House failure scene of you getting kicked out for ruining the performance at which point you were back in the WoB. And there was no way to correct it, meaning you were effectively stuck.
So what's happened here is the Albrook exit tiles were likely copied and pasted. It's entirely possible that the map for Albrook in the WoR is a copy of the one used in the WoB. When they were altering the map for the WoR version, they likely just used the same exit tiles, and altered the exit destination so that you transfer to the WoR as intended. The one exit tile that takes you back to the WoB was likely missed due to the tiles being copied and pasted.
@@ShinNessTen Yep, I have two released projects and a main project being done with RPG Maker engine and this kind of a different Transfer Tile (x,y) between others is a novice mistake on RPG Maker projects.
Ran into this a few times in vanilla RPG Maker back in the day. Have to have a teleport event on each tile of the edge, need to change something minor, have to update each event (I didn't know what calling was back then), annoying and repetitive but usually works, except for that time where you miss one. Feels like that's something like what happened here.
So like then what? Can you do anything to go back? What does the game consider you at play wise, right before facing Kefka on the sky thingy? Can you do anything to get the airship again?
If you have the blackjack on Vector Island, fly it to Figaro Castle, get in pass the first room and go straight out. Then you're back in the WoR as long if you get the Falcon first.
So is there a way to go back and forth? Like if you went back into Albrook would it be the ruined version and then if you exited the right way you would be back in the World of Ruin??
Have you explored the state of WoB after the bug? What point of the game is it? I could imagine this bug being valuable if exploited at the right time.
No, I just used a previous save to continue the game without trying to get the bug and I think the point of the game was before going to Floating Continent.
Wait, so given that the eastern part of the southern continent is still gone, would the floating continent still be there via airship? Or wait...would you even have access to the airship? If so, would your entire team still be there??
Actually not, because I didn't have access to the Blackjack Airship anymore (watching the video, you end up realizing that the World of Balance Airship stayed in Veldt and it's not possible to get there)...
@@RyanVitor06 Oh dang, so do you happen to remember if you entered the floating continent above the Veldt? If so, I guess this question won't be answered until starting over. huh
Holy shit, the graphics for the Pixel Remaster fucking suck. You would think they would have made the game for modern displays, and this looks like graphics from the late 80s. I'm so glad I got the 2015 Steam version to play instead of this garbage.

God damn this made my day. This is totally what Kefka WOULD say too rofl.
Kefka: "son of a bitch.............. well, time to go to the World of 'Earth' and dispose the remaker"

The good ending

Going back to the World of Balance to save General Leo.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Celes: *time warps to the past*
Chrono Trigger remake, confirmed!
You will become legend for this
There's probably a whole world of cheats that can be borne out of this. OP is delivering in unfathomable ways. Everything changes...

thats literally rpg maker basics 101= always check every "transfer player" tile lmao

Was this a bug in the SNES version as well?
Thanks for the heads up lol, been using 1 save up until now
Rookie mistake lol
Thanks for this! I'll admit though that it looks like you accidentally saved the world making it green again.

Ayo wtf!?
So that's what that was! I encountered that a long time ago and often wondered what happened, now I know.
Honestly if that was in the SNES I love it because theyre using some true blue source material.
Unfortunately the reason why it inherited the original Japanese version bug is that they used the original Japanese version as a base.
Kate. We have to go back!
WOAH! If I would of found that on my own I would of thought I was losing my mind.
Oops... and yay!
It's the opera house all over again!
Huh, the black jack is in velvet...wonder if there is a boat to reach it.
The PRs were a rushed cash grab? I'm shocked

would be interesting to see if its possible to go from the world of balance to the world of ruin early using this.
I can't get this to trigger on my save, I think they patched it out.
True... But also... Having a map on this game must be HUGE. I remember getting so lost as a kid
you could open the map by pressing r in the original i think
@@timbtw3656 my memory makes me think that only worked on the open world
@@BeansEnjoyer911 It does only work on the open world. The confusion came from you not specifying interior maps. And yes, they are super helpful.
Holy crap a reset button
Literally every port this company does have some kind of problem.
Was this a problem in the SNES version?
No
Oh crap! So, I would assume that if you save from this point, you will brick your progress any further in the game?
Yes, there is no return to World of Ruin.... so, I recommend you to have many different save files if a soft lock bug happens occurs in your game.
If you have the blackjack on Vector Island, fly it to Figaro Castle, get in pass the first room and go straight out. Then you're back in the WoR as long if you get the Falcon first.

What? How?? WHY???
Did they patch this bug? Can't seem to replicate it
Can you fix it by playing through the story again?
It's this already patched or still the same?
It's already patched.... since march of the last year, I suppose.
