My wife is not savvy in the kitchen. We were watching this together and she said, "I think even I could make this". I said, "that's why he does videos like this. Showing how easy it is to make something tasty". She's going to try making this tonight! Thank you chef! I can kick back with a beer in hand while my wife makes me something for dinner tonight.
Ok, I'm finally recovered. I kid 😆. She did really good! We're having dinner with her parents this weekend and she's going to make it again, for them this time.
I love your recipes, but what I love more is your attitude: relaxed yet so informative; respectful and mindful to food, people, food shortages, subjectivity of taste/preferance; inspiring - so I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your videos' views... Hope all will be well soon... You deserve it 🎈🌟
I'm a little late to this party but I really appreciate these recipes on a budget, along with the meal prep episodes. The other videos are brill as well of course, it's just that as a busy working professional these cheap 'n easy recipes are lifesavers on weekday evenings. Also I agree and would like to add on to your point about chopping the basil; I was always taught that when chopping soft herbs such as basil or coriander, you'd need a properly sharp knife to slice the herbs properly without bruising it. The reason why some other folks might think it's bruising it is because the knife used isn't sharp enough and whoever's chopping winds up pushing the blade into and bludgeoning the herb to compensate for the bluntness, ending up with the herb bleeding out onto the chopping board. If your board has a big green puddle after chopping, you know that you'd bruised the herbs instead of chopping it properly. There should be minimal green liquid on the board if sliced with a sharp knife. Anyways great channel, great videos, I was already cooking for myself but these videos have given me a lot more confidence that even I can make something much better than the usual dross that I serve up lol. Keep it up mate!
My goodness this is my go to recipe with whatever pasta I have when I feel lazy and need something quick to be cooked using whatever I have around in order to make it look appetizing and make the family willing to eat it hahahaha like tomato paste and bunch of dried herbs and of course onion and garlic not to mention different kinds of cheese added to the sauce to make sure it's everywhere when adding the pasta ... yours truly is a cheese maniac... oh and I think I'm the only one on earth who cooks without tasting I just add stuff and they turn as they should... they say my maternal grandmother (RIP) was like that. Thanks a lot for the recipe now when I cook it I can say it's famous and on UA-cam as well ... YAY!
Beautiful! This is an absolutely awesome household staple for everyone to learn and cook at home. Well put together video as always and easy to follow. Thanks chef!
Hey Jack, just wanted to say that I saw your post re: view count earlier and wanted to encourage you to keep going. Your recipes are awesome and super helpful for people short on money and time. Thanks heaps!
Even though I have made tomato pasta many times before (I'm not a great cook but I can manage basics) I still enjoyed learning from this. I've never used balsamic vinegar in the sauce before. Will try!
@@ChefJackOvens The recipe was, and still is, absolutely perfect. I just used a different pasta for it (Penne and macaroni). I added a slight pinch of MSG in the sauce before mixing in the pasta, and it really brought out the flavours of the sauce.
Really enjoyed this one Chef Jack. Simple but so much flavor and personality! Would you be able to make Omurice sometime? I've fallen in love with those flavors and can understand the popularity as a comfort food.
Ok...i was just going to make garlic butter pasta, but now changed to this recipe...your video has just come out before my dinner...yeaah .. Thank you Chef Jack...i know my dinner is going to be yummilicious...Take care...today iam not only sending you positive energies but also to you tube to get everything sorted out soon😀💕💕💕💕
@@ChefJackOvens I made it with fresh tomatoes, i took my time to take off the skin and seeds .. simple and delicious..i feel you spoil me with your new recipes 😃😃 cause after your Creamy garlic, butter garlic this will be my go to recipe 😋😋
Thanks for another great video Jack. I like to cut my basil when using it in a sauce as well. I feel like it spreads the flavor out more. Excellent work my friend. Hey, something seems different, have you moved? Happy cooking, UB
Another fantastic recipe! Love the quick simple ones, definitely helps with cost! Thank you so much for such creative and considered videos. Really love your videos and always look forward to you posting them :D
What do you think of adding plain red wine instead of a vinegar? Similar effect? Also, sorry to hear about your recent channel troubles. Have subscribed since lockdowns and really enjoy recipes like this from you
my friend - I don't think quick and easy is understood by you lol Let's boil water displays a chemistry set - lol - this is how we combine hydrogen and oxygen, add minerals, mix until they become friends, boil on stove top to reach 100 degrees Celsius or 212 degrees Fahrenheit - remove from heat and let simmer or fill your cup to extract the full bodied flavor of your favorite tea
As an Italian. 1 you will never find this dish in Italy. And 2 my nonna turned in her grave watching you use a knife on Basil. You Tear it with hands. Idc how sharp the Blade is 😡😡
@@TheGreatEagle_ typical Italian, gatekeeping food as always. 400 years ago you didn't even have tomatoes. Food evolves. You even stole pasta from the Chinese. It's just different noodles bro.

Red wine works great too. Obviously makes it more expensive depending on the wine but it will still taste great
Will try this thanks 👍
Please do! 🙏
Dude, make Chicken alfredo please!!🥺
Hi Jack, thanks for the video. Is that a stainless steel pan that you used to saute the onions/garlic?
Hey Chris. Yes it is. It’s stainless with a copper base for better heat retention
SO GOOD
🤤🤤🤤
Chef is there any other option to balsamic...
Red wine vinegar or red wine
❤itJack
Did you blend the tomatoes? Or smash them?
OMG so yum 😍🤤
❤️❤️
Does this work without the garlic? My other half is pregnant and can’t stand the smell/taste at the moment!
Looks delicious 👌
Thank tou
20 🖤 pepper
You can’t go wrong 🤤
how do you keep your chopping board so stable?
It weighs about 7kg and I have a grip mat underneath
Can I ask the brand of your stainless steel cookware?
I use Essteele per vita 😊
but for real this would be great for a romantic dinner
100 % you can even be like lady and the tramp. It would be cute haha 😂
Use however much you want.
😂😂
Haha 😂
Mmmmm!!!!! Saucy……
