I was a TV repair technician. I go to customer houses to repair. in the 90's CRT TV's were very hard to transport to service centers. I remember after fixing the TV. i was changing the channels and bumped into "MTV" and this "Rain" was showing. i asked the customer if i could watch this before closing the back cover of the TV. He was so kind to let me watch.
I share opinion of others, that this is very good song of Madonna. Not all songs of Madonna are of the same value for me. I appreciate and enjoy most of them and Rain is the one nice to see and hear.

I discovered this video in 2023 and it still look new to me. Wonder if people in my time could make such exceptional art video like this, it’s like the whole thing is straight out from a magazine🤔 👏👏👏
Many 1990s videos were very well made, and each couple of years in the decade was like a separate era of music video art: black-and-white, blue, purple, yellow, and red.
The whole thing is art. I would not consider myself to be a pure Madonna fan in entirety, if we were to incorporate viewpoints, but I admire certain aspects of her which she has used to her advantage throughout her whole career. She was the first "shock artist queen" to the mainstream media and then she became a humanitarian. I support her humanitarian views and actions but not necessary her political viewpoints or methods. Despite all of that, Madonna is a highly intelligent woman who should never be underestimated.

absolutely correct with that! you've put my feelings on this song into words: a sonic achievement. i can only listen to this trak LOUD AS F^CK because the production is, as you said, WAY ahead of its time. Ironically, this was my gateway song for Madonna, as prior I never really paid attention to her because my mum didn't like her. Agreed.. Live to Tell, This Used To Be My Playground.. but for me her first try at singing a ballad stands out.. "Crazy For You" the lyrics to that song were written by John Bettis.. Who wrote some of the biggest hit singles for the Carpenters in the 1970's.. The way Madonna sings Crazy For You.. you can almost hear her invoking the spirit of the late Karen Carpenter.
@@KNPrince Well put. Another good example of this is Madonna’s vocals on Ghost Town. You can almost hear the beautiful melancholy tone of Karen Carpenter voice come through.

I remember when it came out, saying it was "ahead of its time" is sooo overrated. Chesco loved his movie with Robin Williams
R.I.P. Ryuichi Sakamoto. He passed away April 2 2023. aged 71.🙏
sorry, He passed away March 28 2023. aged 71. Correct.🙇♂
Who the fook was that guy?
@@laptopkingsadam429 He is the one who plays the role of director in the video. And he was also one of the most important composers and pianists in Japanese history.
@@Alexdelempicka ...and the composer of many fine film scores.
Godspeed 🙏
The song and the video haven’t aged a bit since its release three decades ago. I still get goose bumps watching it.
Still listening in 2020! The most underrated Madonna song ever!!!
More like most underestimated ALBUM... there are many great songs on Erotica, Rain included, and the media just tried to kill this masterpiece of an album... Never understood why - scared of a strong female talking about sex and feelings? 🤷♂️
maybe thats why Lady Gaga thinks she can swipe and copy cat Madonna, not the first time she's done it either. I've lost any respect i've had for Gaga.
This is her best song after la isla bonita
100% agree - should have been a number 1 imo
forget the sarcasm, but no shit sherlock
Queen of Pop 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
Who’s here because you have taste in great music ?
I found this song thanks to my parents, I'm glad I inherited their taste in music ;)
Duh... of course. Did the Queen ever look or sound better than this?
🙋
Me, best talent ever. Still kicking ass in 2020. Go Madonna!! Thank you for all of the amazing years of music and freedom fighting.!!!! I'm with you all the way.
😍💖💖💖💖💖 loved it the day I first watched and heard it and will forever love it.
I never heard this song before I saw it in the Celebration Tour. It's now one of my favorite songs.
The video and the song are so beautiful. ❤❤❤
Grew up listening to this magnificent lady. This is one of her best! Put some Airpods in or earphones on, Turn it up to the max and let it shake you to the core x
it's good there are still teenagers out there who can appreciate real music and art.

Has to be perhaps one of Madonna's most artistic and impecable video ever. Pure quality and production in music, scenery, lighting, etc. A master piece for me.
Incredibly high production quality. Superb.
Frozen exists.
@@shannonsuxx this is one of her most underrated songs.
Great. Stunning vibrations. I vividly remember the nineties. That song has stood the test of time. A lot of money has certainly been spent on it. It is reflected in the result. Harmonious, vocal. Feat. Kind of memories of that time. You can play the album from time to time.
Fun fact: she recorded this Song on Just one take. What a talent!
Really? She recorded Mer Girl in one take also.
But she had layers, like there is a second note on top of another, she also serves as back up.
I think she did one take with Live to Tell also. One take wonder 😊
I remember this song on uncut gems
@@ronaldrodriguez9601 Hello, greetings from Canada 🇨🇦. How are you doing today?
Finally in HD!
Such a brilliant masterpiece - song and video!
Glad this gem is getting some love on the new tour ❤
Strong argument for Madonna being the greatest artist of her generation
