This is probably my very favorite Madonna song. You’ll See, I’ll Remember, and Rain.
This was one of the first songs I heard when I was first divorced. I remember hearing it on the radio as I painted my apartment. I remember one day in particular, when I'd gone to my apartment during my lunch break. It was raining, and the rain echoed in the empty place, but it felt like home all the same. Then I heard this song above the rain, and it was perfect: its strong message and yet melancholy tone were the soundtrack of my life at the moment.

That was nearly 30 years ago, but some memories never age.
When my mum got divorced this was her favourite song, the lyrics are extremely meaningful, I'm glad what you wrote, I agree with you.

I remember this song like it was yesterday. As a young gay man 19yrs-old growing up in the 90"s. I was homeless, My mother kick me out. I was raised in an abusive household. the day she kicked me out was the first time I stood up for myself. I stayed with friends for 2 weeks until I met by ex-boyfriend at the time, He was 36 yrs-old at the time He took me in right away. we were together for almost three years. He became abusive and jealous. I felt trap and alienated from the world. I had nowhere to go. I had to endure the abuse. util one day I found out he was cheating on me. I was devastated and broken. I was lost, confused and alone. I had no one to talk to. The pain was unbearable. I wanted to end my life. One rainy night I was in the car (sobbing). This song came on the radio. It gave me the strength, courage, self-loved and worth. I moved out of Springfield, Ma to Orlando, Fl. best decision ever! 26 years later I am still here living my best life. Thank you- Madonna!

I love how this song continues the story begun in "Take A Bow"! Madonna's vocals are beyond amazing. I like how the song does the flashbacks to "Take a Bow" with her being in love with Emelio Munoz, the bullfighter. Of course, we don't know what caused the breakup, but she was hurt enough to leave....and then he decides that he regrets whatever happened between them. I've been down that road myself. It's sad how some ex's think that if they kick you to the curb, that you'll never, ever find the strength and courage to go forward and make a new life...without them! Then they get mad when you do! This song proves that "there is life after love"!❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
