You should build a track with a lot of small-ish, not-very-hidden shortcuts, make the first one obvious and take it immediately so everybody knows what to look for and do... and then one really well hidden shortcut that requires you NOT take that first shortcut that finishes the track very quickly.

There's the one where he has to wallride and loop backwards, there's the one where he has to slam into a wall and his body gets sent down a wind tunnel, the back and forth level where he had to edit the beginning 2-3 times live because of even more massive cheeses found by people in the lobby...
What you should do to troll everyone is to make a semi-AFK shortcut. So basically, if you AFK you go on what seems like an AFK track, but after going through about half of the checkpoints you just die. However, if you adjust your direction at the very start you go on another AFK track (distinct enough that the first AFK track doesn't make it obvious how to direct yourself), and that one does lead you all the way to the finish with a fast time.
You know, it occurs to me that the storyline behind these shortcut videos is like an old Trickster story. You're playing Bugs Bunny, beating people much beyond his skill by outsmarting them

Should make a track where there's a bunch of valid routes to the finish, and you have to pick which way to go at each of several junctions, and the correct sequence is up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A. (Start is hidden behind an intangible block.)

Can't remember when but I think Dapper has done a track like that before.
